:twocents-02cents: I know that vlad guy has said a lot of things that have annoyed/frustrated/offended people here..but for some reason I get the feeling that he just doesn't get it...you know? Like he really does think in his mind that it would be perfectly alright for members to meet models that they really like. It makes me want to explain to him, like I would to a child, exactly why that's the most horrible idea I have heard in a long time.
so if Vlad is lurking and sees this post.. for his benefit...
1) models do not want to meet members.. no matter how big of fans they are...sure there are exceptions where individual models might meet a trusted regular..but it is rare. Most models have no intention of ever meeting any member from camsites. Working as a webcam model is interacting through the internet. The job description does not include meeting people in real life.. if it did, I know a lot of girls who wouldn't want to work then.
2) How do you know if someone means harm or not? Are you telepathic? The sweetest most "baller" guy can have malicious intent that he hides really well behind a smile and nice words.
3) Even if the member has only the best intentions, it doesn't matter. It is stalking. I (and many other models) have personal lives and families and do not want anybody else in our lives. I don't care if its the hottest, sweetest most generous guy on the planet..I want my privacy and I want my personal life undisturbed.
4) I don't know how to stress enough that webcam models are for webcam interaction only. To attempt or encourage otherwise is wrong. You are putting not only the model at risk but also her family including any young children the model may have. Celebrities have bodyguards and security and live in places with cameras allover the place etc. Cam girls do not have that kind of safety net.
So yeah, sorry to post off-topic but like I said, I feel that vlad really is clueless as to why what he said was very, very wrong. He truly does not see why he got banned. He just doesn't get it and maybe I'm too optimistic but perhaps there's a chance that he'll read this and a light bulb will come on in his head.
Okay...back to Members and the WTF things they say!!! :handgestures-salute:
edited to add: I always screw up html code ugh
