I tend to get irritated when I see what I tend to think of as "cheap streetwalker makeup." Too much blue eyeshadow, too much blush, too much pink lipstick. All in colors that just do now work on the model's complexion. It looks, to me at least, like you should be on a street corner selling yourself for $10. And it doesn't look good. It IS possible to wear a bit of blue eyeshadow in a flattering shade, just a hint of blush, and a pink lipstick in a good shade for your coloring, and look pretty damn good, as long as there is no excess of any of these products.
This is going to make me sound awful, but I find the opposite really annoying as well. When I see a model on MFC acting like she just gives no fucks- no makeup, messy ponytail, staring at her phone, etc all I can think is "whyyyy would you treat your job like this?!". Even worse if then they get upset that no one is tipping them. The natural/girl at home look CAN be done well, but it only works if the model is interesting and pretty to begin with.
I would agree with you on that. If you're trying to make money camming, you need to look like you care about yourself. Wearing too much makeup, to me at least, looks like you're selling yourself short and think you need to have your face caked in stuff to look good. No makeup at all, on most of us, looks like we just don't give a fuck and don't want to be there. If a girl actually doesn't need any makeup at all, awesome for her! However, a bit of makeup is needed to balance out either poor light or good light, essentially "stage makeup", only not so drastic because you're in front of a cam and not on a stage, so your audience isn't very far away.
