Actually, it is a job. We have to pay taxes on the money we make on cam and clip sites. Probably considerably more than you do if you’re a W-2 employee, since when you’re self employed you have to pay the employer’s portion of taxes as well. Referring to the “they can do 100 other things” comment. Actually, not everyone has that many options. I can only speak for America, but the economy here is terrible right now. The cost of living has drastically increased over the last few years due to inflation. Good paying jobs aren’t easy to come by. There’s a lot of people who have turned to camming as a way to supplement their income, along with working a vanilla job, as a way to make ends meet during this rough economic period.

There’s also models who have severe chronic illnesses and aren’t able to work a typical 9-5 job, so they started doing adult work out of necessity.
