:twocents-02cents: I know that vlad guy has said a lot of things that have annoyed/frustrated/offended people here..but for some reason I get the feeling that he just doesn't get it...you know? Like he really does think in his mind that it would be perfectly alright for members to meet models that they really like. It makes me want to explain to him, like I would to a child, exactly why that's the most horrible idea I have heard in a long time.
so if Vlad is lurking and sees this post.. for his benefit...
1) models do not want to meet members.. no matter how big of fans they are...sure there are exceptions where individual models might meet a trusted regular..but it is rare. Most models have no intention of ever meeting any member from camsites. Working as a webcam model is interacting through the internet. The job description does not include meeting people in real life.. if it did, I know a lot of girls who wouldn't want to work then.
2) How do you know if someone means harm or not? Are you telepathic? The sweetest most "baller" guy can have malicious intent that he hides really well behind a smile and nice words.
3) Even if the member has only the best intentions, it doesn't matter. It is stalking. I (and many other models) have personal lives and families and do not want anybody else in our lives. I don't care if its the hottest, sweetest most generous guy on the planet..I want my privacy and I want my personal life undisturbed.
4) I don't know how to stress enough that webcam models are for webcam interaction only. To attempt or encourage otherwise is wrong. You are putting not only the model at risk but also her family including any young children the model may have. Celebrities have bodyguards and security and live in places with cameras allover the place etc. Cam girls do not have that kind of safety net.
So yeah, sorry to post off-topic but like I said, I feel that vlad really is clueless as to why what he said was very, very wrong. He truly does not see why he got banned. He just doesn't get it and maybe I'm too optimistic but perhaps there's a chance that he'll read this and a light bulb will come on in his head.
Okay...back to Members and the WTF things they say!!! :handgestures-salute:

I think the problem is he just doesn't get life.... he seems very ignorant to how a "real person" would react and his examples are

I do, however, disagree with point 1. Models do meet members, we are not all monsters, there are so many examples i have seen on this site where models and members have met and got on, I think you have to get a feel for a person but there is no hard and fast rule!

It's not that it doesn't or shouldn't happen. It's just that it's rare (I would imagine). And when it does happen, I'm willing to bet that it happens in a public place, during the day, with the model bringing along a friend/a model's friend staying close by, for protection. And also, before any meet-up happens, the member would obviously have to be trusted.

What vlad is encouraging, is pretty much the opposite of that. He's not looking to prove to a model he can be trusted and then arrange to meet them in a place they know they will be safe. He's looking to stalk them via the internet, essentially ambush them when they least expect it, and pretend it's a chance meeting. There's no trust there, the model isn't complicit in any of it, and there's no guarantee of the model's safety. I'm not saying vlad would actually do anything once the model has told him to fuck off, but the model has no way of knowing that, thus putting them in a pretty scary situation.

Yeh man, I completely agree with that, I just got the gist from the initial post that we were all subversive perverts and no model ever wanted to meet a member, which I know i just not true!

Yup, that's what I meant to say..I did say there are exceptions right after the first few words but I probably should have elaborated a bit more :)
edited to add: Oh I absolutely do not think all members are monsters lol.. I didn't realize it came off like that..but I do think that because the internet is so anonymous there needs to be quite a bit of trust built up...so the models that do meet members are going to only meet the ones they have trust built up with etc. As a whole, models do not just want to meet any adoring fan from their room.

That Vlad dude is just a kid. I would guess he is in his early 20s at best judging by the posts I have read. Very naive and he just doesn't get it, period!

And Vlad (since I know you are reading this) the odds of a cam girl having any desire to date a young boob like yourself are very slim. You are not a "baller" (still laughing at that one) and most of us "old guys" are not stupid enough to go looking for girls to date on MFC. If I want a date I would stick to the local girls. This isn't Europe where I can drive through 4 countries in a matter of hours so I sure have no desire to try and date a girl who is 1500 miles away. That is just plain stupid on so many levels.

So quit acting like a child if you don't want to be treated like one. Otherwise be prepared for more "time outs" on here and at MFC.
;)

Even "kids" know that if someone wants to meet you, you don't need a website to tell you where they are.

It looks like he was just in Rose's room running his mouth about how to locate models, and telling people the names of sites where you can find capped videos.

For vlad (who im sure is reading's) sake.

If a model wishes to meet a member, she will make the first move.

She will either advertise that she is meeting members in some form (conventions, date raffles etc, "i'll be at x bar saying hello to fans this night")

OR if she will approach that member herself. Online.

I know this because I did it. I dated, lived with and am with a guy who met me through mfc.

IF he had done any of those things vlad suggested - if he had followed me, gathered information in stealthily on me or anything else, I would have been out the door so fast. Instead he earned my trust. I gave him information when I FELT SAFE and he did not abuse that trust. I was the one that said "lets meet".

Exactly.

And FFS the idea of creating a "Model Spotting" site is extremely inconsiderate and dangerous to models. There is NO need to help creepy stalkers like yourself find us. You could potentially be putting a shit ton of girls in danger.

I think what needs to be emphasized is that vlad doesn't even believe that models want to meet members.
It's not like he's actually thinking, 'Surely models want to meet cool, non-creepy MFC members in real life! I'll make a website to make that happen!' No, he doesn't give a flying fuck about how models feel about the thought of running into members. If I recall correctly he never said anything that gives us the impression that he believes models don't mind being found by 'ballers'.
That's what makes him all the more creepy. It's not like he doesn't know any better - he knows, but just doesn't care.

Which seems to be a classic example of a sociopath.

Today after adding a member who wanted a show on Skype:
[14:05:41] joniebalt: what will you do in a show? what are your limits?
[14:06:20] Eve Phoenix: It depends on what you want. I prefer you tell me your wishes and we discuss them.
[14:07:02] joniebalt: do you do anal? deepthroat ? toiletgames?
[14:07:50] Eve Phoenix: no, yes and no. I do great stripteases, play with myself using toys or fingers, cum for you, watch your cam...

This isn't a member thing, but it still made me go 'wtf?' all the same. Seems like a strange way to try to recruit someone to your studio.
Perhaps they're trying out the "negging for studios" playbook.

Not to mention, I don't see the profitability of such a site.

People photograph stars because
1) They are easy to find, you always know where they live, what they're doing career-wise, where they'll be.
2) The paparazzi gets paid lots of money for their photos on tabloids and whatnot. How is Vlad going to pay these stalkers? Only a very few people will want to stalk hardcore enough to find a model, and even fewer can actually afford the amazing camera equipment needed to get good photographs of people from far away. And then they won't be paid for their pictures because the only people interested in paying to see pictures of us already are! Hullo!

Saw this on the pirate bay, made me cringe - and lol:

Why is there a band aid on her face?

This conversation makes me think of the JEM episode where this rich, die-hard Jem fan was paying The Misfits (Jem and the Holograms' rival) to find out Jem's real identity (her real name was Jerrica Benton).

JEM fan for life, bb's!
