OH yeah besides the little girl "walking" out of the barn my other fav part was the old man reading the bible and then telling Rick they had to go. Then Maggie throwing it up in his face. L O V E that shit. Mighty christian of ya :hello2:

Parts of the mid-season finale were totally predictable. I kept waiting for Sophia to show up all zombified, so that was no surprise. Not exactly a shocker that Herschel would cave when pressed by Maggie either. I keep hoping Andrea will punch Dale's lights out because that whining, busybody wimp is getting beyond annoying. Glen's character is developing somewhat into a leadership role, but can't help thinking of the Goonies every time I see him.

All in all, I gave it a :thumbleft:

I'm gonna go ahead and say there are some things in the comics I would be horrified to see on television, no spoilers of course. The comics effected me so much at certain points that (and yes, this is girly & lame) I got emotional. Angry AND sad all at the same time, haha. Plus, I have since gotten over my fangirlism a little & realize Kirkman is using the show as a way to do things he now wishes he would have done with the comics. It's like an alternate reality of the comics for me now, which I tend to enjoy.

I mentioned today to a friend of mine that I wanted to read the rest of The Walking Dead comic. He said lemme see your phone, plugged it into his computer, clicked a few things on his Mac, unplugged it, picked it up, tapped the screen a little, said Ah and handed it back. There was all 1 - 90 of the comics as pdf files. lol So I just finished up to the newest one.

And yeah Frankie I get it, I'm fairly sure I know what parts you mean. But a few more Game of Thrones seasons, people will get used to main characters dying lol

Yeah BFB if you have them read them! slacker lol

WTF! The next episode of the current series won't be aired until February 12, 2012!

It's a lot sooner than the last time. And in my opinion, it's worth the wait. This season has been surprisingly good after the weird, some what disappointing first season.

Like most shows that are based off of books/comics, I'm dying to get my hands on the Walking Dead series and enjoy the differences [because I've been told there is a ton of differences].

Watching the show, I found myself cussing at the screen. I could not believe the Sophia crap. I feel like the character was really stupid in the fact that she was told to wait, and hardly waited a minute where she was told to stay put. I get she was scared, but damn.

And I used to hate Shane but now I have a respect toward him. He's an asshole sure, but he is an asshole who survives.

The circumstances of Sophia's death was as much bullshit in the comics (if I remember right), but it took a bit longer. Either way, I hope they keep her mom's death the same because on a deep, lizard-brain level it makes a whole lot of sense.

Also, ONLY FOUR MORE DAYS!!! I can't wait. This season has proved to be a bit more gripping than the last by far and I'm excited to see who makes it out alive by the end.

Yeppers, looks like this season will be the best yet!

I keep wondering if we'll see Otis as a walker going after Shane.

As soon as they showed Lori driving with a map on the wheel, it was kinda stereotypically funny that everyone knew instantly what was coming, lol. Not saying anything about women drivers though. Will the crash cause her a miscarriage or will she get devoured by lame brains??

Oh ya, I totally forgot how hawwwt Maggie is her farmer's daughter role too! One om my favorite scenes thus far:

I'm a bit torn on the comic books. I really loved the first 20 issues, and then by like 30-40, kind of totally lost interest. It seemed they were repeating storylines and there was nothing new. I also think a lot of the characters are just....bad characters. I don't mean bad people, I mean bad characters...uninteresting, predictable...

In some ways I like the TV show more then the comic books. I know, blasphemy. However, even though they go in different directions and whatnot, they still have the same vibe as the books, and do the same thing to me as them: piss me off, make me emotional, force me to keep reading/watching through tricky cliffhanger tactics, lots of cool looking zombies..

I've been enjoying it a lot so far, simply because it is a long zombie TV drama.

SPOILERS:

and yeah, Shane needs to go. In my mind he's already dead.

I cannot count how many times during last night's episode I was hoping Shane would die. And then Dale get ripped open? I think that is worst than being bitten & waiting to turn. I was half expecting the kid to grab the gun & be the one to finish Dale off.

The guilt in the kid's eyes was awesome from "reminding-myself-they're-actors" stand point. That little kid has a great future if he's already this good.

Interesting twists this episode... I didn't see that Dale thing coming at all.
Me either.

However I have a weird feeling that Merle (Daryl's brother) will be apart of the 30 gang.

This! I swear he must be part of the thirty.

Also, bout the Dale thing, I made my hubs watch it just so I would have someone to turn to and go "OMG right?!!!!"
Completely forgot I could do that here... so....

OMG right???!!!! I didn't even like the guy and couldn't wait for it to happen but horryswit I didn't see that coming so fast!

I like Shane, and don't read the comics, but I have a feeling all of you guys know something I don't, and it makes me sad :-(

Lori needs to GTFO imo.

First off last night's episode made me so happy...TWICE!

BUT holy christ that kid's mom is either an alcoholic or is off banging the other men of the group because how else can you explain how often that kid wanders off by himself and winds up doing things he shouldn't do and seeing things he shouldn't see ALL THE F'N TIME!?

This. All of it. I'm also very stoked they kept Carl's part in the whole situation as it was in the comics, mostly.

She also pushed Shane into doing what he did with her little talk to him about how she is not sure whose baby it is etc. I thought she had a brain!

OMG I love this show!! I started reading the books I am up to book 12 my local b&n does not have any higher yet. I agree how hard is it to watch a little boy. It was also good to see that thhey some what followed the killing of Shane just reversed it if you think about it so that was cool. I will b so sad on Sun. :crybaby:
