When models charge exorbitant amounts for videos. I understand part of the thought process for high costing videos... that if someone pays a large amount, they're going to be less willing to post it on tube sites or torrent it out. But some models take it to extremes.
I know Skye_Evans has a BJ video out there and she charges a lot for it (I think 1500 or so tokens). And look, Skye's hot... but members spending $150+ on a single video is being a bit extreme. But, it works in the not having shared department from what I know.
I thought Skye's was probably the most expensive I would ever hear of... until this week. A model posted on her Twitter she was making a BJ video. And it was 6000 tokens. Yes, six-thousand. That's not even thinking within the same universe as the real world.
I don't care how hot a model is, or how hot she thinks she is, no single video is worth members spending at least $600 to get (remember, not everyone has the $600 package or even the $300 one). The only people who would even consider spending that much on a single video are people who either have way too much money on their hands to begin with or members who think they are totally in love with the model.
It's going to be maybe 20 minutes? Maybe? And that's worth someone spending $600 on? For $600 you can get access to 20 porn sites with hundreds of videos each, offering way more content than a single blowjob video.
If models don't want their boy/girl sex vids spread around the intartubez and want to charge prices that would theoretically help deter that, fine. But they should at least try to think in the realm of reality when thinking of the prices. 6k tokens for a single BJ video isn't even in the realm of ludicrous... it's way beyond that.
The best tactic a model can probably employ to limit exposure, other than not selling videos, is one SexySteph for example has done with some of her videos. Requiring a large tip to join a special fan group first, before people even get the opportunity to purchase some of the videos.
Cost will limit how many people will buy a video. Lowering the chances there could be someone among the purchasers who will share it. Won't stop someone who wants to share it, just because they paid more for it though. File sharing is done for profit a lot of places. Wish more people would get into the legal affiliate side of sharing porn meant to be shared. But there will inevitably be people who buy a camgirl's videos using porn pirating revenue, then share it to help recoup the cost.
Generally why I encourage models to do DMCA notices, even if they don't care if a video of theirs is out on the Internet. Killing off links will help slow the revenue of a porn pirate, and help limit how many other videos they purchase with it in the future.
