Hi there
i try to describe my problem: Again and again I lose the connection to the side shortly after enter a room. The stream continues, but all functions and buttons are dead. I can not tip, not refresh, even the chat then loses the connection and shows "Trying to reconnect, Trying to reconnect, Trying to reconnect".
The whole page can no longer be loaded, only when I disconnect the Internet connection and restore I have access again, but only briefly.
The strange thing is that I have this problem with every device in my local network. On my Windows PC, on my linux notebook and on my smartphone, so it’s not a problem of the browser or the OS.
So I replaced my 10 year old router, because it might cause problems with the data filter or hardware firewall. New router is here, but still the same problem.

I have already written the support, but this also means only I should delete cache and cookies etc. So that didn’t help me.
I have no antivirus software running, Windows Defender is offline too.

Do you have an idea? It is extremely annoying, because CB is the only site with this issue. All other streaming sites (YT, twitch..) are fine.

Best regards.

Does your ISP have any kind of content filter enabled? I'm assuming not because you wouldn't have been able to connect to CB in the first place I guess. Are you on a VPN? Is the VPN disagreeing with CB?

You're not alone. CB often has connection problems. I often get the "trying to reconnect" message. I also see the model I visit seemingly leave and re-enter the room without ever going offline. I assume that's the same connection issue at her end.

Thank your for answer. Yes, I should not be able to access xxx content anywhere else.

Yea i know, but then after a few seconds the connection should be rebuilt. But that’s not the case, only after I disconnect the Internet it goes again. So you can hardly use the site.

If CB had Google's trillion dollar budget, their services would be comparable. When you have infinite money, you can throw infinite servers at the problem and look like roses. The tippers need to tip more lol.

I have been having the same problem for a few weeks now, sometimes it's worse than others. After a period of time, everything stops working but the stream is OK, as long as I don't try to refresh. None of the buttons work, can't tip, can't type in chat, and I can't even log off. I just have to reboot and hope for the best.
And I have tried three different lap tops and it's the same.

I have tried a couple of the White sites and sometimes it seems a little better.

I've been having this issue since last year.

If I have more than 2 rooms open they will grind to a halt after about 15 min. The video and sound and User chat will continue, but the page buttons and User list functions will not respond.

If I have the room list page open all the room preview images will be semi-greyed out when it tries to refresh them. F5 Refreshing the pages just makes the browser hang.

I suspect it has something to do with the API calls failing and the browser script hangs waiting for a response.

If I close the browser down and relaunch it everything is fine for a short time, then it all grinds to a halt again.

I have had this issue on two PCs, two routers, and on Firefox and Chrome. I never max out my bandwidth either.

Cb runs on Amazon server farms. The servers aren't the problem. It's almost always user error.

Mine has been going on since December of last year, they did something then and it was OK for a long time, but the last couple of weeks have been horrible. So if they did something then, there is a problem somewhere in the loop.

Sorry for double post. But today its that bad that i can't even access to the main page.

Did one of you contact support? And what came out of it?

Yep, tried this already. The first time i did this the site respondes better. But after one or two days it was the same problem again. Maybe it was a coincidence.

It is reassuring and annoying at the same time that I am not the only one.

@Sequential
Yep, since last year in spring fits pretty well.
I tried it too, it seemed to work better for a while, but then it reverts back to the same. It seems to be worse in the morning. I have an email into support, but haven't heard back yet.

Have you come up with a Fix yet?

Have you come up with a Fix yet?
The two fixes I have found to work are:
  1. Close the browser down and restart it again, then open CB Rooms in tabs. This will clear the fault for some time until it all slows down again. Repeat as necessary.
  2. Close all the CB room tabs leaving only the homepage tab open. Wait for about 15 - 20 mins for the room list pictures to display properly again, then open CB rooms in Tabs. This will function until it all slows down. Repeat as necessary.
I have yet to find a remedy to prevent this in the first place.

I believe the issue is to do with the way the browser caches the responses from the chaturbate.com server. It appears that after a number of responses from chaturbate.com the browser's cache will misbehave and the room will lose functionality. The chaturbate.com server handles the API calls for the room buttons, the tip button, user list functions (refresh, Add Note etc), and the BIO HTML.

The actual video feed comes from a different server so that is why that part keeps functioning (my best guess).

I'll investigate further.

Yes, you could try that, but that’s definitely not a solution. For me, this often only helps a few seconds until the connection is dead again.

Currently, I hardly come into a room without directly losing the connection.

I currently have a ticket running, I will tell you.

That's pretty much what I have. I've sent Screen shots and a couple of vids to support , but haven't heard anything back yet. I don't know about you, but sometimes when I try to Auto Login from an email notice, it won't work either, it just tries to open a page and freezes blank.

I didn't know that the Stream comes from a different server.

I do too, and waiting.

Have you tried your access from another network/DLS connection? I just did that and it’s better from there (equal ISP).
Because at the moment I have almost no access to the site from my network. One day it’s better, another worse, like the weather.
What prevents the sending of cache outside the OS?

The idea of trying access in another network came from support. I think more help will not come, because then they suspect no mistake on the side.

I have been using Firefox for the last few days, and so far it's been OK. I couldn't make Chrome work on a consistent basis.

They only thing that's been an issue is the Auto Scroll in chat quit working yesterday, probably just a small glitch.

I'm getting this today on Firefox and Chrome. I need to keep scrolling down to see the latest chat and bot messages.

Have you guys had any more responses from CB. Im a dev, and this really sound like a serverside issue.

I have been experimenting:
The site works for 10 minutes and then starts to glitch. It begins with the chat displaying "trying to reconnect" and unable to load the user list. The worst part is that when I open a new page, it doesn't load anything. Blank page. This also happens when I open many pages at once, starting from 10 or more; at that point, the site won't let me load any new pages. The only way to make the site work again is to close the browser.

However, I found an alternative: when the site glitches, I connect to a VPN, and I can then reload the page that wasn't loading, while the other pages continue to work(somewhat... chat might bug. But reloading the page works.)

This plus all of you guys feedback strongly suggest to me its server side. Looks like throttling. The site works fine for 10 min. Boom all goes to shit. Restart browser and it works ??? It might be a bug, but man making the user go through the classic "reboot your router" i hope they are actually investigating the issue.

I'm still getting this issue. My workaround is to make a mental note not to have more than three room tabs open at one time.

I have always thought this was a browser cache issue rather than CB throttling the connection.
After a certain amount of API calls the browser cache gets bogged down and the page scripts hang waiting for the responses.. and wait.. and wait.

I understand that closing the browser and reopening does not clear the cache, but will reset any previous cache pointers to the API calls.

So, today I ran an experiment:
I used Firefox, Edge, Chrome, and Opera all logged in with the same account and running at the same time.

On each browser I was able to have the CB room list and three rooms open in tabs.
This gave me 4x Room lists and 12 rooms running without issue on the same CB account.
The test for stability was to refresh the User List in each room and verify that the API returned the user list successfully.

If CB was throttling the server and I would expect only 3 rooms to successfully function. Here I was able to get 12 running.

Maybe there is something amiss in the API response headers that cause the cache to bog down.

For example the Cache Control Response for the User List API is cache-control: no-cache
At a glance this would appear as an instruction not to use the cache, but the MDM Web Docs explain this in more detail:

The no-cache response directive indicates that the response can be stored in caches, but the response must be validated with the origin server before each reuse, even when the cache is disconnected from the origin server.

If you want caches to always check for content updates while reusing stored content, no-cache is the directive to use. It does this by requiring caches to revalidate each request with the origin server.

Note that no-cache does not mean "don't cache".
no-cache
allows caches to store a response but requires them to revalidate it before reuse. If the sense of "don't cache" that you want is actually "don't store", then no-store is the directive to use.

If the CB Devs are listening, maybe changing the Cache Control from no-cache to no-store could fix this issue.

I didnt follow that at all its not more likely a connection limit by the browser? have you tried that browser parameter to add more connections? i dont remember what its called. Maybe cloudflare rate limiting? remember it can specify per file, like for example when i used to frequently look at the user list it would stop loading for a while as if it was rate limiting that particular file that was called.

I did try this in Firefox some time back but it didn't make any difference.

Maybe someone at CB has been listening.. 🙏

Presently I have 20 room tabs running in Firefox without a glitch. All User Lists are refreshing normally. No reconnects in the chat.

Also at the same time I have another 10 room tabs in Chrome running successfuly.

In both browers the Room List tab is displaying and updating normally when refreshed.

The sound from my speakers is like a full-on orgy 😆
