Only problem is, what about those who have people pay for Snapchat? I offer it through my club only. I'm trying to direct people to my Tumblr. I've already for ages had my Tumblr link everywhere (my top pinned tweet, on my cam profile, in my signature here), so I'm hoping they'll remember it if/when that happens. Plus, I'd personally rather have something for free be more of an online social site, and not just one-on-one stuff. That way I'd feel like I could reach more people, and like no one was getting weird special treatment. Not saying it's a bad idea to get more people in your room who already know you (especially for the short term), but as far as I know there isn't really a way to advertise yourself through Snapchat other than through people who already know you exist.

From what i understand of this purging... it's a matter of ridding explicit imagery off twitter using imagery detection software. So for cam models who tweet explicit pics of themselves would hafta re-adjust by halting all snapshots of their private parts, naked bodies, or hardcore pics. You may or may not be able to get away with pics of youselves in sexy clothing as long as your privates are covered, not too sure. I don't think twitter would disassociate themselves with all adult industry related stuff altogether, such as linking your MFC, CB, or SM rooms in your twitter profile. (although i could be wrong)

Not saying you can't be successful while using Twitter that way, but think about all the models who have 1000's of tweets to go through, and delete because they showed a nipple/sexy clothing. This is especially frustrating for those of us, who aren't sure if we might have ours deleted even though we marked sensitive media. There have been hints stating those with that selected won't be deleted, but far as I know Twitter hasn't said it. Also, I'm assuming private accounts won't be effected, but I don't know about that either. Also, if we can't have anything with links or specific wording (again 1000's of tweets for some), then really what's the point? I mean, yes, it can be used for non-x-rated social stuff. My twitter often has way more G/PG rated stuff that I just randomly post because I enjoy it...but if you can't post job related stuff then it kinda feels like a waste of time for growing a business (when you're hoping that fan base who liked your random tweets about legos will also buy your porn), and everyone may as well go with a place they can actually enjoy without worried about being deleted for saying something like "On cam now!"

I know snapchat isn't ideal lol but the people who follow you cant message you anyways unless you follow them back. All they can see is my story, but not message me so my snapchat doesn't overflow with pictures of dicks or anything.

Again it's not everyone's thing lol but always an option. It's worked well for me but I know it won't fit everyone's camming style.

I can certainly see how it would be a time suck, but I hope most girls don't follow your lead. Clearly twitter has value for advertising purposes and yes getting thousand or tens of thousand of followers will be really difficult if you can't post naked pictures. I am constantly amazed at the number of camgirls who have more followers than B list celebrity and many billion dollar business.

Even without the naked picture I find twitter super valuable as member. For two reason first and foremost I find it valuable to keep track of when camgirls will be on cam. Now I suppose if you've got regular hours than that isn't so important, but my experience is very few camgirls have a particularly reliable schedule. Tumblr is fine for what is design for but not for quick updates. "I'll be on cam in an hour, my landlord is being an asshole.", so only check once a week or so.

The irony for me with twitter is a made account with them long before it was a household word, but I never really understood why twitter was good until I after I started using it to follow camgirls. Now I actually use my personal twitter account a lot mre than before (although not nearly as much as my HiGirls account) and I've gone from Twitter skeptic to supporter.

You're right, I suppose I'd still use a Twitter account to keep in touch with my regulars, at least. But if we aren't able to link to "porn" sites (which I'm sure they'd consider MFC to be, even if MFC does not consider itself to be ) I would no longer be able to make it as easy as it is now to just click my tweet and be in my room in mere seconds. This guy wanted to get talked about. Twitter's CEO didn't mention any changes or plans to change the company's ToS. For folks who keep their content flagged and don't get too carried away, I doubt that there is much to worry about in the short to medium term. Other than this analyst's speculation, there's been no hint of a mass takedown of the feeds of adult performers. With that said, I wouldn't recommend Twitter or any other social site as long-term storage for media that's important to you.

Twitter's single current claim to fame among the big social sites is how liberal they are, and how protective they are of freedom of expression, not how many chocolate bars they sell. Grandma's on FB, maybe. Grandma's definitely not on Twitter. They do watch the bottom line, but with social media, your reputation is just as important. Dumping adult won't drastically improve Twitter's bottom line, and will make people far less trusting of the site generally. Bullying's a far bigger public relations problem for Twitter than adult, right now.
