Chaturbate is excited to announce the debut episode of "Cam_Girlfriend," starring Chaturbate broadcaster Lily LeBeau, is now streaming on the Camming Life channel on YouTube:

“Cam_Girlfriend” follows rising cam model Chloe Cables (Lily LaBeau) as she balances her relationship with her boyfriend, Mike (Dave Keystone) with her relationship to her work and fans. Together, they soon learn that camming is a job you can’t help but take home.

The series will run 10 episodes and made possible by Canada's Independent Production Fund (IPF). It was created by Ethan Cole, written by Cole and Michael Goldlist and directed by Daniel AM Rosenberg. The producers are Goldlist, Rosenberg and Kennedy.

"We felt camming was a fascinating world rich with comedic material for us to explore. It's a place where so much more than just sex happens' friendships are formed, art is expressed, and hilarity occurs daily," said the executive producers in a joint statement. "In an increasingly digital world, we realized there was no better way to look at digital relationships than through the lens of a cam model."

The first episode of "Cam_Girlfriend," which debuted today, is titled "The Registry." Chloe and Mike cover-up their tracks after they devise a scheme to use Chloe’s camming registry to start paying for their friends’ wedding presents. The situation comes to a brew after an expensive espresso machine is purchased.

Meh... I feel like it wasn't really hilarious. And yeah, always take off/sharpie out shipping labels prior to unboxing!! Mike was a douche.

That was a major detail I noticed immediately that let me know it was not an actual cam girl who created this web series. A real cam girl would know better.

Overall I am disappointed that this portrays cam girls in the typical "they're always scamming/lying/taking advantage of their customers" light. @punker barbie did you happen to actually watch the video and realize how this comes across?

It's fun seeing more mainstream stuff centered around camming, but 9 times out of 10 they end up portraying some kind of negative stereotype about us, which isn't great.

Lots of tv and movies are often completely inaccurate.
  • Guns that shoot more bullets than they can hold.
  • Airbags that don't go off.
  • Jumping though glass windows without getting injured.
  • Medieval knight armor that doesn't protect the face.
  • Two people typing into a computer at the same time using one keyboard.
  • Instant DNA matches
  • Super accurate photo enhancement
  • Sound in space
But some times shows hire consultants to try and spot check for glaring inconsistencies.

So this feels like it is a 10-minute Charturbate commercial that does a very poor job to promote camming as a good source of entertainment for the viewers. At best it works as a recruitment ad for models who would like to scam people to get stuff. I don't know how someone at Chaturbate could think that attaching the company name to this project would be a good idea. There are so many great stories that could be told about camming that would be fun without making fun of it as a profession. The only people who are going to appreciate the humor in this is a small group of models and members, but it is going to turn the general public away from cam sites. In the past have seen models complain that the rest of the adult industry doesn't take camming seriously and after having seen this I can only ask why should they when Chaturbate which is one of the biggest cam sites doesn't seem to do it?
