Yeah, I always heard "Fuckin' A" being said under the person's breath right after something just went wrong, usually after a string of small things had just gone wrong.

like, bad thing happens, fix it, another bad thing, fix that, another bad thing... "Fucking A".
Where I am from, and of my generation, "Fuckin A" was just about the most common expletive, behind "Fuck" used when not in polite company, (I was never in polite company), and it was used in all range of ways, though mostly as a positive thing.
Fuckin A dude,
Fuckin A, mother fucker, share that shit.
Fuckin A skippy, that bitch was all up on my balls.
Fuckin A right she was.
Or sometimes as an expression of surprise
Fuckin A, did you see that shit?
Fuckin A, the cops are outside, hide the shit.
Or as in agreement,
Fuckin A!
Fuckin A, you know it
Fuckin A, I hear ya.
In anger, or frustration,
Fuckin A, fuck that!
Fuckin A, fuck that shit!
Fuckin A, this, is, Some Bull Shit!
Fuckin A, you think I wont? Fuckin A, watch me. I'll Fuckin A kick his ass. Chill dude, Fuckin A.
Or to console,
fuckin a, guess you should a plead out.
fuckin a holms, stay down, 36 months ain't that long.
fuckin a, I know that shit hurts bro
fuckin a dawg, you know I'll look after em.
And Me
Im Fuckin A tired, good night, I got shit to do today. Wont be around much for the next few days, but you will all see why soon enough, and I think you will all Fuckin A love it. :-D

Anything said in relation to sports.

There I said it, I'm not ashamed.
(Yes, I know the difference between a Druid, a cleric and a ranger but not between a fullback, a halfback and a quarterback)

"I'll beat the living shit out of you." I think at a biological level all shit is living, therefore it seems it might be more impressive to beat the dead shit out of someone?

"I'll kick your ass with a quickness." If one is angry enough with a person to want to kick their ass, they might want to take their time doing so, thus extending their pleasure, and prolonging the other persons misery.

Hmm, is there something bothering me today? I don't think so,

 Reminds me of something a weird relative used to say: "I'll kick your ass up between your shoulders so you'll have to take your shit off to shit!"
Either that's a typo or that saying makes even less sense than you'd think.

Did anyone say "I gotta piss like a racehorse" yet?

I just said something to the tune of that with all the hot tea I'm drinking tonight, and Jawbs goes "why do people say that anyway?". I said "oooh I gotta go post in that thread!"

Hah.

Upon researching it does actually have some truth/history to it, but it sounds funny, eh?

Since I posted it myself today...

"Am I crazy? Orrrrr...."

I've used that a lot myself. But it seems to me that insanity is usually not related in any way to the topic that immediately follows.

Am I crazy? Or are bananas fucking expensive these days??

They are expensive. There was a plague among the banana trees, so they're going to continue being expensive for a long while.

They are expensive. There was a plague among the banana trees, so they're going to continue being expensive for a long while.

The dirty secret of bananas is that they are dying off. It has happened before in the past, and a new type has had to be used to replace the one that was in grocery stores. I heard several years ago they did not have a replacement for the yellow bananas in stores right now, but with genetically modified food becoming more common that may have changed.

"you don't know Shit from shineola."
Shineola?
Shineola was a brand of shoe-polish sometime between The Crucifixion and "back in the day".
The phrase means that someone has trouble distinguishing between excrement and something that is actually useful, but could pass for excrement when applied thusly.

EDIT: I suppose I should make sure I'm on the *last* page of a thread before I post, eh?

I don't know if these have been posted yet, but haven't seen em.

The dogs bollocks. How did dog balls get to be a good thing?

Knock down ginger. (I understand to be the equivalent of door bell ditch, or knock knock run.), but you Brits seem to have this ongoing dislike for gingers. Was door bell ditch turned into a points scoring affair, and extra points awarded for gingers? and thus the name? Or, are you suppose to stalk your vic first and only proceed if it's determined they have red hair?

Well if the baby screams all night you didnt put enough cough syrup in the bottle.

As for the cake thing, once you eat it you still have it, until the bowel fairies turn it into a shit then well... not you dont have it. So for a short time you can have the cake, and eat it too.

I suppose if you have a septic tank, the cake technically never really goes anywhere and again, you will possess said cake in a slightly altered form somewhere close by for a very long time.

That saying is shorter and quicker than saying "You cannot possess in hand a cupcake, and enjoy eating it and still possess in hand an intact cupcake. Once the cupcake has been consumed, you are sans cupcake"

Even so it's a stupid expression that makes me wanna rip someone spine out through their mouth and smack them with it.

There that's a great expression.

:D I don't think "have your cake and eat it too" is stupid at all. It's generally used to describe people who want to utilize something but retain the intact benefits of it. Foolish are those people's fantasy, yes...but we've probably all done it. "sure wish that pizza was still on the counter." It's also used for all kinds of concepts, not always material. Like maybe being able to insult someone without permanently losing them as a friend.

It still doesn't make sense to me, but then I grew up where "we're having pizza" meant the exact same thing as "we're going to eat pizza". So, when you "have" your cake, it means you're going to eat it... thus, having food and eating food are almost the same thing to me.

Though, you can have food without having the intention to eat it... hence the almost. Have can always take the place of eat, but eat cannot always take the place of have. If that makes sense?

Agree, but more often "have" means possession of, and presence of "eat" and "have" in the same sentence makes it somewhat clear that they don't mean have=eat. All about context. :)

HANDS DOWN

As in.. That was the best pumpkin pie I've ever had in my life HANDS DOWN

She is the hottest girl on MFC hands down

wtf? Everybody says it.

Does putting your hands down carry some sort of significance relative to good things? Is that why police always want you to put your hands up? Because you've done something bad?

This is the best post on this board hands down!
