Interested in opinions from both models and viewers alike on this situation:

The room is often quiet, with say 100 viewers but only 2 or 3 active tippers, regulars who mostly tip at steady intervals for appreciation.
Someone new enters and tips for something off the menu - example, oil ass.
If those 2 or 3 regs then tip on the back of this, while the model is doing the action, are they seen as:

a) trying to help and encourage some continuing tip activity?
or
b) stepping on the toes of the newcomer, and maybe he/she leaves as a result?

Member here. Wouldn't really bother me too much, Rod, maybe a little. I would have already scoped out the room for a while before tipping for any action, so i would know those guys are already tipping. So, I would either tip for PM and try to say hello (get to know her and become one of those regulars) or just keep tipping for what I like.

I admit, sometimes I get a little irritated when I am trying to establish myself in a new room and the regulars keep drowning me out. But I find that a really nice PM gets me "in the door" and then it's up to me and how I engage.

To me it's more akin to chiming in and saying "Me too!" or liking a post you agree with. If a new visitor finds it discouraging to tip when others are tipping, that's then going to become my problem. So if they want to leave over it, I am not sure if that's a bad thing.

On token/public show platforms especially, because viewers generally want to see that countdown moving and know that they aren't the only one chipping away at it, I don't see a downside.

idk its weird to think other people tipping after someone else's initial tip in public cam room as "stepping on the toes of newcommer"

if the newcommer wants interaction without chat/peanut gallery tipping and reacting when their initial tip kicked everything off, then they can pay for exclusive interaction or move along.

Now that I have been a member here at ACF for a while, I understand how it all works and what to expect and how to react appropriately. But before then, I think it comes down to jealousy or the thought of lack of respect from the member's perspective.

He tips for an action or attention and then others jump on top of it and his attention from the model disappears (in his mind). Don't forget that most members do not have the insight like some of us guys here do. He gets pissed and simply leaves, along with any other tips he may have offered, now and in the future.

I am just offering a different perspective - but that's why I offered my resolution earlier. haha. Just wanted to play devil's advocate. To be honest, jealousy on a cam site is stupid, but I am in-the-know...this is such a dynamic environment and I am glad I get to see it (by you models' posts) from both sides.

For me, it would depend on what the other tipping was. So if I tipped for topless and then straight away others tipped for things that "interfered" with that, I might be a bit bummed. But if they tipped for oiled boobs or something that "built" on my request, that would be good and make me feel like I was amongst kindred souls and I would likely look for something in a similar vein on the menu to keep the ball rolling. Generally it wouldn't bother me though.

Having said that, I do recall an incident a long time ago when I tipped my model friend for something (or won a prize after tipping for roulette wheel or dice) and before she could fulfill that request another user slammed down many large tips which meant her lush was going off at ultra high for 5 or 10 minutes. That annoyed me a bit, not with my friend, but that the other guy couldn't have waited a minute or so for her to perform the prize. As I became a regular in her room, I realised that that guy just liked to be the centre of everyone's attention.

These are the guys who post here about how they are generously tipping performers 200 tokens a month and are the only tipper. Everyone wants a different experience and has a different budget in mind for that, makes sense. There are rooms that are slower, and there are performers who will do a backflip for a token I'm sure. Some performers care more about massaging egos than others.

OK, thanks for all replies.
I'm definitely in category 'a' by default - add to the tipping.
But fairly new to this particular room - couple of weeks.
The model got annoyed at the fact that some new tippers left again straight after tipping for something, and asked to give space....... which surprised me.
IDK, maybe there had been some feedback, but it seemed like they weren't the kind of regs that anyone would want to acquire, if they took offence at fellow tippers.

Maybe it's not destined to be my new room of preference :)

not necessarily. Some of those guys may have been great regulars. But they just didn't know how to initially respond due to ignorance or lack of experience

I guess if you are tipping like a sniper immediately after every tip, it might appear like you are trying to take over the room. Like if you tip so quickly after every single other tip that the performer doesn't have time to acknowledge them separately (still, we are the ones who decide the pace so we can easily acknowledge separately even when tips come in quick succession...), I could see that maybe stepping on sensitive toes and them asking you to slow down a bit.

I suppose my thoughts on what they said would depend on how they said it.

Mine were definitely not immediately afterwards, although one of the other guys was doing that on occasion.
I usually tip a follow-up once the menu action has been completed, but before the model seems to be considering getting dressed again.
Generally everything I have ever seen you say here makes you seem like a member who is thoughtful with your interactions, and probably the kind of member most performers would love to have visit them. As in, the performer in question in this thread is probably in the minority, and I wouldn't worry about changing your behavior with this. That ^ is the kind of ~strategic~ tipping I love to see, you are really just keeping the action flowing.

As a mod, I tip hoping others will follow. It kind of gets the action going. If the room is active I stay out of the way.

That being said I once tipped a model almost 2000 tokens and she was telling me how amazing she felt (I know: acting). Then her mod, in public chat, said "Are you ready to cum?" He then proceeded to drop a couple of large tips. I think that might be defined as stepping on someone's toes.

To be honest I guess it depends on the newcomers tippers personality . But from my personal experience the newcomers most likely will not feel like beeing stepped on their toes .If they really like you and have money in their accounts they will TIP no matter of how many regulars u have or not .

I don't mind it personally. I actually do it slot. I'm a mod so I try to tip to get things moving. I also just do random tips to round out goals that are up. Like if it'd at 968 I'll tip 68 and so on. Not sure if it bothers people.

As a mod, I tip when it is quiet to try and get the action going. If other users are tipping I let them have their fun. I find that some users like to feel they are the focus of the model's attention and there is no reason for me to disabuse them if that idea. 😏

A good way to be I think.

Although I would hope that if they are the main tipper, then at *that* moment they *are* the centre of the model's attention, so there's nothing to disabuse them of really ;)

I can't remember who it was, but a while ago there was a member on here who posted about a scenario where a model had an unpleasant regular who was possessive and would make rude remarks to try to intimidate him. And I believe he said that when he tipped, the guy would make it a competition (Not a friendly tip war competition though) and say something rude and snarky. I remember reading that, and thinking damn...that reg sounds like a nightmare who deserves a ban.

But anyway...to answer your question, from what you described I would say A. Btw, I wouldn't tolerate the behavior of B, because this is a cam site...not the movie Mean Girls. I want everyone to enjoy themselves, play nice, and not act like we're in high school.

Sometimes I think seeing one person tip first helps motivate other people to join in on tipping. I would love to see several people tip, as opposed to just one person doing all the tipping and everyone else benefitting. If these regs in your above example are tipping for something in particular, I'd imagine they realize that the first thing I will do is complete the action (oil ass) that was tipped for first. And then complete the other requests in the order they were tipped for. Now if one of those requests was, say, to play the song "Jolene" by Dolly Parton, and the tip for that came in just one second after the "Oil ass" tip, then I could easily just type the song into YouTube real quick so that I have it playing while I'm completing the "Oil ass" request.

Yeah, I don't know why the song "Jolene" popped into my head. That was random. 😂

Well, now I'm gonna have it stuck in my head all day. Not mad about it at all, it's a great song. And she should totally just dump this dude for Jolene, it's clear she has a massive crush on her.

That sounds like a situation I was in. And it was her mod that acted that way.

Actually he disappeared suddenly in the past few months and cut off all contact with the model even deleting his social media. Financially he was a huge help to her but the way he treated me and possibly others was a huge issue.

But on a positive note, the model and I still have a great time.

That's not a bad point

I try not to over think things. Most guys just won't tip a lot or for very long. I tip for as long as I hang around in a room and I hang around in a room as long as it's fun for me to do so. If I really want the model's undivided attention, I'll ask for a private. The last thing I want to do is hang around a room not tipping. I mean interacting with the model is the entire draw of cam sites and there's plenty of free porn out there for when I don't want to spend money...
