Hi All.

Summer is over and I got some sparetime and was thinking about restarting my photo retouch service.
There by I'll do some free photo retouch out thru the winter months so feel free to drop me a request
if you wanna have done some nicely retouched photos for you cam profile.
Don't worry, I don't ask for anything back and it's all done for free within a limit. (I don't reach doing 10.000 photos just like that  )
Wanna give it a go and test it out? Drop me a PM or mail me at post at wrongpixels dot com

What requires?
- That you work as a cam girl/boy. ( cammer name / site ) :twocents-02cents:
- Able to provide high res photo. :geek:
- Have a good moode.

Best regards,
Bjorn / Wrongpixels :violin:

Well, isn't that the sweetest? You're taking it upon yourself to run a business in which girlies send you their intimate and naked pictures and you retouch them for absolutely free?

What is the point, then? Why do you offer to do this for free?
Can we see some of your past work?

Woah, harsh, people. I've thought about offering this a lot of times.... because I seriously enjoy photo retouching. Believe it or not, its FUCKING FUN! it's AWESOME! I can see why someone might offer to edit a few photos for free, because when you don't have your own to edit, it gets kinda boring searching for poor photos and editing them, with no final use for the photo.

The only difference is that this is a guy, and I am a model. Some people don't know how to edit, some people would like the pimple off their nose in the profile photo, or the stretch marks made slightly less noticeable.

Yeah, I can see how this can be construed as "guy just wants free photos" but .. maybe not. Devils advocate here.

The offer was done as a good gesture to get feedback for diffrent people when the work was done but it seems to be the wrong place to offer it.
It somehow sound that I have to defend myself for looking at photos for free. wtf? If people did read the topic it says profile photos.
If I wanned to watch free profile photos I think I don't need to retouch them to get access to watch them.
So all the people who a whining about being afraid to "give away" free profile photos for retouching, can do the retouch themself. :thumbleft:
Anyway, I'll leave with some client work I did earlier. All photos are skin retouched and got replaced background.

Nope, the difference is you have an established reputation here as being trustworthy. He is new and hasn't built up a credible reputation yet. Yes photo retouching is fun and can be a very handy service to provide to others but if you're lacking references then it won't matter how good you are. :twocents-02cents:

@Wrongpixels maybe offer some references for those who may want your services and offer to somehow show that you're not just some random creep looking for free images.

I should probably stay out of this, but I'm a little bored at the moment, so I'll go ahead and be a fool.

Seems to me this guy makes a good point that he hasn't asked for anything he couldn't capture for free anyway if he just wanted images for himself. He's talking about profile pictures, not nude photo sets that models sell. A lot of profile pictures aren't even partially nude, and if you plan to post them on your profile, they can be copied. Maybe I'm missing something here, but there doesn't appear to be much risk involved in sending him a few photos you intend to make public in any case.

Outside of camming I'm very involved in professional photography. Not as the photographer but as an assistant. I get awesome images in exchange for working for free. <--- not important really, just wanted to clarify my connection with the industry. What he's offering is a pretty standard business practice, though this may have not best the best venue to offer it.
The idea is to offer a few free retouches in hopes that you will love his work and pay for future services. Similar to TFP (trade for print) test shoots.

A link to a website and a few references would have gone a long way though, since you are advertising to a forum of people who for the most part are not familiar with that side of the industry, and you have no reputation within the site to work off of.
The images you posted don't do much since they are not in an actual, clickable portfolio.

I hope that if you are very serious about this business that you re think your approach a little, so that you can grow. :) I'm all aboard supporting those working towards their dream so Good luck!

once again it seems that some are so fast to jump on and attempt a bodyslam when a simple handshake would be more appropriate.... geesh . And I've always thoght I was jaded... :?

I would take you up, if I wasn't so adamant on learning to do everything myself.
I'm wanting to do a line of non-nude wallpapers that I'm working on today, actually.

It looks like you do great work, though, those girls look gorgeous.
Good luck and I hope you find lots of awesome girls to edit :)

Jolene made some great points! Take this and learn from it and make adjustments, don't just quit. :)

I got this whole thing started so I should jump back in here and clarify something. You do say pictures for profile, but that's not clear as to what kind of photos just from reading your initial post. If you had said something like background photos, main images for profile, something that didn't look like you were just another guy looking for free pictures, it probably would have gone over better to start.

Now that you've clarified what you meant, I want to apologize for my original reply. It was sarcastic and rude.

I think you would have gotten a better response if you had posted those examples right away :thumbleft:
Seriously they look great.
I may actually send something your way, I've been thinking about changing my avatar on Stream Mate.

Also, the OP needs to try to understand how often guys try to talk cam models into stuff lol "oh I'm a photographer bb!"

So while you seem genuine, you DO have to provide some references/examples if you don't want the reaction you got.

Getting offended when you were gently teased doesn't help either - just understand the girls point of view and welcome to the board. :twocents-02cents:

I have a technical question. Why do we see so many professional photos with a yellow cast to them. Is jaundice the new in thing?

I see this on magazine covers, CD covers, everywhere. I understand how some colors are used this way to set a mood, but yellow?

There's so many different things that it could be: filters on the camera, white balance being off, iso wrong, shooting in poor lighting, the model has a bad tan, filters in photoshop, etc.

Many people who retouch photos use simple filters that increase saturation and vibrancy [especially for porn stuff]. Unless a photo is perfectly color balanced beforehand, those colors flop right out like your granny's bosoms in a slutty shirt. When you're editing a lot of photos at once, the job is small or you're doing it quickly, it is much easier to lose sight of yellow tints than blue tints which look more unnatural. (Other reasons may simply be shoddy work or an attempt at a tan look for more pale models)

As far as this thread goes, though, I sent a message to the OP. He is apparently part of a large number of networking sites and got more interest in his offer elsewhere, so it is my understanding that he will not be checking this thread anymore.

I've liked his examples more than I've liked any other guy who's come on to these forums offering services before. If anyone is actually interested in free professional photo retouching (which tends to be pretty damn expensive), you may still get a response if you send him a message.

Yes, I understand that color balancing in batch mode will leave many photos with a yellow cast. But if it's for single purpose, like an album cover, I would think it would receive special attention.

Blue may be unnatural but it gets a pass if not overdone more than yellow...or maybe I'm just overly sensitive to yellow. :) Just for the heck of it, I messed with one of the examples:

Yeah I feel the responses were WAY harsh. He didn't ask for nudes.... or really any specific photos except high resolution. The examples deffinately help though, as we dont know your skills or the type of work you do.

I sincerely hope the harsh responses dont run you off as I'm sure there are ladies who could and will benefit from the offer.

I don't even know the guy but this sadly seems to be the frequent timbre of the forum in the last few months.
In the animal kingdom, many here would bite first and then sniff when a cautious sniffing is all thats really necessary.

Really? I read them again just to be sure, and Allison is clearly joking, Lily just asks if there's a catch, some examples of previous work, as did Jessi...he reacted as if it were harsh, but I can't actually see that it is.

It's sometimes hard to tell if people are joking through text. If I got those responses, I would have ran.

Yeah, I liked his examples too, and I thought he was polite and respectful in his original post.

It's not like he came on here to post a thread about wanting to find a female cam model to be his roommate.
