Camsites take 50 to 70% cut on everything a model earns, its time that they are held accountable for more than bandwidth and traffic.

FAQ:
For all tokens earned by the model, the model is paid USD$0.05 per token ("Five Cents") by MyFreeCams.com.
Now. purchase price for tokens varies for the member depending upon how many they purchase. Anywhere from $0.10USD/token down to about $0.075USD/token. It'd probably be relatively safe to say that most members buy tokens for about $0.085USD/token. But, it's a straight and simple payment program for the models to know exactly how much they will get paid.
Could you imagine the math, and extremely shitty accusations towards MFC if they paid a percentage of tokens based upon how much they were purchased for? There's be a lot of models claiming they didn't get paid right, whether legitimate or false claims (aka scams). In this case, simplicity is best.
I could be wrong. But, I would venture a guess and say that if a model works in a studio, then she's looking at closer to 70% taken from cam site and studio. So, she's making 30% of what's brought in. Which, for comparison's sake, isn't far off from other trades. For example, an auto mechanic working in a repair shop may get paid 30% of all labor they do, and 10% of parts they sell/install. Yet, much like the model, they have to buy trade equipment. It's not uncommon for auto mechanics to have anywhere from $10,000USD to $50,000USD (or more) invested in personal tools and equipment which the shop doesn't provide.
As to the topic of the thread: I support and applaud MFC in blocking sites who record a model's video stream. Sadly, I think it'll be short lived though due to technology advancements. It's always a game of cat and mouse when it comes to public video streams.
Personally, I'd like to see them find a way to punish members who trade privates or other videos. There was a long time where I was constantly being PM'd by people to trade videos or privates with others. I would send copies of the PM's to both the model and MFC in hopes of putting an end to it. Being that I block people who aren't on my friend's or model list, I'm no longer asked.
