A UK model friend told me she is planning on travelling to America by herself, travelling to LA first (via New York) then travelling round a bit, staying for maybe 4-8 weeks then flying home

When she told me I remembered Heidiv's bad experience with customs going to AVN -

I feel like since she will be travelling by herself, without a return ticket, without solid plans and maybe because she is a cam girl, she may have trouble at customs and seem suspicious

What do you guys think? will she have trouble if she says she is a cam girl with her details seeming flaky, is there any possibility she might be turned back

Thanks

Anyone without a return ticket and solid plans is likely to deal with extra scrutiny. Hell, even when I travel with fixed plans and everything paid by my employer I get attitude from the border patrol folks - for example, when I started travelling and was unaware of how annoying they can be, once I didn't have a printout of my return flight and hotel reservation but I had the PDFs on my phone which they refused to let me show them; the other time, they insisted I needed proof of employment such as business cards, but they accepted the corporate credit card which had the company logo on it... These days I travel with two copies of the plane tickets, hotel reservation, letter from my employer stating why I am travelling there plus a separate proof of employment letter and sometimes they still give me a bit of attitude.

On top of that, work is also likely to be problematic for her: for most countries (if not all), you will need a work visa for the US, so if she says she's going to work from the US and she only has a visitor visa/ESTA, she could have her entry refused. (In fact I've heard advice from multiple people that when travelling on a B1 [business] visa that you should never say that the reason for the trip is 'work' as it can be misunderstood as a misuse of the visa, instead explaining that it's for business meetings and the context of the meetings - usually you can clear that up, but it might be several hours later in an situation as annoying as what Heidi had to deal with).

There's a whole thread in the models only section about traveling as a cam girl tell her to get verified here. She should deff not tell them she's a cam girl though other than that I don't travel so I can't give any other advice I just know other girls had knowledge on this subject.
