Does your "coach" by chance take a percentage of your earnings? Because it sounds like you are working under a studio, one that isn't doing anything for you, and I would leave them before concerning myself with earnings too much.

To answer your streamate question, no, once you are in the private chat window then you can only be seen by the member(s) listed in that pane.

What do you mean by "coach"? Do you work with a studio? If you do, I'd suggest rethinking that. There's not a huge need I've found to be coached or have a studio take away your earnings.
Adding to that, you will *know* when you're in private. The program makes a loud "ding" noise and then either your screen splits in 2 and you're chatting in the top window (premium chat) or you get a popup window saying somebody wants you in exclusive. You really can't miss it.
Best thing is to get rid of that coach and become a verified model here. Also, a lot of this stuff is trial and error, so give yourself permission to just learn the ropes for a while.
What studio did you join? With Streamate's 35% payout, every penny counts. I advise getting out. Remember some studio's contract require you not work the site for a period of time.
