I'm just touching base on the reality of the cam sites. No need to take it personal. I'm just saying absolutely anyone can work on a cam site so yes my topic is geared more toward someone that wants to become an independent cam model successfully without being on a cam site. The pros and cons of being independent by far out weight being on a cam site. Doing all the same exact stuff and more without all the cons of working for a cam site. It all comes down to marketing. It's a racket and for many that is their only option and way is to sign on to a cam site to make some money. I'm an advocate for quality control (which most the cam sites don't have)and for models and members to get the most out of the camming experience and reach their true potential online

You obviously don't know how to go the independent route. I've done very well with PayPal and Cash App etc. Literally have had loyal fans for years some even send thousands directly through these apps and it comes right to me. All using Skype mostly and also zoom and even Facebook. Go to the male model side of streammate 90% of the guys look like second rate models with the exception of maybe one or two. And it's dominated by foreign countries that do it all for cheaper. If your niche is being top notch then the entire appeal of anyone being allowed to work on there is a foolish decision to join the mix. I could get very detailed about it as far as the numbers and sales go and how much you lose when being on a cam site. No need to trip it just it what it is

No no no, I don't want to invest the time and resources into making myself an independent, would rather utilize all of the traffic and cc processing resources of a HUGE cam site to make my money.

I've been at this since 2009, if I wanted to go independent I would have. Utilizing MFC's resources is a WAY better use of my time and money. And especially so since I've endeavored into Onlyfans.

Just read the last few posts with the popular TikTok song of "oh no, oh no, oh no no no no no" playing in my head. There's a fantastically huge reason maaaany if not 99.9% of big models don't go the fully independent route. We already spend so much time creating content, posting, camming etc that we absolutely don't want to add more admin crap and concerns on top of it. It's not worth the time suck, advertising costs, charge backs.. fuck it. Hit post or broadcast and go. Already make 6 or 7 figures a year that way.

Sometimes cam sites hire studios to populate their site. In those cases, I do wonder if studios can be getting kick backs , or other forms of compensation, that would motivate them to keep token rates low.

Or if they're just trying to motivate the models to stay public, and avoid privates.

Glad you mentioned phone sex. Models can make good money doing this and/or combining phone sex work. The phone feature on SM from private shows made and still makes me a lot of money in the few times my webcam mic wasn't working, and I hope it makes other models money as well. Regarding the cam world you're basically doing what Janine Lindemulder did after her porn career ended. Like her, you're now saying the industry, in this case the cam world, is bad because you're not working on the cam sites anymore. Webcam models, and/or any/all employees are either successful or not. Last but not least, I also agree with you on "how to market themselves without using a third party platform." You can go that route and/or combine the 3rd party route and also go solo like I have. Just one or a couple of YouTube marketing 101 vids should do the trick.

Depending on the studio. Could be 1 or both reasons. Depends on which studio/s you're referring to. Nice photo BTW.

Also @Dannyhomebody not sure if you're aware but there's a signature thing here on ACF. I notice on a lot of your posts you put the "stay safe" thing, and the "disregard if not helpful'. You could chuck that respectful part in there too... then you wouldn't have to constantly be retyping it. Just an idea. Wasn't sure if you knew you could do that. It's on settings, I have a rainbow thing about farting, but you could have yours be whatever you want.
