I sense trouble. Hopefully they won't be adding soap. You never wash Ferret's. Just ask EvaLee. They begin to stick something fierce after a bath to replace all their furs natural oils.

Saw a thing awhile ago about how owning a sloth for a pet is apparently the vogue thing on the rise now. Yes, they are expensive and yes you have to get a permit of some sort so I never really gave it much more concern. ... until the other day. I was in a certain camgirls room that has had some astounding success. She was displaying her semi-new acquisition of a cute lil kitty that she was getting very irritated at [it was just being a typical kitteh.] She was "demonstrating" how she picks it up and holds in in all sort of 'dead cat' poses [one handed] and watches it protest, only to drop it and then pick it up by the scruff of its neck and fling it to comment how it "always lands on its feet." :angry4: This young woman has no clue how to care for even a simple cat. ...the problem tho and relevancy to this thread.... She said her next goal was finding and buying a sloth because they were "so cool." The guys tried to talk her out of it for the most part by saying how expensive they were etc. and her fanboys encouraged her even more. Her reply was "I can afford it and I want one." :angry4: :angry4:
As a permitted wild animal rehabber and rescue facilitator, all I can say is that I hope this trend stops fast. Just because the cool "pet du jour" can be afforded doesn't mean you should own one. Exotic critters are a lifestyle change that require EDUCATION and commitment and not some toy or accessory for your personal fake assed shallow YLAM thing.....

ok.. end of rant....
Back to the too cute pics !! :D

Megatherium (I love saying it's name) was the size of an elephant. Imagine if they where around today.
