I didn't express myself well, there.
I understand it's all about business. I agree that selling a phone number or kik membership is just business. I also agree that nearly all models are not intentionally blurring the line between fantasy and real life. I'm saying it's the nature of the system that is the cause of this blurring. The fact that it is fantasy is never explicitly stated - for good reason - that would spoil the fantasy. Most guys know this, but there are a few people who don't read societal clues well. They are not necessarily unhinged, just unaware. In the real world, a woman giving a man her phone number is seen as a romantic opening. The guy who misreads the action doesn't see it as a business action and heads down the romantic path - almost always with unhappy results.
Another place where the fantasy/real life line is blurred is in the chat dynamics. Lots of discussion about real life stuff - music, movies, sports, food, what you did over the weekend, etc - that isn't fantasy. But the interest the model expresses in the discussion may be part of the fantasy or maybe not. The shifts are sometimes subtle and, for the unaware, are hard to read or completely missed. Once again, it's not the model's fault, it's just part of the system. It's up to the customer to read these shifts and, for some cam customers, one reason that they are there is because they aren't very good at reading those clues. He makes the mistake of seeing her "interest" in his discussion as interest in him.
It's important for guys to realize that most of the camming world is about fantasy, but, since it's never stated outright and the boundaries between fantasy and real life aren't always clear, that point gets missed sometimes.[/QUOTE Agreed that the fantasy/real life line can get blurred in the chat dynamic.
