I'm thinking of making a bitcoin based cam site

Edit: I'm thinking both the payments and the contact (video, pictures, text, etc) would happen off site to keep it as flexible as possible, kind of like r/sexsells.

the main feature of the site would be finding online sugar babies/sugar daddies, and then everybody has the flexibility to pay and interact however, they want, bitcoin, skype etc, though bitcoin seems the best way for sure

im trying to make a good way for daddies and babies to find each other so that they can connect and pay OFF SITE. For example via skype and bitcoin or with any currency they like, all on their own terms.

they key feature would be that it would be purely a way to connect and you wouldn't have to pay a portion of your earnings to the site, and there would be no application process or any of the other things that you have to deal with on current cam sites

There already are a few. xotika.tv has been around a long while, usually only one to two models live and little to no traffic.

Seems it doesn't really work too well to focus on only bitcoin for a cam site. Several larger cam sites already accept it as an additional option.

This is a general post about bitcoin only websites, not directed to the OP in particular: I am starting to think that the reason people keep trying to start bitcoin only sites are mostly to avoid the $1000 Visa/MasterCard merchant processing fee.

I mean I get it; I have an adult blog and I'm considering accepting bitcoin as the only direct payment aside from third parties.

But
1. You're limiting your audience drastically by only accepting crypto currency and
2. $1000 is a small investment in the grand scope of starting an adult website that can accept the money everybody uses.

I personally would be thrilled if MFC accepted bitcoins. It would be fun to introduce the concept to a whole new audience.

I'm fairly certain that most sugar babies don't call their sugar daddies, "daddy", they use their name. Baby/daddy in this context is just a name for what the people are, not what they call each other.

So...Am I the only one seeing that he has no aim to have an actual site....Based on this comment I take it as...."I want to make a Craigslist post with examples of what I PERSONALLY am seeking and want to pay in Bitcoin"
I may be wrong but that honestly negated everything else you said previous to it, even though the obvious misconception of what a sugar baby/daddy arrangement is in actuality is tough to not address in full.

i dont know if bitcoin will be ever accepted enough everywhere to be viable replacement for currency, but i always new it would be very attractive to many people for many reasons. i actually bought 10 bitcoin back in 2011 and held on to them for a while and forgot them until 2013 when i found out they had caught on and the price went up from $5 a bitcoin to $120 per bitcoin then in the summer of 2013 they started going down and decided to panic and sell all 10 for $700. guess i should of held out! thank you for accepting criticism

I'm going to have to disagree with this. Considering most cam sites charge something like 30-50% of your income, and have an annoying setup process, I think offering an alternative that takes nothing and has no arduous setup process would be contributing quite a lot. For one thing it would raise the income of the models significantly, potentially as much as 100 %. Does anyone else have an opinion on this?

would there be anything to stop underaged models advertising their services through you? (What 'arduous' hurdles are avoided, and what are the pitfalls of those for you as a company?)

of tips/tokens, sure. but on what sites do they monitor your twitter/snap/kik/skype usage for other services you offer outside of the limits of their site? (i.e., what stops them doing this without your help ... presumably they do whatever they do already, without your help, and it's already a good way to promo themselves to a good amount of traffic).
