Hey :hello2:
brief introduction as this is my first post. I'm a 26yo American dude living in South America. I've been camming for almost a year now but haven't made much headroom there, it's much more difficult to earn decent money as a male model.
Having to pretend I'm gay is not really the best situation for me either... :? So, for a while I've had the idea of doing but never found a model (i.e. a stranger) that trusted me enough to do it. Camming and clips are a relatively obscure subject matter where I live, even though there are a few underground camming studios, the average woman is more conservative and suspicious towards this kind of thing.
I posted an ad online and received only three responses. After almost 9 months, one of the women who contacted me decided on it and we're set to film next week. I'll have about 120 minutes worth of material from the first filming session and if all goes well we would do another one in three weeks. I'm thinking I'll split 120 mins into 30 4-min videos in two or three different stores, selling the full 60 or 120 minute clips at a higher price. So my questions are...
Question #1: We are both using masks because we don't want to be recognized, would this affect our sales too bad? Could we open a mask fetish store?
I know most customers want to - at least - see the woman's eyes, and the mask she's wearing does reveal the eyes and bottom half of her face. We're doing POV-style videos, so my face won't be as important even though I will be wearing a mask.
Browsing through the categories I found just north of 2,000 videos in the mask fetish category.
A small side question is, how important is body shape in vids, and how does that work to one's advantage? To explain this a bit further, let me give you a short description of her. 32 years old, slim, 5'10 with measurements close to 40-27-45. She had a lot of surgery to get to those measurements, and I'm aware this also falls into several niches. My logic is that I'll choose categories that are more focused on body parts, even though she'll be partly showing her face.
Question #2: I've spoken to several friends and redditors and the general answer I get is "selling porn is a waste of time". Is this really true?
I've read posts and stories of people who upload a few clips every now and then and earn +$100 in a couple of days. Yet, I find other stories of people who just can't earn more than a couple of hundred bucks uploading several clips per week. From what I gather, we need to upload at least a 3 or 4 min clip per day or every two days if I want to earn more than $800 a month (minus the $45 international fee :angry4: why doesn't c4s accept payoneer?!)
sorry for the long post, I'll be making further (and shorter) appearances in the forum from now on :-D
