We as users do not get free tokens when signing up via affiliate link. Do not fall for those "sign up under my affiliate link and get 200 tokens free" because you won't get them

If it is the models affiliate link then they get the tokens/cash, depending on which way they set up the payout for affiliate.
It's not applied in tokens. There's a separate breakdown, by date, of token packages purchased using her link and the amount she earned from that purchase. That amount is automatically there at the request payout page. This is to prevent affiliate money being used to tip other rooms, thus preventing gaming of the system in a very nefarious way.

We have zero control over it once we post the link and someone uses it.

I stand corrected. Since I have never used or set up any affiliate links , I was not sure how it went

No worries. There is a section that says it pays 10 tokens per sign up and 500 per broadcaster sign up, but I don't think any of the independent models would use those when the other options are so much more enticing.

That man is deleting old ones and making new ones.

I know some members get post nut clarity after spending more money than they want, so they delete their accounts to stop their spending/stop going on cam sites, but end up coming back when they get horny again. Could be that. And, some members delete their accounts if they get caught by their partner, but end up going back. I don't think it's always a nefarious reason behind it. Hell, I frequently deactivate my socials because I need a break from them, haha.

About the affiliate link stuff:

The affiliate program is designed to reward advertisers, model, etc for bringing in new customers. That is it that's the sole purpose of it. You can use it the way you are using it if you want but if a model or advertiser brought you to CB first you would be taking money from them.

100% this.

I'd wager that 99.9% of guys knew about chaturbate and already had chaturbate accounts before they ever heard of the affiliate scheme.

I wouldn't call affiliate marketing a scheme. It's a program to incentivize models/advertisers to bring in new traffic. I mean, a lot of influencers you see online do affiliate marketing and make very good money from it, and if used as designed, makes whoever is promoting the site/product money as well as the business. I don't think it's a negative thing for someone who found the site through their own means to make a new account under a model's affiliate link so they can make extra money, but it's for sure not the reason why it exists.

i believe most people know how affiliate marketing works compared to a decade ago. from my experience, i've noticed that if a member likes your content or you, they will eventually delete their original account and sign up through your affiliate link without any suggestion.

but yeah, post nut clarity, a handful of members will delete their accounts. i get annoyed if they choose a different username everytime and expect you to remember them.

It' svery common w users who are in relationships to delete their accounts over and over again, and make new ones. Because their partner goes through their phone, and they have some insane deal, where they are not allowed to watch porn. It's also very common for guys who are struggling with porn addiction to do this too. These are just 2 possible reasons of many, but they are pretty common reasons. Sorry if someone already said this, don't have time to read every post in thread. Cyber stalking is also common too. No way to definitely know what the reason is.

No, I agree that's not the reason it exists but it's probably the way it's used most for better or for worse.
What?

Every advertisement you've ever seen for a cam site was done through an affiliate link....technically cam sites buying their own advertisements don't need to use an affiliate link but most of them do for tracking and cookie purposes. A cookie is placed when you come in through an affiliate advertisement or link so that that person gets credit for your sign up so if chaturbate buys advertisements they might use their own affiliate program to place a cookie and get credit for sign ups. Anyway the way you are using it is an extremely small percentage of how the affiliate program is being used you simply aren't aware of that because you don't do any affiliate marketing it's not supposed to be obvious to the average visitor.

20% rev share can be a really big deal but securing quality adult traffic is not easy and then you got all these bots running around trying to steal advertisers money by doing fake clicks and stuff it's a tough business.

Ok so now we know why so many accounts... Honestly when I read your post I was having the exact same thoughts as you plus does that count as religious uniform, probably not but the thought crossed my mind.

Edit: but I don't know how the request was worded.

What we were about to do was a cum show and before show, he said that he will imagine his way with catholic school girl. This is exact description....

I guess, assuming the worst case scenarios.
Not banning him = Ban for you
Banning him = He raises a support ticket to refund the tokens

I am sure someone with more experience can provide a better opinion, but I think you choose the safer option.

Unfortunate choice of words. He probably meant a pleated skirt and white button up shirt. That was the uniform at my catholic grade school.
I've been getting called daddy recently and started telling models I'm husband not daddy because I didn't want to get caught up with an accidental ban.

Support can reverse the tip if you're worried.
Good job letting him know why you were banning.

A user who was stalking my employees copied my username once. I warned him from a user account about his behavior. Well he thought it was cute to copy the name I used to contact him. That was a problem because it was also well known by my employees. He was an Australian rambling about studio girls. I reported the incident and the platform didn't respond or delete the name. Since then I just retired user names when necessary. I'm sure he has a simple reason if you ask him.

I had plate skirt but like 20 cm long, bought in sex shop, and black bra without inside, so literally straps and around tits,no white button shirt, no white stockings, no pigtails and im 36!:) And as i mentioned before, he could think about Adult school girl but how could i know? if i would ask him and mention minor in my question i would be banned :/ if i wouldnt react i also could be ban, if i woud keep dping show thinking thaT he can imagine underage- this would be too much for me and i dont wanna even think about it.
omg what a story with those stalker... I had stalker once ,it was begining of my job, he was stalking many girls, he was creating accounts. doing goals: Ban xxxx and my nickname i n his topic, he was wishing me death but also tipping ,it took few months to banhimm but before he poisoned life of other girls. Stalkers are nightmare but luckily i had only 1 stalker during many years of my work.

about daddy - some things are not so obvious , like sugardaddy meaning is ok,but other not, and we never know 100% if it wont be a problem and alwayhs when somebody use this words i have shivering from fear. its really good that u trying make models not use this .
About school girl- I added word "school" to my banned words so cant be used in my room anymore. Funny story: last time my regular wanted ask me for song hahh and he was trying write 3 times request:) and i didnt get any of message with word song. Why? because i banned word "son" :D so "song" is including son ,so every word which having this part is silenced .....

The Catholic schoolgirl thing is certainly difficult to justify. So many ifs and buts. "Grade school" is not really a term used in Oz (at least not in my era), so I may be way off here, but those uniforms are worn right to the senior year of highschool, so, the guy *could* be thinking of 18 year old (at a stretch). But in an adult cam site scenario I think it's best for both models and users to err on the side of caution and not reference it at all.

The "Daddy" thing, is another issue. Theer are a few possibilities, in one instance, @BlackWizard is correct, it stems form sugar daddy. Marilyn Monroe in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes refers to her beau as "daddy" he is not that much older than her, but is extremely wealthy, so it is not a father figure thing at all in that instance.

As to models using it, if they are Colombian it may merely be a translation issue. Both Mami (mummy/mommy) and Papi (daddy) are/can be terms of endearment for one's partner. I have even seen/heard in some Colombian TV shows parents calling their kids mami or papi, it clearly can mean sweetie or sweetheart or whatever directed at anyone of any age. So if an inexperienced model were to translate papi to English for a conversation it would come out as Daddy and may not be corrected.

Then there is the Fleetwood Mac song Oh Daddy, I do not think Christine McVie is singing about her father, nor about a father figure partner. I am not sure exactly what the motivation there is.

But again, if I was a model (and as a user) I would not use the term, and would discourage it's use by anyone interacting with me on a cam site.

On point! I hate this situations, specially with regulars because reactions of site when model will break TOS are instant, so we dont have much time to explain or say the reason ( i did it very fast this time), so sometimes those poor people dont understand what they did. Im working there so i need know TOS, but i dont think that customers are reading it carefully. If somebody really mentioned minor in direct way or said something obscenic, im not sorry for them, but if situation was more soft or not clear but i needed ban to protect myself just in case , its really ruining my day and i know that his day probably was ruined too.

I am sure there will be no come back on you from the site. It seems like you have acted swiftly and appropriately.
