Why do models sit there and debate with trolls?

I just saw a new model sitting there and debating with a troll for like an hour. He was just calling her names the whole time, taking up the whole room. No tips, no anything else. Troll heaven! Some poor souls tried to tell her to mute/ban/etc. and at one point a group show was offered but they were completely ignored. Why? This is definitely the most extreme case, but I've seen other similar cases.

I can only speak from my personal experience, but sometimes it's fun to troll them back for a couple minutes. If someone comes in my room and tries to insult me by calling me a whale, I give them immense amounts of shit for only being able to come up with the most unoriginal joke in the history of the world.

Fucking around with a troll can be kinda fun for a few minutes, but for an hour? For me, that's just too much personal attention to be giving some no-life dickwad.

I'm gonna take a guess here, but having watched a lengthy troll vs troll battle on Twitch led me to the conclusion that it's a "i've got too much pride to back down" situation. It becomes a battle of attrition at some point.

I just have no patience for trolls. I rarely even acknowledge them. Just silently ban and keeping on being awesome.

I feel ya op. Every once in a while a model can work off of them and use them to her advantage but most just end up looking dumb and doing exactly what the troll wants.

Some models get off on it; they like to play with the trolls for fun, like a cat playing with a mouse.

Other models thrive on the drama, and it's all just fun for them, like a soap opera.

And some want to "teach" the troll that he's wrong, hoping that he'll be more open-minded in the future.

I've turned around a loooot of trolls by a little debate. Somedays I'm just bored and they're just a little fun. It's nice to agree with them (sarcastic self-deprication) or kindly point out why they are wrong. I can't tell you how many trolls have tipped me saying that I have a good attitude or they were wrong about me after they've tried to tear me down.

Some trolls just want to see how quickly they can get banned and I won't give them that pleasure :]

I can't remember what it was about since it was so long ago, but someone in the YouTube comments section of a video had been giving me shit for one of my comments. We went back and forth for a while until, finally, he got tired of it and was like "Okay, okay, you win." :shock: First time I ever had that happen on YouTube. The people on there are usually not known to just drop it. Lol.

In my case I do it sometimes if my room is a bit slow and nothing else is really happening.

If I get a GREAT troll who is funny, then I keep them around for laughs.

If I get a boring troll then I sometimes troll them back but most often just ban.

Beggars and demand-ers are FAR more annoying than trolls in my opinion.

I'll mess around with a troll for a few minutes because I like being a snarky bitch to rude or stupid assholes. And usually bitching them out entices someone else to tip.
