Starting Camming Again.. Suggestions?

I'm struggling financially, about to lose my home this month. I re-started camming the other night because
I am in dire need of funds and want to continue regular camming to keep a roof and food to eat.

I try to be friendly to people and welcome them in. There is one grey colored person who has never
once tipped, yet continues requesting from me and feels insulted/upset if I do not do so. I don't have a
lot of chatters or viewers I guess because I'm low on the todem (?) being just back? I also don't know
what title ( suggestions? ) to put/hash tags.


Greys - What do I do about grey people who are there chatting but want requests? Is it rude to suggest if they want
something to choose from the tip menu? or roll dice? etc? What do I do when they are upset and say they feel
ignored?


Down Time - What do I do during down time when people just pass through? I feel like.. why give a free show and
go full nude when no one is there to tip? And theres only a few people? I don't know what to do with myself and feel
awkward. I also don't have interactive toys (no funds to purchase).


DM's - Some people request a dm. Once I do, some are helpful and suggest add a tip menu etc..
(which I forgot to do). After their help they said, "now you should do this..." At first I thought they
meant add it to my list.. but they requested it. I did it just once. Something simple. But feel very
overwhelmed.. as this person seemed to be a pro and probably took advantage of me as they
didn't even tip (this was not a grey user). I don't know how to deal with these types.


Outside Contact / Name Insults - I think the websites don't want us talking to people outside of it to make
income right? I feel uncomfortable with that, yet get requests to do so. I know some people have certain
fetish.. but I don't like being called "slut" etc and other words. Is this something we post somewhere what we
do/dont like? People ask what are my limits.. I have no idea what to reply with or what that necessarily means.
I just want to be respected..


Goals - If I make a goal titled: "Need to Pay Rent" and want to raise $800 (it's way more than this).. Do I put
the full amount of tokens needed to reach this goal? Or do I split it into several small amounts that keeps re-setting?


Mail Boxes - Do any of you get mail boxes that people can send stuff to you? Example: Toys (they may want to see
you use), clothes (they'd want you to wear), etc? And just put it under a stage name? And/Or create a wishlist somewhere
that those items are shipped to that mail box?

I appreciate any suggestions/guidance. Also, are there cam coaches? Is this an existing thing? I am struggling
in every way, especially mentally and keeping my composure with so much stress is challenge. Thank you

Make a menu and a goal so u dont get naked for nothing ., only if they tip from menu or at goal u get naked , rest just be a nice tease and talk to them all the time .

Thank you for this. Super helpful and clears up some confusion for me so I can better understand. Especially makes sense if they want all your attention in pm to go private. You definitely have good point saying that. Amazing knowledge. I am looking into another web site someone mentioned on here Might give that a go..

Don’t listen to rude beggars silence them.
you can warn them at first.
As for greys you can turn them on and off. I would suggest keeping them on for a bit and talk to the nice ones to get the conversation going. Silence the jerks; and if too many of them are miss behaving, turn them off.
Tease when it’s quiet and put small fun goals. Keep your menu visible and organized.
if a guy is being rude tell him to be nice please.
as for pms don’t do it, 99% of the time it’s guys just trying to waste your time.
Put a lush in your wishlist and a description of what your big goals are like getting your rent paid/ saving for a dream home/car/pet etc

I'm going to repeat some stuff Ive said in other threads here.. and throw a lot of information out here, I hope its clear and comes across as helpful.
This is based in my own experience (10ish years, with a couple years break in the middle) and for the purposes of this post, I assume you're on Chaturbate?



Greys - Some will disagree with me, but I strongly recommend turning them off. If they get chat/attention without buying tokens most won't bother. You could focus that energy on people who actually want to spend on you.

Down Time - Listen to music, dance, tease a little. Ive also pretended to be talking to someone so it looks like I'm busy. First and foremost show your personality, but if you are getting frustrated take a break. I also point the cam away from my face for a bit so I can relax... Chaturbate also shows your preview image of your live cam, so keep in mind what your preview image is going to look like. I don't use token sites anymore because I don't like being turned up to 11 all the time to maintain traffic. IF you find you are slow on one site all the time, try some other ones!

DM's - don't bother with them, or if you must use them, charge A LOT for it (and per stream, not forever). on Chaturbate/MFC anything that takes your attention away from the main chat costs you money.

Outside Contact / Name Insults -

• You do not need to do off-site contact if you don't want to. and NEVER give your real phone number/email. If someone pushes for that, just say no, if they don't listen, ban.
• IF someone is pressuring to break site rules ban them.
• IF someone is insulting you or pressuring for a fetish you're not comfortable with, ban them.

You might be noticing a theme here... don't tolerate disrespect. reacting, arguing or allowing assholery disrupts your chatroom and your mood, which costs you money. Remember this is your chatroom and you need to be in control of it.

This point is a little bit concerning to me... you don't know what you are and aren't comfortable with? This is personal to you and you should take some time with yourself to think about what your boundaries are before you start streaming again. You can just say "no". Also, it is your responsibility to read the Terms of Service/Model Code of Conduct for any site you stream on.

You can put your room rules in your bio/profile if you want but trolls and creeps do not care/read your rules. You just say no or ban if they get pushy.
there is no shortage of losers who get off preying on newbies and push your boundaries. Or self important blowhards to tell you how to run your room (spoiler: its exactly to their personal preference).

Goals - You can do smaller goals or bigger goals, thats a personal preference. There are lots of bots/apps to do this with. Check out some other models and see how they set their goals "x amount till strip tease" and so on.
I mean this in the most respectful way possible... don't paint yourself as a charity case. Being desperate will turn off legitimate tippers and at best attract creepers with a hero complex.

Mail Boxes -

Of course never use your home address on a wishlist, its not secure. but given your current situation I would suggest you direct them to spend tokens instead of getting gifts.
IF someone insists on buying you a gift, a giftcard is better than the hassle/cost of a PO box.

Just a warning - People trying to pay for shows/content outside the site are usually trying to scam you or get a discounted show. It is very easy for them to cancel an order or dispute the charge with their bank. Amazon Wishlists & Paypal are particularly risky - see previous threads on this forum on why you shouldn't do it. Outside payments are at best an inconvenience to the model, and at worst a huge risk. When you accept payment through the cam site you are protected against chargebacks.



You don't need a coach or a moderator to teach you how to cam. there is a TON of existing information on this forum and lots of experienced models who are happy to help

If you've come back to your former platform and find yourself low on the ladder, with wack traffic, why not try a new platform? You know how to cam, so get that new girl status, and bring it to a fresh audience! I did that at the beginning of COVID, and it's the best decision I could have made. Okay. I haven't even started camming yet, so I know that my comment may not even be welcome, but I have something to share since I am truly starting and have given this a lot of reflection. One of the reasons why I have waited to officially get on camera is to do research, yes, but also to know what I am and am not willing to do. The thing that I have gotten is that I better know firmly what my boundaries are because if there is a crack, that is where guys (jerks, predators) will be gravitating towards. I have a history of abuse and PTSD and if I could guess from your stress level, babe, I think you have a lot of crap you are dealing with. What I was taught is that guys who are predators literally SMELL that insecurity. They will seek you out. So in order for me to do this, it's got to be boundaries, boundaries, and more boundaries. Ultimately I think it's good for girls like us. We finally get empowered and learn to say no. Not...well, I don't want to be mean, but... We aren't here to make friends. We are all grown-ass men and women and have every right to take care of ourselves. Can you tell I had a shitload of therapy?

Anyway, how I approached it, I have studied girls' pages and literally took notes, then went back and starred, what rang true and fun for me. Like I know that I am a color wheel girl, for sure. I know that DMs are going to drive me bonkers and piss me off to no end. I know that I will be self-conscious when I twerk. . But it was only when I wrote it down and just let it sit there, that I felt it in my gut. So I guess what I am saying, is (1), and this is important, YOU can trust your judgment. Your gut totally knows what's okay for you. (2) you don't need to be figuring that out while you are feeling the pressure to perform and earn money. That is waaaay too stressful. Do whatever you need to do to get your nervous system nice and calm, journal about what other girls do, and then go back and trust yourself. Limit it only to the things that seem fun and comfortable.

There were things that didn't necessarily fall into the yes or no, but more of a well....maybe. Then I realized, that's exactly where guys will push and where predators will smell it. The reassessment of what you want to do should be in privacy, not when some a-hole is pushing you.

You are worthy of a guy paying his money for and so much more, so don't give him anything that doesn't make you feel confident and awesome. That will also make them want to spend more. Then come back on here and tell us all your insecurities, where it's safer.
