As an outsider the gun situation in the USA appals me. But also it seems to me that gun culture is too entrenched for there to be an easy solution.

I have zero fear of being confronted by a gun wielding person. A by-product of our gun restrictions seems to be that since our police do not have to be in constant fear of being shot at, they rarely draw their guns and shoot citizens for seemingly no reason. This also makes me feel safe if I am ever pulled over by the police.

People hold us (Australia) up as an example, and it is true we have very little gun crime here apart from a little between a outlaw motorcycle or other criminal gangs etc, but we never had the same gun culture that the USA does before our gun regulations were enacted. (In my opinion it is the only good thing that particular conservative Prime Minister did during his tenure.)

I truly wish someone *would* make America great again.

It is appalling. The gun violence in America is awful. But I agree, there's no easy solution and I don't think that simply banning guns would do anything well, especially at first.

I just personally believe that the best way to solve the issue of rising crime/gun violence in America is through proactive measures (better mental healthcare, better education, better economic situations, etc).

And I also agree that I wish someone would actually make America great again. It's certainly not going to be Trump.

Yes you are right .. government is now more concerned about porn industry mainly because adult camming has given the power directly to individuals and performers .. they can do their work in confort of their home without answering to anyone and without any danger of any sexual disease etc ... It's the pressure of adult industry through government because they don't like us working and enjoying without their part and profit in it .. adult camming really empowered individuals who have talent to earn through porn but can't expose themselves to porn industry .. I have been watching porn since long time but in last few years, I don't like to see traditional porn, as camming is way more interactive, fun and feel real because we can relate to cam performers more than to porn stars.

The government is more concerned because now the adult industry is more in your face, for lack of a better way of putting it, than it was before. Onlyfans is a household name and whether you're on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Reddit or TikTok, you're bound to see someone who is advertently or inadvertently promoting their OF, even if that's not what you're looking for. Which has led to more people being exposed to sex work, even when they don't want to be, and bitching about it and politicians have picked up on that. And so, you have hypocritical politicians promising their constituents that they will "make porn illegal" to garner their support. Because despite more people dabbling in sex work, it is still looked down upon by the vast majority of the public.

What do you mean that the government doesn't have their "part and profit" in it? Camming is still legal. All our income is documented and reported to the IRS. In fact, because of the way self employment tax laws have changed (thanks to Trump, the person who supposedly helped make middle class taxes lower), us 1099, self employed workers have to pay a metric buttload in taxes.

And about your claims towards traditional studio porn. I'm personally all for people being independent. However, about the "sexual disease" part. You do realize that all legit porn studios require up to date std/sti results before shooting? You're way more likely to catch an std from having casual sex with someone you met on a dating app than you are by doing studio porn.

It just seems like you're looking at the adult/camming industry through rose colored glasses. Which is good for you. However, people who have been in this industry for a long time, who actually cares about the future of the industry and those in it and whose entire livelihood hinges upon this industry realizes that it's not all rainbows and sunshine.

There's a very easy solution to ending gun violence and people leaving loaded guns everywhere -- insurance. Make an entity legally financially responsible for shootings and voila that number will magically go down.

Yes no work or industry is without pro and cons .. I was trying to say that adult cam gives access to far more people who could not other wise join traditional porn industry .. yes, there must be exploitation in this work too but it can easily be handled as here no model is obliged to work with studio or depend on someone else to earn .. if you have laptop or phone .. you can work from anywhere .. and my point about govt is being cut out of profit is that I'm referring to porn studios which are no longer needed to earn by selling your services .. yes everyone being charged with applicable taxes but model don't have to share anything else with anyone .. there income is there income and it gives financial freedom to them!!

I had some relatives visit me this weekend. My brother-in-law asked me to go for a coffee run with him, but seemed he just wanted to show off his latest sporty BMW (he works in finance and ticks all the classic stereotypes that get associated with such a job).
On the way back, he asked me if I wanted to drive his car. I said thanks, but no, I'm good. He threw the keys at me and said 'C'mon, you owe it to yourself to drive a decent car for once, see how it feels'.
That tested all my willpower to avoid ramming my fist down his throat.

Well could have been worse. You could have sweetly said "sure", then rammed it into a wall hehe. Which I think would be a legitimate temptation for many of us, had we been in your shoes, for that situation.

Funny about the stereotype though. I dated a mortgage broker in my twenties and he had 2 BMWs. I didn't even know that was a stereotype, but rings true here. Although the one I dated also had an alter ego where he believed he was Harry Potter, so idk how common that is in the financial sector too? I.e well developed alter egos 🤷‍♀️ He bought me an expensive cashmere scarf for Christmas one year, and I got so mad at him that I lost it, and used it to clean out the toilet bowl with bleach one firey December night. Shit happens. I have to say, it did do a wonderful job on the inside of the bowl though. Who would've known 🤷‍♀️

I wouldn't have resisted the urge at all, but it would have been a verbal beatdown. Something along the lines of "I'm sure your other car is a Tesla, douchebag." Or, "If you're so Wolf of Wall Street, where's your Lambo?"

I’ve missed doing fx makeup. I did a Mileena look with the fangs and all about a month ago. One of my friends who saw the look asked me yesterday if I could do some sort of fx makeup look on him for a Halloween party he’s going to tonight. We didn’t have any concrete ideas at first, but he decided he wanted a sort of Two Face, half his face burned, sort of look.

I am so happy with the way it came out. I’ve never actually done a legit burn look before, and I winged it with the minimal fx makeup I had. Liquid latex, cotton balls, rigid collodion and a bare minimum wound color oil palette. He was also happy with the result and was like “you should do fx makeup as a side hustle”. Wouldn’t be a bad idea, and I think I might start practicing more and building up a portfolio.

ETA: There’s a Spirit Halloween store like a block away from where I live, so I think on the first I’m going to hit up their 50% off clearance sale and stock up on some fx makeup! And yeah, for those who didn’t know, most Spirit stores do a massive sale after Halloween to get rid of all their inventory. I know awhile back it used to be 50% off everything on Nov 1st and 75% off everything on the 2nd.

Oh yeah they're all wizards aren't they?
I'm off on a tangent, but people who are always so full of their own self-importance always remind me of a sketch by Steve Coogan (UK Comedian in case he's not well-known?).
He had a great character called Gareth Cheeseman who was a salesman. In his sketch "Death of a salesman" there's this scene at a big sales conference where GC is hyping himself up to go make those big impressions.
Maybe I'll just let it speak for itself:

That scene is later followed up by this one, after he thinks he's clinched a good sales deal. That scene ends in disaster when the housekeeping girl walks in on him as he 'celebrates', but I'll leave that one for now.
Nothing explicit in the below short clip btw.

BMWs are actual good vehicles though, so there are legit reasons why any person might buy one.

I am sometimes guilty of prejudging people based on what they drive. For me, it’s usually these vehicle types:

- Anything with an obnoxiously high lift kit
- cars that have been purposely modified to sound like an amplified lawn mower
- Cyber trucks

My roommate has the funniest way of doing things. He will arrive home with a bunch of different ingredients for meals, that he does not know how to cook. Then he will make some vague comment like "oh I'm going to make tacos this weekend, feel free to have some". Over the years I have learned that what this really means is: "please make me tacos this weekend, I bought the ingredients" 😂 not complaining, I actually don't have a problem making him tacos, especially if he bought most of the ingredients. Because I actually don't cook that often, and mostly my partner makes meals for all 5 of us.

I just think it's so funny how some people communicate. I can guarantee you that if I do not make tacos with the ingredients he brought home, they will just sit there unopened for the next year. He has absolutely no intention of making tacos himself 😆
