Where and how to enable accepting pm only from friends?

Hi!

A model friend of mine, SweetyKimber, has a problem with configuring the MFC camming software. She is relatively new to MFC, but doing quiet well, so she decided to only accept private messages from members on her friends list and changed her settings accordingly.
So, now, what is happening, is that, while I can still send her pm's, members who she added newly receive the "...currently only accepting private messages from her friends...", although she added them to her friends list. GRRRRR!

Does any of you ever experienced the same problem?
Any solution to that?
How and where exactly in the MFC model client does she have to configure these settings?

Please either post your solution here, or send her an MFC mail with step-by-step instruction how to go about configuring these settings correctly

I know that sometimes it takes a while for the new settings to kick in. Give it a day and see if it fixes itself.

OK, lets see if it works tomorrow, but I am skeptical, because she changed the settings already the day b4.

Not saying anything against your model friend, but perhaps she is adding members to her profile instead of the broadcaster? There are two separate friends lists, and being on one does not allow PMs to go through.

I told her that there are 2 separate lists. The problem is that I can't tell her step-by-step where and how to configure the settings in the models software, because I never saw the models software.
I only can tell her where and how members configure it.
Thats why it would be best, that any of you models post something like:
---> Personal Options ---> Privacy Options ---> check "Only allow my friends to message me"

What really bugs me, is the fact, that the problem appears to surface with members she added after changing the settings. I still can pm her like b4, but newly added members not???

There are 2 separate friends list: 1 for the broadcaster, 1 for the profiles.

Which of the following statements are true?

• A member is only on the profiles friends list ---> his pm does not get through

• A member is only on the broadcasters friend list ---> his pm gets through

• A member is not on any of both fiends list ---> his pm does not get through

• A member is on both friends list ---> his pm gets through

I assume all are true?

All of those statements are true.

If your model has her PMs set as "only accept PMs from friends" and it isn't working, there is a glitch with the system.

If she does not know how to set it, she only has to click "Options" and it will be the first thing she sees. (If she uses the software to broadcast, she needs to click on "Manage Friends" and the option will be there).
