Been modding a cam girl for about a month. Her room used to be very busy and active , and she was always trying to promote to new viewers, just in her performance and she would interact with friendly viewers in the chat. The room felt much more alive and she seemed happier.

She works from home now and her room was doing really well for a while , she had some very engaged freindly viewers who saw her as an instant hit and tipped 1000s of tokens, at this time i was just a viewer and im friendly enough myself so its coincidental i also interacted with those viewers back and forth both tipping and she was in her element , she is a nice person and when things are going well its nice to see her genuinely smile.

Its funny that both me and the other guy both mod for her now . Ive watched her shows for about 9 months now been fan club member at the beginning watched when she worked for an agency and now when shes independant.

She had a good month of january. Very active rooms.

This month although she is still clearing a decent amount of tokens over a few platforms . Her room is just alot quieter.

I dont know wether its because she has mods now or wether she doesnt promote herself the way she usually does because mods are in the room.

Its really difficult to tell wether im being helpful or not although its probably less stessful having me in the room , she doesnt promote herself as much i dont know i could be wrong, she has been going offline after a few hours more and more but usually sticks around her usual broadcast schedule when i am modding. Sometimes ill check out offline if im out to see how things are going. And the other mods have usually left the room

So i stick around a bit longer and she always finishes her normal broadcast

I dont know im just trying to think of ways to help or to help try and cheer her up. But at the same time i wonder is it me is it my presence that is changing the room or her output.

Im sure im probably overthinking it but somedays i intentionally dont log on to see if shes had a better day but everytime shes logged off after a few hours.

I like to see her when shes enjoying her work and not feeling deflated.

I wonder over the longterm is it better to have a mod or not. The chat in the room is not what it used to be infact there is much less chat now in the room tips are probably relatively the same .

But with a mod in the room she mostly sits on her phone and sticks it out until the end of the show or until there are more tippers shes a bit more relaxed but without a mod she seems to work harder . And maybe thats more benefical i dont know

But atm its been very quiet more than usual.

So maybe things will pickup im fairly certain they will her room has always been fairly busy but atm i cant tell under the circumstances if modding is helping or hurting or wether its just a quieter few weeks .

you can help by tipping as often as you can.

In addition to trying to tip more, maybe ask her to remove your moderator status (and that of her other mods).

If the presence of moderators is truly a deterrent to other tippers, that should help. And if her room remains slow, well… then she still probably has no use for a moderator anyway.

Here's my take as someone who mods for two models.
Be invisible. The only real thing to do is silencing/muting users for stuff said or done in chat, reporting as necessary, ONLY if the model is not paying attention to chat and may miss things OR if something so egregious in chat (incest, animals, etc) is said and I boot that person before she can react and do the same. For that I always get a "you're faster than me today, thanks" PM from the model.
These two models I tip but I do it thru the DM/PM function so it's never seen in chat.
Mods visibility and little "prompts" to check tip menu, goal countdown, announcements to follow the model, etc. can totally tank a model's shift.
Be a ninja, be invisible and just handle the urgent shit when needed

Sorry for the dbl post but just missed the edit window...
ETA: I tip privately because, as a user, if I go into a room and the mod(s) are tipping the most, It's usually a signal that the model made them a mod because they felt that user was a "whale" and that will encourage them to stick around. Those mods are on such power trips, so much that the model ends up with only the mods in their room as the regular users have found a friendlier room. Just bad dynamics all around.

Not that I'm aware of, but you can do that as an anonymous tipper. If I want something in the menu, I'll pm about it and tip privately. (Again, this is only when I'm a mod)

I've just said the exact same thing in another thread and probably only two weeks since I last said it in yet another thread. Sit there and be supportive. Do the shit that she can't get to quickly enough. Fucking gif spamming nonsense gets on my tits.

And tip. Fucking tip. I've got speaking to guys who moderate for multiple models (I once met a guy who mods for 10!!!) and probably doesn't spend more than 30 tokens a night across all ten of them. One of those serial bores who always targets models with low traffic with "advice" about how to do things better just so that they can then become a moderator and have a little power. It's weird and predatory in my opinion.

If you want to show people how to tip then actually tip instead of posting a gif that says "tip".

As for the OP's initial question. You're probably overthinking it. She could be struggling for any number of reasons, none of which are your business unless she tells you. How to cheer someone up doesn't change just because they are a cam model. Cheer her up the same way you'd cheer anyone up. Just be a good dude to have around. Say something funny from time to time.

You're not Shakespeare, get to the point.

It's February, a slow time for everyone and yes mods hurt the room.
How dare art thou

Have you met many shakespeares in your travels

Anyway rudeness aside . February is a slow month. Noted thanks amber cutie try not to despise ypur viewers too much eh 🤣

If you knew how human interactions worked then you wouldn't have posted a fucking novel here asking for advice on how to interact with a human.

Maybe she's busy with privates or private tips and conserving her energy in the free chat. You'd have no way to know, and it's not really your job and likely not possible for you to make a major change in her mood. Being nice, telling a joke, and tipping as often as you can would help.

And heavens I hope you are not this wordy in her room or that could be contributing to a bad mood.

i'm a bit confused. you asked for advice on how to cheer up a model, members gave you their perspectives on how they help the the models they mod for. models too. what's with the defensive attitude?

hey, i get it may hurt your feelings to be told maybe it's your presence that might be one of the factors that affecting the model's room. but its real niceguy™️ energy to get defensive at someone telling you to be a good dude.

If I was a model (and please thank whatever God you worship - atheism also valid - that I'm not, because nobody needs to see that), I reckon that dealing with the assholes would be fairly easy. Hit the ban button. I'd imagine it would be the serial nice guys and constant complementors that I would eventually want to butcher with a blunt screwdriver.

OP ; grow up. You sound like a juvenile. These are adult sites.

that's why i only accept compliments that come with tips until then it's "i know" or "i don't believe you" c:

lol I like to go rogue and respond with "that is correct".

those of you have to understand (who aren't models) the number of guys who come to these sites trying to prove something about their male ego, is unreal. We are all gorgeous, and we all already know it, that;'s why we took the step to become cam models. We believe that about ourselves, we aren't looking for outer validation on that, we're looking for money. We are commission employees, 100%. Not hourly or salary. Every time money goes into our banks, from these sites, we realize that men think we are hot.

Every shift, even on quiet nights, a double-digit number of men have already been in, dropped compliment after compliment, hoping to get something for free. Each one thinks he's the very first "genius" to ever conceive of the plan, I'm sure.

Lots of hot guys come to these sites, and lots of not-hot guys come to these sites.
Noone gets special or preferential treatment, besides the man who has the basic respect, of the context, to put his money where his mouth is.

ETA; And to put it bluntly, men who can't or won't respect the context, shouldn't fucking be there, wasting everyone else's time.

Can you explain more on this?
A little bit about my experience.. I have a mod for my room , she is a female early 30s... She genuinely holds the room together. I am so active in what I am doing and usually AFK and cant let new viewers what's going on etc. She also helps me promote or ban people that are disrespectful. She never "talks sexy" , tips or whatever but she's always engaging with me to keep me talking ( I am usually a quiet one especially in a dead room.) So by this aspect I feel like she could possibly be effecting my room, but I guess my question still stands on how a mod can hurt a room? & is my mod effecting mine?

Ultimately it's your decision to make based on your stats. If you think she may be driving people away, demote her and see what happens. If you like the way things are going then don't rock the boat.

Mods are kind of like hall monitors. Nobody really likes them and thinks they are suck ups, especially when they don't tip. All mods should tip. All.of.them.

It never hurts to try things a different way.

Maybe quit being a moderator because I’ve had SEVERAL high status Members tell me that they will not tip if room has moderators because other men are annoyed by them. If you’re going to continue being a moderator, you need to also be one of her best tippers in trade. Because you are ultimately hurting her traffic and effecting her from maximizing her profit just by being there.

The story's probably a little different if the room is empty and I don't know your exact situation, but if your mod looks like they're completely dominating the room, as a viewer I'm going to think you're getting everything you need out of that interaction and not want to waste my time and money.

If your goal is to make money, I feel like if they're commanding your attention and not giving anything in return they're just taking advantage of you.

Its all good she banned me anyway
