hey a thread named after me, you guys are so sweet. MUAH :p

Uh, considering your join date, it looks like you named yourself after the thread.

P.S. For your information, he's had that name on MFC for 15 years, he just didn't make an AmberCutie.com account until recently. So I really DID name the thread after him.

I realize this is an old thread... But the topic touches on a subject that's recently popped up on MFC that I think should make it out there for general knowledge. A premium member named AgeOfTim has been putting himself out there as being in possession of software that is able to identify members that are recording models, and was using chipin's to collect money on a monthly basis to "monitor" the rooms of the models being recorded.

Being in the IT industry for 20 years, and specifically working in IT security for 4 1/2... I am very familiar with the requirements for computers to communicate.... And I can say with 100% certainty this program does not exist.

For an application to do what he has stated... it would have to compromise MFC's servers, connect with the MFC database to correlate what users are in a models room, and what the members IP addresses are... Then it would have to scan the IP's of 100's, and potentially 1,000's of users... Then compromise the member's computer, and scan the running applications on those computers to recognize what application is a screen capture application

For this process to work, it would have to beat multiple security mechanisms in place like Firewalls, Web Application Firewalls, Intrusion Detection Sensors/Intrusion Protection Sensors, SIEM log management servers... And then perform SQL injection attacks... And this is simply to gain access to the MFC servers... Any application that might be able to penetrate MFC that badly, would give the the person running it access to credit card numbers, personal info of both models and members, etc

We did confront each other on the topic... And he stated that this application was written by a private software company for the government (Somehow he tried to link being in the Army as a reason why he would have access & knowledge of how this application would work)... While I have no doubt's the government is doing some shady shit with computers... Being in the IT security industry I can not think of any reason why it would want an application that would identified anonymous screen capture applications on remote computers.

Now the issue in my opinion, is the fact that he has been collecting money for his "services"... particularly from members in the form of chipin collections on his profile. The vast majority of members lack the technical knowledge to understand this is a scam... And some have been willing to "donate" money to this guy based on what models ask them to do. Now as word of what he was doing spread, MFC (assuming Leo) found this out and forced him to remove the chipin donations from his profile.

The point of this post is to try and insure that he's not pushing this scam out to models that might be paranoid enough about being recorded, they pay him themselves. If he does approach a model about this... And you're skeptical about what I am saying... I would suggest contacting one of the admins on MFC as I feel confident they will back up what I am saying. If you're uncomfortable with doing this, then insist he turn his cam on to show you the software work (Which I'm certain he won't do)

I just wanted to let models know that it might be an idea to steer away from Yahoo accounts. I'm helping someone who is trying to have her details removed from a site that actually pays money for verifiable information to associate with Yahoo! IDs - I did a quick check and found at least 12 clients' details (some more detailed than others) on the site. I doubt it is a lone site, but it's getting google hits which makes this personal information far to easy to access.

In contrast, I have a Yahoo account linked to my public life and there is not one shred of the private information I have in my Yahoo account on the site, so this strongly suggests the information is being manually uploaded for money by people on model contact lists.

Please be careful who you trust with personal information, even a little.

P.S. Don't use your real name in your model yahoo address unless you want all of bawksy's predictions to come true far too quickly :(
One of my regulars that I skype with (he just tips me on MFC for the show) begs me to get a yahoo account and says it's way better. Should I not do this?

Yahoo accounts are just as safe as any other site, be careful what info you put in the fields and make sure you have it tied to an account that they can verify with that may or may not be your own account. There is NO e-mail account that is %100 safe, if someone that knows what they are doing wants in, they will get in. :twocents-02cents:

I didn't read this entire thread, but my question is - WHY do some guys post girls' content on forums or websites? I don't see what the point is... unless she ripped you off and you're retaliating or something... but to randomly take screen shots and post them elsewhere? I don't get it. What purpose is it serving? To share it with those who missed it? What is he getting out of that?

Sharing with others is the last thing on those people's minds.
It's easy, they're just frustrated and disappointed with their own lives. And because they didn't learn it at a young age, they don't deal with their anger and frustration in a normal, harmless way (playing sports for example). Instead they feel the need to make someone else's life hell, preferably someone who seems to be leading a nice life, someone they envy. Getting the feeling that you successfully harmed another person, physical or otherwise, no matter if they've done anything to you, releases your own aggressions and you feel better afterwards.
People who haven't learnt how to deal with aggression will always behave like this.

They do it for attention and/or to trade content with other people.

On this forum, some people post screen caps as a matter of example and discussion, not as a means to distribute content to others (just for clarification).

I've been on these forums since they were first started, and I've seen a lot of dumb things posted here. But that, by far, is easily the stupidest thing I've ever seen anyone write here.

Congrats.

lol. It's not stupid at all. Actually, it's common knowledge that people who are disappointed with themselves take it out on others. Everyone knows that, I'm surprised that you didn't, you obviously belong to those people.
Pathetic.

How is that a dumb post? If a person goes out of their way to do such a thing as post a cam girl all over the web, they clearly have issues with themselves and/or too much time on their hands. Do you think it's normal for someone to do that?

Aside from trading content, there HAS to be another reason for it. It's slander. They don't like the girl for whatever reason; whether it's because she's too expensive, doesn't do what he wants her to do, he knows he'll never meet her or bang her, he's jealous or insecure because he's never had a girl like her or doesn't talk to girls in real life and blames everyone but himself, he did something rude and she responded accordingly...
They could be desperate for attention and so they want a reaction out of the girl by doing something they know she won't approve of... sometimes attention seekers get satisfaction with simply getting reactions out of people, because they know that reaction is caused by *them* and it makes them feel special. The possibilities are endless.

Actually a lot of models think so highly of themselves and their lives that they have to think anyone spreading their videos is doing it out of anger, jealousy, or a personal attack. While it's cool to know you're awesome... they don't do it for that. If they wanted to hurt you, they'll call you fat and laugh at you for being weak enough to cry over a stranger calling you fat in text.

It's not jealousy or anger; they share videos because they like touching their penis. Especially to a free video that's truly amateur but is too rare to find on redtube.

I do not think highly of myself at all, and I don't think I'm awesome, just to clear that up.
About the other stuff... yeah, maybe. But I don't think it's the main reason.

There are plenty of men who "like touching their penis" but do not spread videos. There are deeper reasons for things.

Yes I'm sure there are guys who like to share models they're interested in because they want her to do good and become more popular, and that's awesome to have support like that, but I was referring to the guys who do it when they know the girl doesn't want it.

I think guys should let the girl know, before the do it. Just to make sure she's ok with it, because it's still stealing content, you know? Plus it'll give him a few extra brownie points ;)

No model is going to be okay with a guy spreading around videos that are supposed to be tipped/paid for.

It's one thing if you're talking about a free teaser video that's posted for promotional purposes or whatever, and the model wants more people to see it.

But any guy that comes out and tells a model "Your dildo video was so hot that I'm gonna post it on ______!" is a dumbass who's just put his foot in his mouth.

Thank you Rosemary.

There's lots of reasons I'm sure. People like free pr0n and sometimes, sure they are trying to get back at someone, sometimes they like free pr0n, sometimes they genuinely don't even realize they are doing anything wrong.

It's up to us as camgirls to accept that it happens and do our best in our individual ways to deal or not deal with it.

Content as in anything, even a picture of her face.

But the person who first brought it up was referring to guys who post models' videos all over the 'net for the free wankers. Hard-working models who charge for videos are NOT gonna tell guys "Sure, go post my shower cum video on _____.com."

Exactly. Sharing is caring. Except when it comes to STDs.

Sure, some people who post content might do it out of spite, but for the most part, the Internet is for Porn.

Therefore, it's incredibly popular to watch, trade, steal, and wank to videos and pictures. Not everyone who does it is fucked in the head, it's just a hobby and something they enjoy.

We'll just have to agree to disagree there ;) Personally, I could never do something like that to a model if I were a guy; I just wouldn't share her stuff unless I wanted to hurt her or make her angry. I guess everyone is different.

May I ask how you view these threads here on ACF, that both models and members alike participate in? Or are they different?

The Silly Screen Caps thread is funny. I suppose most people who capture models and post the caps in this thread have asked the model's permission before, so it's okay.
If a model ends up in the sleepers or the man on cam thread, it's her own fault because she violated a simple MFC rule. :twocents-02cents:

If a camwhore doesn't want a picture of her face or a screencap of what she does in public on the internet, she's in the wrong business. I agree that posting videos without consent is crossing the line, but that's what this thread is all about. Isn't it?

I don't agree with that, because there are negative aspects to every job. There are ways to prevent it or keep it under control. Some models are simply too lazy to stay on top of it or it just doesn't bother them so they don't do anything about it.

Technically it's illegal to take content that's copyrighted from say MFC, and then post it elsewhere on your own accord. These websites would rather delete it then deal with numerous notifications about it and possible legal action.

When I finally start I'm going to be taking a risk that state blocking won't do anything for me, since my other job puts me in many different ones...
I'm willin to take this risk. I've already seen my doppleganger in a magazine ad and I can deny its me! >:|

Good luck with that, seriously, but there is no way you can keep it under control as much as you'd like. Some guys that enjoy trolling and pissing people off make it a point to post content that models don't want out there. I don't post anything other than here and Amber has a standing policy that if anyone wants their image removed, all they have to do is ask and it will be done.
