I try to keep my stuff from being reachable by people who may know me by using a fake name with everything I do. That way, if people at least google my real name, porn won't pop up, haha. I know it's not a full-proof way of keeping it out of harms way, but it helps. I am really not worried about it though.

Google app that identifies people's faces and makes them searchable? Oh yeah, it's already in the works:

http://www.cnn.com/2011/TECH/mobile/03/ ... l?hpt=Sbin

(the caveat is that people will have to "check a box agreeing to give Google permission to access their pictures and profile information". Right. We all remember how well that worked with Google Buzz ...)

All I gotta say is there are obviously a large amount of people that feel the same way as us...

That sex is NOT evil... That sex is NOT shameful... And someone shouldn't be discriminated against for doing something completely legal in their own private time...

Let's stick together...! I'm not saying we can change the entire world over night, but everything happens in baby steps.

Be the change you want to see in the world. :)

Yes, yes, I know a lot of you are like... "Whatever crazy lady, the world isn't all flowers and pretty things..." Or whatever.. But just keep in mind how you really feel and try to project that onto the world. I'm not saying become a protestor or start some sort of group or anything like that at all... But when someone asks your opinion on these things, even in the "real" world... Tell them the truth. Don't be ashamed to say you don't agree and that you believe there's nothing wrong with sex nor someone being a cam model/porn star.

And if you do believe there's something wrong with it, why are you here? Why do you look at it? Why do you participate? That's something you gotta answer to yourself, I'm not saying answer it here. Just think about it.

There's nothing shameful in what we do. If you feel the same, don't just shut up about it if someone asks you or you are in some sort of situation where it's appropriate for you to express this opinion.

Either way, I love you guys and I'm so happy we do have a community here... We gots to stick together! And keep having amazing sex... Be it cyber, real, or both. Whatevs. We're getting off and the whole world would be a lot happier if they just shut up, stopped worrying about being politically correct and were honest with themselves and the world about what gets them off!

I agree, I think it's shameful that people are discriminated against and villified for choosing to work in the adult industry.

What I think is really shitty is members on mfc etc who call the models whores, other disparaging names, and generally think they're better than the models.

Two things here - one is the obvious hypocrisy of someone who watches adult entertainment feeling morally superior to those who provide it.

Secondly, women (and men) who choose to work as escorts are no less intelligent, articulate, interesting, and often considerably more tolerant, than members of the general public - even if they are technically "whores". Though again, society's stance on sex has filled the word with negative connotations, and made it a slur.

The fact that an adult can legally and consensually use his or her body in the adult industry to make an income - or hell, just to have fun - and be discriminated against, treated like a second-class citizen, forced to hide their identity out of fear of public shame and repercussion is just disgraceful.

A great deal of violence and intimidation against women in sex work is enabled by the fact that the women who are victims of it are either scared to report it and be subjected to possible public shame, or that they won't be taken seriously anyway, or both.

It's sad but true that police will often simply decide that if a woman escorts or works in porn, being raped or beaten just "goes with the territory".

Wow thanks so much for that reply Jupiter! I think you articulated it very well.

I fully and completely agree with all you and I think it is most unfortunate that people as powerful as police officers have that kind of attitude.

The bottom line is that sex workers (be it escorts, porn stars, or cam models) are people too, just like everyone else. I think this manifesto written by a cam model is worth a look - http://www.tastytrixie.com/manifesto.html. I think she makes very excellent points.

I also believe what you said about these type of workers being generally more tolerant than other people... And while a lot of them are in it for the wrong reasons (which I want to point out that EVERY career is littered with people in it for the wrong reasons)... There are plenty that are in it for the right reasons, and these people are very in touch with and comfortable with themselves, unlike a lot of other people. They are comfortable and happy with their sexuality and don't have problems allowing others to see this side of them. Speaking as someone who feels this way, it is not only liberating, but extremely empowering. Most (if not all) intolerance is only due to ignorance. They just don't understand... And a lot of women are intimidated by a sexually liberated woman (I get women hating on me all the time because I'm open about my sexuality and job, etc.). Anyone who's really intimidated is just uncomfortable with themselves!

Like I've said before, the world would be a much happier place if everyone was just less uptight about their sexuality. Get over it and get laid already! We all deserve great sex lives. Just be open and honest with yourself and your partners!

Nice to see someone dropping a Gandhi quote :p

Anyways. I have a lot of things I want to do in the world when I get older. At first I was worried about camming coming back to haunt me. But as i've started to get more comfortable with it all, I really couldn't care less. I just try to be the smart, kind, and funny person that I am in real life on cam. I know as long as I continue to be true to myself I have nothing I need to be ashamed of. When I first started camming I didn't follow that rule and I just ended up feeling cheap. Eventually I came to the decision that I'm not going to act all whore-ey simply to make more money. Right now I'm working on doing what is comfortable to ME (not what people want me to do) and I feel a lot better about it all. And if I can't maintain a certain level of dignity while making money (which i think is doable, with a little perseverance) then I guess I need to find a new profession. But I think i'll be ok :)

I agree with what everyone has said! Once something is out there on the internet, it is there forever unless it is deleted. There was a model that gave me some of her videos as presents for buying stuff off of her wishlists on Amazon and I uploaded one of those videos onto a porn site and she found out about it somehow and went absolutely ballistic!

She then emailed the site and had the video taken down!

If she didn't want me uploading that video, then she shouldn't have given it to me as a present for getting something off of her Amazon wishlist in the first place! The video gets taken down, but it's going to end up coming back somewhere else on another site, regardless of the fact of if it's another porn site or on the torrents.

Overreacting and being like "Oh my God, somebody uploaded a video I gave them onto a porn site! I'm going to get it deleted!" as well as acting like you're an immature teenager instead of acting the age that you say you are absolutely isn't going to help you out either!

Once something is out there on the internet, it's on the internet FOREVER and you can get the image or video taken down off of one site, but chances are that it's going to come back on another site or end up on the torrent sites.
That's a dick move. You have no respect for her. She gave it to you and you only. She did not give you the authority to spread it all over the place. You don't have the right to dictate where the video goes or ends up. It is her property. Not yours.

EDIT: Didn't know this guy was banned. Whoopsie.

I currently have videos on Motherless, ichan, various others... I've had many people send me links to videos of me on porn sites. I have had some taken down, but sites like Motherless are ruthless and won't take them down. Chans certainly won't unless you know someone (and fortunately I know a chan moderator who watches out for me.) I wasn't as careful as I should have been with my videos and I am kinda paying for it. I guess at some point you see 30,000 views on a video of yours on a porn site and you think "Well, at least they liked it. Sigh"

They aren't even always of you girls, so watch out. One video started with me sitting on my couch, topless.. just kinda chillin. Next thing you know, the video is of some random girls vagina going all out masturbating. No face, very little light. Just a vagina. This is the video for 4 minutes, then it cuts back to me. Are people supposed to think that was me?

Also: go to whitepages.com and ANY website like this and search for your name! Your name might come up with an address and phone number. Create an account to delete these or skew the information. I had a stalker find me very easily using these sources. Well, find my PARENTS phone number and address and harass them from 3000 miles away.... talk about an awkward conversation explaining what to do when they saw an unknown number.

Someday I'll have more tips when I have time ..

Explains why you have Massachusetts geo-blocked, forcing me to go to Motherless.com if I want to check you out.

If you're going to be an online sex worker, own it, be great at it and be proud you make good money doing it.

or don't do it.
Because there is no grey safe zone to work in.

Look before you leap.

Some models leave hints about their hometown with amazon wishlists.
If you know the town and its not too big you can search for pictures from that location - if the model is even more uninformed or careless she has a foursquare account with a photo and has even put her home address as checkin location.

I sometimes do research like that for fun and warn the models if i find anything - but i am a harmless internet nerd that lives in europe - it could also be done from the friendly stalker in your neighbourhood...

Ask yourself - do i need an amazon wishlist, do i really use foursquare or latitude and need it? do i have to add real photos to services like that?
You don't have to be paranoid - but please be careful.

Hell, some of them use their real names for the shipping address.

This is absolutely true. One of my best friends, Angela Sommers helped me get into the "cam" industry and she warned me about this ahead of time. She said, strong girls push through it and own up to it while others just quit. I have been modeling under my real name basically my entire life and when I started to cam I changed it to Brett Rossi. Well, sure enough a couple months down the road people started finding out what I was doing. My in-laws talked trash to my hubby and said I was a waste of a life, not marriage material and that he needed to "kick me to the curb". You know what we said? GET OVER IT. This is what I do and what I love. Not saying everyone has to accept camming, porn, sex, whatever you want to call it, but they do have to see past it because its your life and what you want to do unless they don't want to be associated with you anymore then... well...eff them. I'm one of the strong ones, i cried a little after hearing all the hurtful things, but now I'm living it up and happy. :0)

So long as you're not hurting others, no one has the right to judge someone else for their choice of occupation or hobby - and those that do aren't worth having in your life. :twocents-02cents:

I am afraid of my family finding out yes, but I hope to tell them the gist of it befor that happens. Essentially I want to say "I support myself doing somethig that I don't want to describe to you, but it is legal and hurts no one." They love me enough to leave it at that. I wondr what my exes parents would say, they don't lovve me so much lol

FifthElephant makes a great point with regards to facial recognition software. You might be an unpopular model now who flies beneath the radar, but it will only be a matter of time before we have computers powerful enough to scan the entire internet for pictures of a certain person.

This capability already exists in limited form today. Check out http://www.tineye.com. Tineye lets you search for variations on an image, but doesn't quite do facial recognition yet. But you can see where the technology is headed. Upload a picture of a girl, and find every other picture or video of her on the internet. I'd say we're definitely going to have that kind of technology in the next 30 years.
Quoting a VERY old post to bring up something current. Facebook launched something recently that automatically signs you up for some sort of facial recognition picture match up bullshit. Ladies who have both a model and a RL Facebook, I'd recommend deleting one ASAP unless you're really that open to having your on-cam and off-cam lives mesh. It's only a matter of time before your RL facebook recommends you start following your model-self. :D

what it all comes down to is TRUST and i found out most ppl cant be trusted!

the model is trust that the info/content she gives me will stay with me,as i trust that she saying she needs 200$ for food and bills is a true story, thats why im just giving it to her...

i like to beleive i can be trust one example is i gave a model an e-gift card as she was concerned about her safety and idnt yet have a po box.... well the email she had given me was (model 1st name)(model lastname)@yahoo.com, i immediately told her my concern and she changed it

but i was still curious and googled the name.she is 1 of like 5 models who i am friends with on their real fb,and yes we have had arguments in the past and inever once thought to say "well im gonna tell all your friends youre on mfc" just to win.

so models and premiums just ask yourself how much "do i trust the person/persons im dealing with"

with that being said i have found except for mfc member DORKIZ who is the main poster on whisperwhore who does it for sport....
most pvt vids that get posted by members of models is because in the words of BAWSKY she was a cunt, and was post in rage

model you reap what you sow like your honor among models ...theres a brothership among members and maybe you just think its good business getting an extra 550 tokens out of a member and not living up to your end of the deal

just maybe the guy you burned has a sympathic friend that you do honest business with........

thats my take on the situation just remember not every1 who sees you and your content values it as much asyourself

Jesus, bitter much?

Every post is a long whine about some model who scorned you.

Edited to include: Just ignore me I am being a bitch.

 @ "brotherhood of members."

Well, there's a lot of fine folks among the membership, but most I've encountered, if I saw them elsewhere I'd call them trolls. lol I don't go to cam sites to befriend, cavort with or conspire with other members. When they're cool, cool. But I don't see it as an "us vs them" at all. PLUS, I like women much better than men. lol That's just me.

I'd be interested to see how this goes but...I used to work with facial recognition software dealing with passports, and that stuff is hit n miss at best. It has the capability to say whether photo a and photo b are different people, but making a reliable and capable online search feature where you can input a photo and have it google every other photo or video of the same person well...until I see it in action that's just science fiction.

Facial recognition tech is, in my limited experience with it, used as a backup security measure and that's about all it's good for. Working with passports you needed to have an expressionless, clear, front facing head shot. Turned to the side, grinning, poorly lit...and it wouldn't work reliably.

Even then, I'd only ever trust it to tell me that someone ISN'T the person I'm looking for, not that someone is - there's too many variables about the recognition points.

Lol I tested it with this a front facing portrait pic of Merilyn Sakova, of whom there are at least 10 pages of images on google image, and didn't come back with a single accurate hit in 4 pages of results
