Hello there,

I just wanted to ask a quick question. I am sure all is fine as I see that MyCamGirl is an active member here.

I wanted a little third party confirmation that requesting deletion from the site once a model has stopped working is all above board. I have never dealt with mycamgirl before but have always been a little suspicious of sites asking for photos with a sign. I know they obviously need verification but a lot of sites used to just use this as a tactic to farm for photos and then never honour requests.

As I say , I am sure it is all fine, and I don't mean any offense to MyCamGirl.

We still have to get her accounts shut on some sites as her studio refused to close them (as they are assholes) and need the MyCamGirl removed after as one of her members actually tracked down her real name and posted it in her comments there.

<added> : I should also say that while I know that mycamgirl is a useful site for many, it is actively dangerous to a lot of girls. The ability to add country to the profiles has caused great distress in the last couple of years for girls in one country in particular. Of course people can always write it in the comments too if they are determined

Thanks!

The internet is forever. Dobt have much advice to give other then she could try contacting the site and requesting the comment to be removed as it puts her safety in jeporady.

Or if it was you speaking on behalf for her, they aren't going to do shit.

Idk maybe @MyCamgirl can explain. But they haven't been "active" for about two years.

Ahh thanks.. didn't think to check and see when the last post was from @MyCamgirl...

Was just hoping someone here might have dealt before with @MyCamgirl to see it was legit for removal and not another site using it to troll for model's details as some do.

Obviously she would contact directly from her email with her proof, I am just asking here on her behalf as she doesn't speak English.

I have mixed feelings on this issue. On one hand, MyCamGirl appears to be a hobbiest effort run by one guy. You do not know his identity or his background or his motives. On the other hand, his removal request and identification process looks pretty benign. He is asking for the model to just hold up a sign attesting to her model name. And he specifically says do NOT send nude photos and do NOT send personal identification information or your real name.

What would be your concern about her releasing a photo that is tied to her model name only, given that the website in question probably already has dozens of photos of her performing on camera and is displaying them all?

MCG is a super rad guy I've known for many years. He's tops! Very trustworthy and on the up and up.

That's awesome to know this thanks.

Do you have any idea why he doesn't try to commercialize that site? He has so much valuable data there, and he just gives it away.

Assuming a model sees value in the data that MyCamGirl is collecting, what are the specific elements there she should consider asking them to remove? The main thing that comes to mind is the profile photos. Those are typically accumulated from several different times and locations, and they might include social media or other photos that the model does not want to associate with her profile. Probably it would be a no brainer for all models to ask for all of their profile photos to be removed. Anything else?

I think it was started as a sort of hobby and ended up taking too much time away from other commitments, so it isn't being updated or promoted anymore. He probably doesn't have the time/etc to try to turn it into anything profitable.

I agree completely with Jolene. Had quite a few convos over the years with MCG here. Also got a girls page cleaned bc they were all comments from the same IP that was stalking her & posting what he thought was her personal info.

Thanks for all the feedback. Really appreciate it.

Yes the site is definitely a little tired these days. Very slow. Missing a lot of newer cam sites in the list. etc etc

I should maybe offer to spruce it up. My day job is creating massively scaleable systems for large corporations. (100,000+ simultaneous user, 1,000,000 requests a minute type things)

Hi. It is me. A bit late, but it is me.

Thanks everyone vouching for me.

as one of her members actually tracked down her real name and posted it in her comments there
In situations like this, the model doesn't need to send any verification. It doesn't even need to be the model to contact me. Just message me here or send me an email with the link to the comment and it will be removed right away. Commenting will be turned off on her page to prevent anyone from posting her personal info again.

For a more specific request (locking stats, removing photos etc) she may need to go through the verification. If she can get one of the sites where she is camming to email me, she won't need to send a verification. She can try this route. Most of the webcam sites won't have any problem doing that for her, though some sites will take a few days to contact me.

If none of the sites can help her, then she will need to send a verification. I am assuming she doesn't have a verified profile here on the forum. If she has, she can just message me here, and the verification won't be needed.

Do you have any idea why he doesn't try to commercialize that site?
Sell access to the data? No. As long as I can keep it running without losing money, it will continue to be free.

they might include social media or other photos that the model does not want to associate with her profile
You mean photos from her personal social media? I don't allow this to be shared on the site. Any comment that has links to personal social media, or photos from the model's personal life are removed immediately.

Not only these days. It has been slow for over a year. It is something that really bothers me. I want to update the site and make it faster. But time is something I don't have now, unfortunately. I can only give attention to critical situations.
