If you knew a model who was starting CB, but didn't know anything about the site at all. What's the first, basic advice you'd give them? Other than to turn off grays (which is probably the only thing this model knows so far).

Anything about the interface is especially helpful, since this model has information processing issues, and gets overwhelmed easily.
(Don't worry though, she does at least know the basic stuff like don't have unverified people on stream, don't do ageplay, don't give out personal details, or anything else that's super weird.)

I would tell her to start off with MCF which comes off less testosterone heavy I.e as a low stress/pressure.
Transition over to CB when she has all her ducks in a row.

I appreciate the input. It's kind of a joke because it's me. I'm already on an MFC. I've been a cam model for 10 years. I got plenty of testosterone myself, I can handle it. I've already been awake for hours bitching men out this morning, that I barely know. I'm totally ready for CB. Women actually produce testosterone too, just not as much as men.

I think the quote feature might be messing with you. I'm a bit lost what you are meaning. This forum takes a bit of getting used to. The quote feature used to trip me up forever too.

Especially if I was trying to do a multi quote. It's really fun here though, once you get the hang of it. You can do all this cool stuff with colors and Hex numbers too. I'm not sure if that is what html is, but whatever it's called, it's really fun.

You can add extra colors too, but you have to Google the hex # for them. So if you want a specific shade of a color that isn't shown automatically, you can still use it.

There was another member who seemed pleasant enough. Tipped about 3 tokens a night though ha ha. Still, I got talking to him and he was pleasant enough. Found out he moderates about 10 rooms and from what I gather, pulls the 3 token trick in all of them. The model had very low traffic and looking back now I can see that he was looking to add her to "his girls" (as he called them) and weedle his way into being her moderator. I'm not really sure what he gets from it to be honest. It seems he "works" the whole of these models 6 hour shifts as well as his day job. Nuts.

It's always been a thing in all sites that new models get exploited by controlling members trying to take over their rooms. I presume the end game with these tools is to try to get her number or whatever and hook up with her in real life but I don't f****** know. They're everywhere. There are a ton of tools that hang around these sites trying to convince cam models that they are valuable and needed, as far as running the room goes. When really all they want to do is exert their control and have them all to do all the things that they like sexually for free.

It’s about control, but also about feeling like they have power and like they are more important than they really are.

I’d bet my left titty that these guys (at least a fair majority of them) work low level/low paid jobs where they’re not in control and have to report in to a boss daily. Which is also why they’re hardly ever big tippers. Moderating for multiple models they hardly know in their off time gives them that feeling of importance and power they lack in other aspects of their life.

I’d also bet that a good bit of them don’t have very successful dating/love lives, which has given them a complex when it comes to women and a need to be controlling, but also seek validation from women. The validation in this case being granted the “powers” mods have.

Definitely not saying this is the case with all mods. I’ve given regulars on MFC room helper status before when I would do public shows that required both hands. Biggest difference between my regs and those guys was that none of my regulars ever asked for that privilege and often, I think they probably would have preferred not to have to mute people, haha.

Knowing what little I know about the guy, you've described him pretty well.

I mod in precisely one room. I really just have the privilege as a thank you for being with her for such a long time. I'm never really sure what to do with it. I don't mind muting the rude greys but there are so many borderline cases where I don't feel it's my place to mute them.

The guy I'm talking about is one of those awful moderators who thanks members for every tip. That would put me right off my stroke.

I'd suggest using the 'Ignore' function for anyone like that, get back to focusing on what (who) you're in the room for.

The problem isn't that these guys mainly get out of control.
It's not a bar.
It's that they do nothing.
They sit staring, not making a peep, fapping, over-analyzing, and not paying.
Idk what I would do if I wasn't able to call them out and put them on the spot for it. It's fun

The worst thing a moderator can do in my view is start talking on the model's behalf. That and nagging people to tip, thanking them for tipping or just generally getting involved in the chat beyond polite chit chat with other members (if they know them well). I've never got involved in quoting prices at people. Her business and her place of work, not mine.

I did see in another thread that chaturbate can ban models for not adequately pushing back when members suggest illegal or banworthy things. I've never had to yet but I would have no hesitation in clearing someone and their messages out of the chat if she was busy performing and didn't notice it.

To me, that's probably the most useful aspect of a moderator. Throwing my weight around doesn't appeal to me at all.
