Today I learned Senator Warren has a Reddit account. Neat.

I think the image in the reddit post was from Twitter, but I could be wrong. (If that's what you were referring to. I mean, she may actually have a Reddit account too)

Can someone on CB or MFC please tell me if you're experiencing a busy time? It has been the most dead week I've ever had wow! Like no one has tokens. It sucks because I changed cam rooms, stream witth obs and an ethernet cable now so my connection should be good. I hate when you freshen things up and word a bit harder but...crickets in return...

It hasn't been dead for me on CB, just spotty and inconsistent.

It took me 6 hours to earn 162$ off both sites today😪
Ouch, that's a long time to be on cam. I know the feeling though and when you need the money you keep pushing yourself until you break. Americans are, of course, planning for Thanksgiving. Not sure what Europeans are up to this time of year, though. Lately the less I care, the more I make.

Dad and I were just talking about this scumbag. Imagine being such a despicable human being that you have your pregnant girlfriend murdered (because you don’t want the kid…and don’t want to have to pay child support).

Cherica Adams was murdered by a hitman in 1999, but her baby Chancellor survived and was born with cerebral palsy. He just turned 25 last week.

I'm amazed at how just about every business here in Australia is having Black Friday sales over the last couple of weeks.
Maybe just another opportunity to try and generate profit shouldn't come as a surprise, but because Black Friday is associated with US Thanksgiving, not any local Australian event, it just seems weird to me.
Most of the folk I talk to about it have no idea what BF is, anyway.

Most Americans didn't either until some scuttlebutt about 24 years ago became the next big marketing campaign for this day. I guess it's most similar to Canada/UK/Australia's boxing day.

Edit to fix my time frame.

Its in Colombia too some stores call it black friday others just call it black days

The latter would probably be more accurate in the U.S., too. It’s rare these days for a Black Friday sale to be limited to just one day. Aside from doorbusters, most of these sales started days or weeks ago.

It’s all about generating FOMO. I can tell you that as a digital campaign manager, these days are not the game changers, not for the serious retail clients anyway.

Buying Baldur’s Gate 3 has been the best and worst decision I’ve made in a long while.

Best because it’s amazing and I love it.

Worst because all I want to do now is play it. And, I’m also now in love with a fictional vampire elf.

It's nice and helpful to see someone in marketing sharing that. The FOMO is real!
(Lol my checking account is at $5.31 balance right now hehe).

This is me trying to find threads to post in so I can get back into MO after a several year hiatus from camming, but 90% of the new posts are from people complaining that their CB account has been banned so idk where to contribute lol 🫠

Anyone else have pets that are obsessed with eating the most random shit?

One of my cats is obsessed with the net bags that come with some vegetables/fruits (like avocados and onions) and any clothing that has strings (especially spaghetti straps). I just got groceries delivered and was picking everything up. First thing I did was cut open the bag with the avocados to take them out and throw the bag away. Well, the garbage can lid didn’t close and while I was still picking up groceries this little asshole jumped into the garbage can to eat the net bag. I caught him and he ran away and started choking on the part of it he must have swallowed. He’s fine now, hopefully he will pass whatever he ate, but it scared the shit out of me. He’s also destroyed multiple dresses and shirts of mine by biting through the straps, so now I have to be extra careful with keeping clothes laying around.

My other cat is obsessed with those bright blue panty liner wrappers. He’s also jumped into the garbage can to eat them before. Last time I caught him doing this I ran and tried to pry it out of his mouth and he swallowed it before I could yank it out his mouth. Thankfully, no blockage with that, but I did have to sift through cat poop to make sure it passed for two days.

Why are my cats such moron garbage cats?!

Apparently a neighbor in a nearby server cabinet has pissed off the wrong person because they are getting targeted by a 900gbps ddos which is so large it causes my server to drop too and it's happened on two different dates. I have multiple backup servers that take over but still that's crazy.

My dog ate the corners of crown molding....I am not sure if she's ever stopped as I no longer have any corners left.

Have you any cat grass?

Our cats used to eat all kind of raw fish, i was preparing a fish meal once, must go to the bathroom and left the fish on the counter.
After returning, i saw a dead fish moving alliong the floor pulled by one of the cats. That evening no fish for me, i am sure the cat was happy with a belly full of my fish.:rage::rage::mad:

I just saw a post about anesthesia and people are saying how now it’s standard practice to be fully sedated/put under for wisdom teeth removal. Is that really a thing? I had my two bottom wisdom teeth removed about fourteen years ago and all I got was local anesthesia and some laughing gas. I was aware of what was going on the whole time and the procedure was fine. One of my teeth had to be cracked for them to extract it and I distinctly remember the sound of my tooth being cracked while still in my mouth, but it still wasn’t that bad and the whole procedure took about fifteen minutes. I eventually need to get one of my top wisdom teeth removed because for some reason it decided to descend when I was 30, and I would 100% rather just local anesthesia to numb it and maybe some laughing gas rather than be put under for it.

I’ve heard a lot of people say that you’re usually put to sleep for wisdom teeth removal. I only know one person who’s said that her (adult) son was awake for his, and she said she could hear him from out in the waiting room…and it was very upsetting for her to hear him in agony. Tbh when she told me that, I was shocked to hear that they would do that procedure on an awake person. I am terrified of the dentist, and the only way they could ever get me to agree to wisdom tooth removal is if they put me to sleep. I would not be comfortable with being awake for that, even with the anesthesia. I always say that I’d rather go to a gynecologist appointment than a dentist appointment. That’s how much I dread it.

I’ve only just recently started going back to the dentist last year in January…after going YEARS without seeing one. I hadn’t taken proper care of my teeth, and as a result they found 15 cavities that they ended up taking care of last year in multiple appointments. That first full mouth debridement appointment was absolute torture for me, and my lip was trembling in fear…and I almost threw up. I was so scared. I am glad that I got that (and all the other appointments that came after that) done, because my teeth look so much better now. I have an appointment coming up on January 27 for a cleaning.

After my very last fillings appointment, though, my right jaw remained stiff for a whole month. Biting into a peach was painful. They told me that’s not supposed to happen, and they’d realized it happened because of how long they had kept my mouth wide open at that last appointment. They had filled 7 cavities at that appointment, when the usual was only 3-4 cavities per appointment.

I also absolutely hate the dentist. Aside from the wisdom tooth, I need a few other things done and I keep putting it off. It’s so weird because I normally don’t have much of a gag reflex, but when I’m at the dentist I do. I think it’s a mental thing.

Plus, I have a really… bony mouth, hahaha. I know that sounds weird, but the roof of my mouth isn’t like a dome, there’s a bony part in the middle that comes down. I didn’t even know that wasn’t how most people’s mouth are until one day my best friend was looking in my mouth for some reason and she noticed and was like “that’s not how mouths are” haha. It’s apparently totally benign and I’ve always had it, so it’s whatever. However, it does make getting X-rays of my teeth extremely hard to do. Last time I went to the dentist I was having trouble keeping the imaging stuff in place in my mouth because of it and the tech was getting legitimately mad at me. In the end, I ended up having scratches all on the roof of my mouth because of it. Not fun.

But even with all that, I think I’d rather be awake when I get this wisdom tooth pulled. I’ve never been put to sleep for a surgery, and the thought of it scares me more than the actual surgery. TBH, it wasn’t really that bad being awake for it the last time. I’m sure the laughing gas helped out a lot with that, but it was over so quick and I can’t see myself justifying the extra time and cost to be put under. It also wasn’t painful during it since my mouth was totally numb. I could feel the pressure and it was super weird hearing them break my tooth, but yeah. The real pain was afterwards when I thought I’d be able to deal with the pain with no pain meds, so when the local wore off and I had no pain meds in my system I was literally sobbing from how bad it hurt until I took the meds they prescribed me.

Sedation dentistry uses the same medications one would take to be put under for an abortion -- medications that run in the Valium family. It's not full surgical anesthesia, that kind of anesthesia requires intubation to prevent aspiration in the lungs during long surgeries. So, they give you some crushed up Valium and about 15 minutes later you're asleep and then they slowly wake you up after.
