It is very simple.
Any broadcaster who pretends to be shy is a scammer.
Any broadcaster that never goes nude in public can very likely be a scammer.
Most of them come from eastern Europe.
Any model who goes like “this is my first day here, I am so nervous” will 100% be a scammer that will grab money a d won’t show anything relevant.
If in private show she starts teasing and wasting time then 100% she is a scammer.
It’s absolutely possible to be shy or nervous as a cam model. We’re just human, after all.
Also, cam modeling is porn. Porn is fantasy. Some guys really enjoy the fantasy of watching the shy girl next door being naughty online. Just like how you’ll have some models who mute their cams and have as their room header that they have to be quiet because their partner is in the next room sleeping and they don’t want to be caught. Is that the case? Probably not. Is it a scam? No. They’re playing into a fantasy that a lot of guys enjoy.
There’s also members who enjoy models who tease and don’t do nudity. There’s been top models on MFC and Chaturbate who don’t do any nudity at all, and have a dedicated core of members who tip well every time she shows up.
Just because it’s not for you, doesn’t mean it’s a scam. If a model promises nudity/a specific show and receives tips for it with no intention whatsoever of ever doing it, yeah, that’s a scam. But, it’s not really fair lumping all non-nude/tease models into that category.
They could do 100 other things to get money but decided the easiest (and most self humiliating) way.
It is not a job or a profession or anything. You don’t need any studies or any effort to open your legs for money in front of a camera. Anybody can do that so let’s not glorify them.
Actually, it is a job. We have to pay taxes on the money we make on cam and clip sites. Probably considerably more than you do if you’re a W-2 employee, since when you’re self employed you have to pay the employer’s portion of taxes as well. I’m pretty sure making money and then giving 20-30% of it to the government makes it a job.
Referring to the “they can do 100 other things” comment. Actually, not everyone has that many options. I can only speak for America, but the economy here is terrible right now. The cost of living has drastically increased over the last few years due to inflation. Good paying jobs aren’t easy to come by. There’s a lot of people who have turned to camming as a way to supplement their income, along with working a vanilla job, as a way to make ends meet during this rough economic period.
There’s also models who have severe chronic illnesses and aren’t able to work a typical 9-5 job, so they started doing adult work out of necessity.
It’s also not as easy as it seems. If it were as easy as “spreading your legs”, every woman who ever joined a cam site would be rich. But, it’s more than that. You have to be entertaining, charming, more often than not knowledgeable on different fetishes, you need to learn proper lighting, different softwares, how to edit (if making content), and the list goes on and on. And on top of that, models have to deal with mean people like you who will attack all models because he had a bad time with one.
Hopefully after reading this you will have a little more compassion. I don’t think you will, though. And so, I hope that one day you’re able to let go of whatever it is that is causing you so much anger.
