Hi girls and boys!
this is my second post here. to introduce myself, I'm 22 years old and from the Netherlands.
I love the website and recognize some names. I'm just an average premium member on MFC though, so you won't know me I guess :)

anyway is there a reason for so many Romanian / Colombian girls? most are from studios unlike girls from the USA.
if i'm correct it would be like something:

45% from the USA
25% from Romania
25% from Colombia
5% from the rest of the world (most from Russia and the UK)

b.t.w. I have to admit most are really adorable / nice looking and they speak very good English. (only the Romanians)

Utterly personal point of view/opinion!

Unsure with Romania specifically, but I imagine it's something to do with rather than girls finding the site and signing up, studios finding girls and getting them.
US I always feel it's girls find the site - no studios.

My other theories as to why they are willing are:
1) Lack of jobs for ladies, especially ones that pay well but require no real qualification - ideal for students
2) High cost of education (I assume...)
3) Western influence and joining the European Union causing increases in property prices, and prices across the board.
4) Cultural pressure from others of similar age upon how to dress as compared with the US/European fashion trends.
5) Independence

But why Romania specifically, I still think studios are the main cause... they find the ladies. Why the ladies are willing, the pressures as above.

You're wrong about the education. They have free (tax money pays for them) colleges.

You mean free Uni education? College would be under age (UK definition of college is 16-18, obviously you can study in college at any age after 16 :D But whilst you can get degrees at some colleges, blanket term is Uni ).
If you mean Uni... then unless they live with parents, living costs aren't free. Do they get grants/allowances etc?

I think a big reason for studios in those countries are because the average girl doesn't have the money for a computer, decent cam and high speed internet connection. That, and I assume culturally, most of the young, unmarried women are still living at home with their parents and don't have a private place to cam. Combine that with few employment choices, low wages and the misogynistic culture at large and BAM! Every skeezy dude with a store front, some computers, cams and DSL has a webcam studio.

Well, um, in America we call it college...
University I guess? :?

They don't have tuition fees etc? Good system - wish the UK was still like that ;)
(we're slowly catching the US - now it appears a lot of Universities will be charging £9000 / $14000 per year).

The sistem is very different in Romania. At good Univ u don t pay any taxes, it s free education, just dunno how many girls on MFC can handle such a school, coz usually requires a lot of study. The models that say they pay for Univ -means they go to private Univ-that s different from what u all guys are used to. In here we have about 100 private univ where everyone can go, doesn t matters u r very stupid, doesn t matters u never go to class, doesn t matters u r gonna see your teacher for the first time at the final exams, all it matters is to pay for the taxes, wich aren t so big, comparing to your univ, 500-800 euros/year.
That s why so many models from Romania tell ya they are student ...that s kinda sad.
Why so many studios? Coz girls are too lazy to start on their own, okie as someone said in here they might live with parents or don t have money for a good pc or cam, but after a few months in a studio you can afford to get the things u need and pay for a rent. Why they don t do it ?!
Concerning the jobs...yes we do have problems in finding good jobs in here. After you graduate( and i mean a decent univ not the private one, coz then you really have problems, all you can find could be -selling shoes or clothes?!) you start looking for jobs, everyone is asking for experience, but if nobody hires me, how the hell can i have that experience!? Give me the chance to learn,to show you what i know and let me get that experience, nope in here they don t care, and as a first montly payment you could get about 400 euros ...what to do with that when you have rent and bills to pay!?

Romania is a part of central Europe. Central Europe has an incredibly tough legacy - historically, they're like the middle man between warring empires, often caught up in struggles that had nothing to do with them, often claimed as a symbol of superiority but seldom actually given any help. Since the collapse of the USSR, they seem to be in a constant struggle to improve their living standards and assert their national identities, whatever they might be.

Romania only joined the European Union in the last couple of years and I doubt the standard of living has improved dramatically yet. That alone should help explain why there are so many.

It gets even more complicated if you factor in places like Moldova. For most of the 20th Century, they were only ever regarded as a part of Romania. After the collapse of the soviet empire, they were one of the first former soviet bloc states to assert their independence and, while I'm sure it seemed like a good idea at the time, this seems to have worked against them. When Romania was accepted into the EU, Moldova didn't get make it in and most there are still struggling (their average wage is barely 100 euros a week, roughly $125 US and remember that's just the average, many are below that).

In that kind of climate, the idea of being a webcam model must seem quite appealing. Throw in a few sharks who are happy to invest some money in a few rooms and decent net along with promising big money, it makes a lot of sense why at least 20% of MFC comes from Romania (especially since a good chunk of those women are Moldovan/Moldovian?).

I don't know anywhere near as much about Central American poltiics, but the impression I get is very similar; they have very few job opportunitities and people (in MFC's case, read women) are much more willing to do whatever they need to do to survive. (As a sidenote, this is the reason I blocked Asia on MFC - the things models were willing to do to survive was heartbreaking).

Hope that helps :)

Look at the big brain on dazza! Mmmm bb I wanna stroke that big veiny brain of yours.
I feel I must throw in the well known worldwide fact that Russian and Romanian women are famous for being stupid levels of hot!
When I used to live in northeast Portland I was always baffled by this. There is a high population of Russians and Romanians in Portland Oregon.
You get on the train and suddenly find yourself surrounded by BEAUTIFUL woman in knee high leather boots! It's enough to make you forget the train smells funny.

You had me at "knee high leather boots". :) For realz, tho, is it just me, or do women in Europe just wear boots more often than women in the US? *hot*

Generalisations generally suck but, it seems like central/eastern European women make more effort to be dressed and made up beautifully even for just everyday stuff than western women often do. I think there are exceptions on both sides, but it generally holds true.

That totally looks like youre saying European women dress better than Western Women ... Ill have to agree to some point lol.

Yeah sort of, or at least it seems like they take more care with their appearance even during fairly mundane day-to-day stuff (as opposed to just special occasions) so it's like there is a contrast.

I noticed it when I was in Japan too...every young Japanese woman I'd see was dressed really fashionably - even at the supermarket you'd never, ever, see one dressed in a t-shirt and jeans.

I totally like hot bodies in jeans and tshirt - but i could live with never ever see a woman or man in jogging clothing in the supermarkets anymore. Especially if they look like they have never jogged nor intend to.
BTW a coworker is a lot in romania at the moment and from the stories he is nearly dying from sensuary overload when being there - his wife might get a bit of extra attention when he comes back from the trips. ;)

i wonder if the cost of internet and availability of high speed/high bandwidth internet is a factor as well. i'm in mexico and my internet is crazyyyyyy expensive, way more than i paid in canada, and has slower download + upload speeds. other latin american countries- like guatemala or nicaragua for example- have even worse internet availability. start up costs on the average persons budget (even if they want to start a studio) would be outrageous, and then the cam quality just wouldn't be good. i wonder if colombia has really good internet service/ cheaper service than other latin american countries.

Hey! CurlyHannah's post just made me sign up to Amber's forum(along with another thread i read before this,i must say).So...I felt the need to sign up and post a message to clear things out a little.I am gonna be mean and say CurlyHanna her self goes to one of those "100 private univ where everyone can go, doesn t matters u r very stupid, doesn t matters u never go to class, doesn t matters u r gonna see your teacher for the first time at the final exams, all it matters is to pay for the taxes".Her english and her lack of info on how things work in her own country made me say that. So,how things really are in Romania? There are private and state-controlled universities. If YOU WANT TO STUDY,you can study anywhere, state or private. If YOU DON"T WANT TO STUDY,you don't no matter what university ur attending. She says at the private universities u can pass exams no matter if you study or not,no matter if you attend the classe or not.FALSE!!!I have graduated 2 universities, the first that i graduated was a state university, the most prestigious university Romania has aka "Universitatea Bucuresti".At one of the very first classes we had,the professor entered the classroom and said hello. Then he just stared at us for 5 or so minutes and then he he walked through the classroom and chose 10 of us,asked us to stand and when he was done 'choosing',he told us,the chosed ones, that we will fail his exam till the end of time because he doesn't like our faces...Why he didn't like our faces?I have no frikkin' idea to this day.But what i can tell you is that he did indeed keep his promise, even if it turned out to a very very little media scandal since one of the "chosen" ones was a quite famous romanian singer. The second university i graduated from was a private university, the most famous private one, "Romanian-American University".I had a very very big surprise here as i heard mostyly bad things about it.But no professor told me he didn't like my face and we didn't had the liberty in attending classes or not that we had at the prestigious state university.Unless we could provide valid papers that we have a job(cam girl is definately not one of the accepted jobs),we had to attend at least 75% of the classes, otherwise we wouldn't be accepted in the exam session. In order to pass an exam, you had to study cause they didn't allow any "inspirational materials" during exams, like the prestigious university did(i mean using ur smartphone, having ur books n notebooks under the desk and so on).I know it's a damn long reply, but i want to give you examples so that you understand better. It's nothing like what CurlyHannah says it is.WE do indeed have 2 so called universities that allow each dumbass to become a student there(Spiru Haret university and Hyperion university). But anyone who studies there, has any other intention than studying anything, they only want a univeristy diploma/degree.The taxes are indeed something between 500 EUROS not $ and 1000 EUROS not $(1 EURO = 1.3634 USD)She says that at state university you don't pay taxes.FALSE!So damn FALSE.The private university fee is 500 euros. What's over 500 euros is for state university, they ask for a bigger fee for some reason. They do give you a chance to study for free,BUT you have to be one of the BEST students, and that means the sum of the grades you get when u pass the exams has to be somewhere between 9,70 and 10(and that's like a whole lot, especially for someone who has to work as well.those grades r for brainiacs.I,for example,i graduated with 9,20 and i never got a free-tax).As to what she says reffering to getting a job,it's almost true.Almost because she says you can't get a job if you have graduated from a private university. You have a lot more chances to get a job if you graduate a private university because the marjors they have are according to what the employeers are looking for nowadays, unlike the state universities that still have the same marjors they had during communist period. No one is looking nowadays for as many locksmiths as Ceausescu was looking for before '1989(that's just an example). You were wondering why there are so many romanians on mfc and other alike sites.Look at me,i graduated 2 univeristies,2 different marjors and yet no one is hiring me.They require a minimum of 5 years of activity in the field you are trying to get hired.Or they pay you (per month)what the average members of mfc spend in a couple of days on their fav models. How is someone supposed to pay the university fees, the books and all the other materials you need, transportation, rent, utilities and have some money left for food with that amount of money? And i didn't mention any money left for clothes, hygiene, vacation savings etc.And yes, romanians do like to be dressed up all the time...I'llgive my example again. My rent is 350 euros a month(i do NOT live in a fancy neighbourhood),utilities are about 100 euros during sprind and summer and about 150 euros autumn and winter. If you only eat at home and you spend around 150 euros a week for food, drinks. Now you do the math and think again if you ever thought life in Ro is cheap(i did hear a guy once saying that with 100$ you can live like a king in Romania :)))=)) )...About the studios in Romania...I read more threads about this and it looks like some of the girls who worked in a studio are so traumatised that they generalise and they misslead you(let's not forget the ones that overreact just to get your pity...).!st of all, this videochat industry is NOT illegal in Romania. It is absolutelly legal. But it is up to the independent model or studio manager if they work legally or ilegally.I worked in a studio for a few years,at first it was illegal because videochat was illegal, but as soon as it was legalised, the studio went legal too.The studio manager never asked any of the models for a bootycall.we did have keyloggers tho, because they wanted to see whatever the models type to figure out if she knows how to talk to members, make sure she ain't breaking the site/studio rules etc. There are more decent studios than bad ones, but it's up to the girls.Personaly,i don't understand why they work there for a few years and then come here and complain.QUIT as soon as you realise you're working with a*holes. They threaten you?Be serious! If all models will quit, they will be too busy chasing all of you.And you can always threaten back.In the end,if you'd all quit, they might think of becoming a better studio.with a better working environment.Studios do indeed take a huuuuuge percentage,up to 56%(the decent ones(dunno if there's some wannabe-pimp out there asking for a bigger cut than that).Well, there would be a lot more to say,but i made this post TOO LONG already.I just hope it will be a helpful post and if anyone wants to know more,i'll be happy to answer all your questions.Have a good one.Buh bye!

Sandara, you need to put paragraph breaks in your posts and a space after each punctuation mark please.

It's very difficult to read right now even though your English is excellent, thanks :)

Maybe this is more readable.

Generalisations generally suck but, it seems like central/eastern European women make more effort to be dressed and made up beautifully even for just everyday stuff than western women often do. I think there are exceptions on both sides, but it generally holds true.

I'd like to point out that you really have to differentiate between clothing and make-up.
I've made the experience that American girls tend to have a much bigger knowledge of how to do your hair and make-up, while the Europeans and the Japanese are more daring, fashionable and up to date when it comes to fashion.

I mean, just watch 2 "outfit of the day" videos on YouTube - one by a typically American YouTuber and one by a French, English or German YouTuber. It's such a difference. Watching YouTube fashion videos always makes me feel like most Americans are a couple of years behind us when it comes to clothing.

A couple of girls in my former class at school have been to the USA in their 11th grade and they all said that American girls generally wear sweatshirts, t-shirts and jeans. Where I live (Germany), most girls put quite a lot of effort into planning your outfit every day.

On the other hand, Americans are sooo much better when it comes to hair and make-up! That's something you can see on YouTube pretty well, too. They have more brands and apparently they start using make-up at a younger age than we do, too. They also use more products. Out of 100 German girls my age, I'd say that 8-10% use eyeshadow on a regular basis. Most are too scared to use anything but mascara, blush and foundation which is really sad.

I guess I'm 'special' then because I was able to read Sandaras post fairly easily....

I've heard Sandaras basic version from several of my friends in Ro with the added and emphasized comments about the corruption there still being a major factor in daily life as well as the Gyspy population having a somewhat large influence also. [To the few of you that aren't aware, the view of Gypsys there is not a good one.]

As to the Russian/Rom women 'hotness' and how they dress... I'd love to see a nice hybrid of the USA culture and theirs. [insert 'pervy' emote here] lol
A Nice blouse, tight jeans and thigh high boots.....

Hi girls and boys!
this is my second post here. to introduce myself, I'm cheeks100 on MFC, 22 years old and from the Netherlands.

45% from the US???? I wish. I hide all countries except US, Canada, UK and Australia and usually there are around 100-150 models available to view, with like 600-700 hidden, lol. So I would say maybe 20% of MFC models are US.

What?! Why would you do that, if I may ask?
