Fake as opposed to scam? Apparently this happened to another model the other night and I heard Lesbo say she was just "gonna ban the guy and his model girlfriend"...

I would have assumed the motivation to do this would be to scam a free show or something, but I feel like there's more going on behind the scenes.

OK, I'm a bit confused here. First of all, how does tips appear in the room to the viewers? Is it just bold text saying "member tipped x tokens" or is it highlighted like MFC does it? Secondly, how can a guy scam like that? I don't get it.

I would like to know the same thing. It's scary if its THAT easy to fake out tips on SV. I watched a few minutes of it happening as well (thx Jup) and it looked legit, as well as the girl seemed very excited. Also, the girls boyfriend/hubby/male playmate sounded annoying as fuck.

There is a token counter in the top corner of the model's screen, so if it's legit, it will appear there. Usually takes a few seconds for it to appear, so it would be difficult to fake.

As to how it appears in the chatroom, I... will have to pay more attention.

Also when you chat it says "Jupiter: says this" (with a colon), when you tip it just says "Jupiter has just tipped one token".

I asked another model who had the same thing happen the other day (I think might be same guy, diff account) and she claimed - dunno if this is true - it's that he uses his credit card to buy tokens, then declares the CC stolen.

So in that case it's creditcard fraud I guess. IF that's true then it's not only fucked up, it's also really dumb and he'll be lucky not to end up owing thousands of dollars and/or going to prison.

I witnessed this first hand earlier; this douchebags tips accumulated about 2000 tokens yet she wasn't doing a damn thing in public, then went group for a few, came back and then more tips came in. There's no way anyone would waste that kind of cash.

I'd expect this kind of bullshit on MFC but not SkinVideo, hopefully all the guilty parties are dealt with.

Yeah I dont know, I think there's probably missing information we won't find out about - when someone manages to cheat the system admins are usually pretty hesitant to let everyone know exactly how to do it hehe

Net result? A loss of $9,200. If 10,000 tokens was an average day for her, it would take 12 days to make up the loss.

Doing something like that just isn't worth it.

But wouldn't she get .08 of every 0.10 back if she is tipping herself as Yanis? Plugging that into your model (pardon the pun), she'd be out $2000 instead of $10,000. A camgirl self-tipping on SV would only be losing 20% of her investment, as opposed to an MFC girl losing approximately 30% Luckily, Skin probably doesn't have the traffic right now to make that very marketable for self-tipping scammers. No idea if it was a fake tip war or if she got scammed or what, but it's sad all the way around.
