The network is crap in Canada. We have to pay more ($11.99) and don't get any internet streaming. It's an actual television channel, witch a lot of the country can even get. :angry4:

Canada sounds positively awful.

I watched the NXT Rival special this evening. I have to say, all the talk about quality seems well-deserved. I'll have to go back and watch all the last few "brass ring" months to catch up. Even the fatal four-way for the women's title was awesome. I can't recall a WWE women's match that has held my interest until now. And Balor vs. Neville? Damn. Good stuff.

NXT is the best thing WWE has going. The ladies there usually put on a great show. Then they get to the main roster and get no time to put on a good match or get stuck working with the boring ass Bella's.

I still find it funny when people consider NXT a "developmental" brand. If anything, they are the frontrunning show in terms of overall quality.

Currently, give me NXT over Raw and Smackdown any day.

Speaking of women's wrestling, I watched the GLOW documentary on Netflix the other day, and now I'm a little obsessed with finding the episodes to watch.

The doc wasn't bad. It fell into the standard documentary trap of trying to press emotional buttons once they started talking about Emily Dole (Mt. Fiji) but overall, it was interesting stuff. I think it definitely does a good job of showing how GLOW stands as a predecessor to the WWE Diva model, since it spearheaded the method of finding women who look good, and then trying to teach them to wrestle.

Cool video about Triple H career and the wrestling fascination.

Hilarious and awesome, and actually a really great thesis on the value of rasslin' as fiction.

That video is fucked up man, feel bad for Rey.
Apparently he's getting death threats from people in Mexico and they are also calling him a murderer. They need to chill the fuck out. It was purely accidental.

Holy shit, wtf was Konnan doing?! Where were the medical personnel?
My guess is that he thought it was part of the match, since he looked like a manager. I could be wrong though.

Making things much worse, poor guy.

Supposedly working on 2 other dudes that were injured earlier in the show. Dude was out for an uncomfortable amount of time before anything was done, not sure if it would have mattered but still.

Yeah, I read some more articles after posting and the doctor was elsewhere. Pretty clear Rey didn't even kick the guy and he was already gone. Still sad as hell and rough on Rey. Hard to imagine he has done that spot hundreds of times with no problems and then this.

Excited to see the Brock match. Dude is gonna be the babyface and Reigns is gonna get shit on by the crowd. Still surprised they went ahead with the match. Bushwackers HOF speech was pretty funny. Medusa was looking great, didn't look like what I remember her looking like but still, cool speech.

Really sad to see A.J. leave... she was one of my favorites. It feels like everyone I like ends up leaving really quickly

Just read that Daniel Bryan might be done for, really hope he is able to come back at some point. The last line from his upcoming book is pretty sad. "If you were to ask me today if all the reward was worth the sacrifices, I would say no."

Something wrong with the product when New Day and Bo Dallas are the most entertaining characters. Need to check out Bo's NXT run at some point, dude is great.

I kinda hope Bryan goes the Shawn Michaels route and just steps away for a few years, gets whatever surgeries he needs, rehabs, rests, and comes back at 100%. The "get the surgery that requires the least amount of recovery time and jump back in to the ring too soon" strategy clearly isn't helping him any.

And New Day are great. As faces they were boring and packaged in a way that was probably quite racist, but as heels they're amazing. It's like they've finally been told they're allowed to show some personality and charisma. I'm loving Neville on the main roster too. I thought for sure they'd lumber him with a silly gimmick or have him lose every week to "earn his spot", but they've done a pretty awesome job of making him feel like a big deal. The US title stuff has been really good too. Feels kinda weird for Cena to be a weekly highlight of RAW having been so stale for so long as a character, but they're making it work.
