As I sit and tip while watching cams I sometimes wonder why am tipping. I know there are cam girls here and viewers and I imagine this has been asked before but why do I and maybe 5 others out of 90 viewers feel the need to tip? Something wrong with me? Its in my psyche have to be the big spender? When I used to do go to the strip I'd only go if the wallet was bulging and I'd call my buddy from the club and I would say "the eagle has landed" and he knew that meant get over to the club as the wallet was going to get emptied.

It's quite simple really, model says she will only show me her ass for x amount of tokens, I would like to see ass, so I tip x. Open and shut case.
Bet your boss wonders the same thing when he sees you doing nothing on the clock.
Here's a few reasons why people tip cam models:
1. They want to show their appreciation towards a model they like and also make her smile.
2. There is something on a model's tip menu they would like to see her do, so they tip her instead of hoping someone else will eventually tip for it.
3. A model has videos they would like to watch, so they purchase it with tokens.
4. They want special attention from a model and the best way to do that is to be kind and tip and not be a freeloader.
5. They realize that this is a job for the model and want to pay her for her time and services.
6. Entertainment is a luxury, not a necessity. Tipping members understand this and like to pay for their entertainment.
7. They realize that if everyone had the "Why should I tip?" mentality, cam models would either stop performing or find other ways to provide themselves with income.

Listen if you have issues with freemium sites and not wanting the fund the whole show for all the freeloaders. Understandable. But to stop supporting your entertainment because others take advantage, is shitty.
Check out private based sites like streamate or imlive. Where if the person wants to watch the show, they have to tip or take them to private for a per minute rate.

In all honesty, when I first found cam sites, I was like a lot of the freeloaders who just didn't want to pay for nudity/porn because "why should I, I can use google and get shit for free".
At this very same time, I would see guys chatting in the public chat and I would constantly be thinking "wow, what sad losers they are... just stfu and masturbate already".
I wish I could say that this was when I was younger (my early 20s or something) but sadly it was not (late 20s). My mindset was like that, I think, just because I had grown up around the internet and accessing "free porn".
But the more I watched, the more I saw how entertaining and fun it was to both tip and partake in the chat with the models.
It was also the fact that I was able to see REAL women, you know, the kind you would see in the street. It wasn't staged porn with scripts (I know some rooms are "in the office" ones for example), but for the most part, it's just beautiful women.
Since then my mindset has changed completely, and I have learned so much not only about women as models, but also women in general (definitely not claiming to be an expert, even you ladies are no expert on yourself, how can we men be lol).. But it's been a truly fantastic (as weird as that is) experience overall and models/ladies have just helped me see/understand a lot.
Anyway, I started as a freeloader hating and not wanting to tip. I'll be honest, I get a a little annoyed at the freeloaders with an account just there watching. If I'm tipping, and no one else is, I will change my tipping habits to where I privately tip the model, yet it doesn't reduce the countdown. I'll still periodically tip visibly to the room. But, I hide the amount.
Sure, it doesn't go towards a goal or countdown. But, these are typically models that I've known for some time, and they know me and my general tipping habits. This way, the model still gets tips I had already intended to give while preventing the freeloaders from having a show. Most models are cool with this, as they know I'm showing appreciation for them. In the end it's just money. And I remind myself of all the great people that I met online over the years and hope to remain friends with them

If you’re dark purple (talking cb here), you’ve recently tipped SOME combination of models at least 1,000 total tokens (probably more). Don’t be a dick to this model just because you noticed her regular tipper has his wallet out.

Just a quick question i have seen a model who was on 4 seperate sites but her tip goals would be different on each site.i have tipped her say 20 to suck fingers but if her goal was reached for show feet during that 20 tokens she would do the goal instead of the tip,but also seen when someone else tip for something in the tip menu she would do nothing or even if her goal was met not do nothing or log offline. Thats her biggest trick is log offline no bye im going offline in main chat just logs out.

why do some models on multi sites have different tip options for each site,then either do not do the tip for which you tipped for but do there goal if reached. or just nothing at all and logs out.
Might not see tip requests or is ignoring it. Always ask them before you tip w/ request. If they don't do your request after agreeing, take it up with the site.
yes the multi site cam models - is what it is - and best option is go to her main site. If you see her at MFC with no topic etc u know she is at CB or somewhere so go looking =) But if I have tokens at MFC and even if you only one there she will pm if you dropping tokens =)

You're not dumb for supporting a form of entertainment that you enjoy. Just because others are finishing countdowns doesn't mean it's dumb for you to contribute too.

I look at mine from time to time, and I even did a post on it a while back (didn't talk amounts, just provided data in case it might help models have some insight). Do I regret it? No. Could I have done something different with it? Absolutely! But, I enjoy time with the models and visiting with some of the regulars who are in their rooms. It shows appreciation to the model for the time she's there, as well as things offline she may do as well. I don't spend what I used to, since I have slightly different goals. But, I still tip when I come visit them.
It's a personal view of myself and not an attack towards any broadcaster/s.
The dumb part for me is when I contribute 50% or more of the goal/s and the rest of the room can barely (or don't want to) come up with the rest.
Yes it is/was my choice to contribute what I do, but I'm allowed to be silently pissed off at times towards others.... aka. Freeloaders.
And if you really are truly shocked or offended that I feel dumb at times, then I apologize for mentioning it

IMO, it's all the same. If you're there enjoying, then tip her something. From a member's view, MFC only shows who's tipped in the room so long as they are still in the room. If they leave and come back, their name is no longer in the tipper's list. A member has no idea how much another member has, nor what they've tipped aside from what they've seen them tip publicly.
I just need to leave CB outright. It has not been enjoyable for me whatsoever for the last 5 months.
The numerous times I have been on MFC it has been great.
