So... I was listening in on one of the users thats on my friends list whom is a photographer for the MFC owners here and he though I was just watching his cam but I was convinentally listening to see if he was saying anything bad about me with another model that was with him doing a photoshoot and I didnt hear anything too bad about me but the point of this topic is that I overheard that some of the administration gives some models tons of camscore points mostly he was talking about the pornstars that come here and thats how they get such high traffic. Do you think thats fair I mean dont they already have enough exposure as it is ??? Let me know what you think ???

xoxo Miss Heather

I don't really pay attention to cam score points. I'm a stat geek and unless they exposed their formula for me to understand I don't bother.

I would love to do some statistical work on MFC. You could figure out most profitable times, predict big spenders, etc.

Oooops let the geek in me come out.

Back to the point. For me it's more about the model and i've found no correlation between cam score and who i enjoy. One of my favorites has a relatively low score and is from a foreign country, but she probably makes up 65% of my token spend.

Hun, somewhere on here we had a big rant about the influx of porn stars and everything that they get to up the hype... don't remember if it's here or camgirls only, maybe both?

In this board & Models Only.

Can't really expect every new person to read through all the old posts.

But yeah MissHeather we've already touched on the subject elsewhere, so you should look for those threads :)

It's safe to say that most of us don't really think it's fair to have pornstars on an amateur site, let alone give them a leg up. Not fair at all.

I would also like to say: I have never seen a brand new porn star (first day on) with a bajillion camscore, but I could understand their second day in having a high one. They are known. They have sites, content already out there, & probably a couple hundred fans. They have the backing every amateur girl has to build up if she wants to have anyone in her room. And that if you're new to camming you should learn one things: don't trust the gossip of members. Along with a lot of other jobs in the sex industry, the people who pay to experience it don't always know more about what's going on than the people who do said job or help maintain the environment it takes places in.

but the rule breaking is rampant.

What I have an issue with is not that they break the rules, but that it appears the admin actually sanction it. Which encourages us to break them and get banned.

SO glad I was never one to even care what the "norm" is, let alone follow it.

If I were a model I'd be furious about what was going on @ MFC. I agree with you Luna as I believe that everyone should have the same rules no matter who you are if you're a porn star or not knowing there
is too much double-standarding going on. I hope they wise up & know
what's going on or they'll lose lots of business fast.

I have, one had a score over 30K on their 1st day. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to understand they do this solely to promote the site by having them top shelf on the model list. From a business perspective, it would not make much sense to have a famous, world renowned star mixed in with the rest of the new models.

I wouldn't be surprised if MFC used the pretext of prealloted camscore to lure certain porn stars to the site. I think that's unfortunate to all the hard-working cam models who have been playing the game by the rules for a long time, but on the other hand, if the presence of the porn stars gets people to MFC, and they start looking around and see the real value of a bright, intelligent model who is willing to put the time into making the fans happy and giving them a great experience, that might help the real cam model. It's a quandry, that's for sure. And as I've said before, just because you can have sex on camera where there is editing and you don't have to talk to anyone doesn't mean you have the skills to be a successful cam model.

AlexisTexas is on there now, I'm guessing this is her third day based off her profile edited day, and her score's almost 17k.

I wish I took a screen shot of this, but I am dumb and forgot..

This weekend I checked the top 20 to see who was on there and to see where Amber was of course, and I saw Alexis Texas on it around the late teens. I knew she was a porn star because she had a meet and greet and my favorite local toy shop a few months ago. I looked on her profile and nothing was commented or writen on it... It was wierd because usually when you start someone usually writes welcome, etc etc. I really wish I took a screen shot of it.
