Sandy Hook chaos

DISCLAIMER: I'm NOT trying to make a mockery out of a serious tragedy.

What happened that day was horrible. I'm simply trying to wrap my head around the recent rumors.

I've been seeing/hearing stories about how the families that were interviewed about the Sandy Hook shooting were fakes. Here are some links:

There was also supposedly a memorial for one of the victims planned on Facebook before the events took place.

Really, I'm just curious and find it all interesting. Thoughts?

Just remember, on the internet anyone can say anything...and they can piece together fragments of early reports (which are almost always dubious and inaccurate), and also, try to find the source the CT'ers are using...if they go to Prison Planet, Infowars or other kindred sites, why bother?

The only CT I'm seeing right now that may have any veracity is the connections to pro-gun groups making up lies about Sandy Hook out of fear the government will "TAKE AWAY OUR GUNS (or penises?)"

Honestly, that's probably exactly what happened. If I make a page and don't have much on it, and then suddenly someone I'm close to dies in a shooting, I'm sure that I'll turn it into a memorial.

As sick as the shooting was, the fact that they're trying to turn it into a conspiracy theory and now people are trying to say that it didn't happen... this is even more sick. This is saying "I can't make this media frenzy about me, so I'll make it about me by saying it never happened."

Yes, technical glitches happen. A bit of coding goes wrong and suddenly something that was posted on Sunday is showing up as being posted the Friday before. It happens. Shit, on this forum, every single day all summer long, the posts were 2 hours behind for me. So I posted something at 3:30pm, and it showed up as having been posted at 1:30pm. I have the time zone in the forum right, but it still did that all summer. My posts were not fake just because a programming error timestamped them wrong.

The only issue is that the account was started 4 days before the shooting at the Newtown CT, elementary shooting. The user could possibbly have created the page earlier and then changed it to this subject

If these conspiracy theories are true, then it means that hundreds of people across any number of private organizations would have to be working with the government to stage the shootings. It also means that these people were so stupid that they published, and left up, information about the shootings days before they happened.

I do not recall hearing about any media outlet publishing any information on the shooting before it happened.

When you truly believe that the government slaughters its own citizens and that Google would team up with charity organizations and FEMA to spread misinformation and kill children, you will find that 'evidence' somewhere.

:-D I know. And I've noticed this phenomena just today. I mean the Sandy Hook lies started almost right after the horrific event, but just today I've noticed a flurry of these stories in increased numbers. One of my best friends, who is an avid "Coast to Coast" listener and loves CT's, sent me one of these things this afternoon and after we talked, even she said she knew it was BS.

I'm not sure how it would work that actors could be used to mock up interviews without the the actual families noticing. I'm also not sure as to the logic of staging a mass shooting as they aren't exactly rare.

I'm a deeply cynical person and would give all reasonable credence to any conspiracy claim with any kind of support. The claims here seem for the most part wildly impractical and illogical. There are some alleged irregularities that need clarified, though it is more likely to be the local police covering their asses than any kind of conspiricy. This from the responses to the CNN link

This is a hatchet job on the professor. The professor raises some good pints. The fact that the press is not following up on the two men "proned out" at the school as it happened. The press refuses to get the names of these men and why were they running away? Why were the parents only allowed to identify their children from photographs only? Why was Chief Medical Examine Carver, who autopsied the bodies, unable to say how many boys or girls were murdered, unable to say what caliber bullet was used etc. These kids were taken out of the building in the dark of the night to a morgue 64K away, why? Why were there exit bullet holes on the car towed that day? Who was shot inside the car? Why is there a confusion on 2 pistols found with Adam Lanza, then 4 pistols and no rifle, then a rifle found in a car in the parking lot, then "Carver" says they were shot with a long rifle, yet he didn't know the caliber? These are the questions the above journalist (prestatutes) should be asking. This hatchet job above is an attempt to get this professor sacked to make other viewers who even attempt to ask real questions to sit back in fear.

On the other hand we have this video from the 16th which explains most of what is claimed to be dubious in the above quote.
