I tried camming for literally a week and half about two years ago. At the time I was in college and I felt desperate for money and it seemed like easy income but I really didn’t feel comfortable doing it so it was super short lived. I made less than $200 and only received one payment from chaturbate. I’m not really worried about being recognized by appearance because my time as a cam girl was so short lived and I wasn’t popular, but I am worried that it will show up in a comprehensive background check. I working on getting a Master’s in environmental science and possibly a PhD after that. I had a lab technician job post cam life that required a background check and if it showed up anywhere it obvious wasn’t an issue, but I’m worried about higher ranking positions. Idk if anyone has a definitive answer but I’ve been feeling really anxious and mad at myself for this lately. If I couldn’t get a job in my chosen field because of camming I’d probably start my own business or something but it would really suck to go through all this school and then not get hired because of a week and a half of camming. Does anyone have any input?

No, it wouldn't, but nobody can guarantee whether or not you will be recognised by face or voice or other identifying stuff. Sorry that it might not be what you wanted to hear, but keep in mind that camming for less than 2 weeks sounds like you've got MUCH better odds than most at avoiding being recognised in a sea of camgirls.

I hope you can come to terms with not stressing over something you can't control. If you want to help your chances, don't have your personal pics out there online. Someone might not recognise you in college/work but a stranger across the world might and try to use that info against you.
I know I sound negative here but it's unfortunately the risk we all take in this job. I'm glad you realised so early on that you didn't like it, again, that makes your chances better imo.

No you don’t sound overly negative at all! I’ve come to terms with the fact that there might be pictures out there somewhere but I’m hopeful that it won’t be an issue since my future jobs shouldn’t involve seeing a ton of new people all the time. Of course that’s no guarantee and there’s always a chance it could happen but I was more concerned about the background check so thank you!

🤔 Well, camming isn't illegal (if you are in an approved country) and to be honest, I don't know how they would do a check on you regarding 'porn' ⁉️and it wouldn't be their business. It's like they are checking all your previous relationships, that is too intimate.

>:) There are many models online, as KMC said, and you must be really unlucky to be found out. In case you were, morals would dictate for them to let it go since it isn't anything illegal, but they would most likely refuse you IF it happened. :sweating:

I suggest you to search your name just to get reassured :nerd:. If you find anything, try to delete them but I don't know how to file DMCA. There is 99% of probability you will NOT be found out 👍. So, after reading this, please focus on your future work and feel in peace.

🍀Good luck for your future! 🙌

👽PS. You got less than 200$ in 10 days. I would get 5$ per week when I first started.
