Greys and PMs

Quick question. Can greys receive and reply to PMs in Chaturbate? Myself (moderator) and model both sent PMs to a grey yesterday (don't ask) and they claimed not to receive the messages. Are greys unable to receive PMs?

Anyway, after vaguely listening to this grey for too long they were silenced, but it did make me start to wonder what limitations there are on greys and their actions. Quite often I don't necessarily want to slap a noisy grey publicly and just want to have a quiet word. Obviously that won't work if PMs can't be read.

yes. as long as the chat setting isnt preventing them from talking in chat, in that case they can receive but not send.

Weird, because it definitely isn't set that way. Maybe they were confusing DMs and PMs and were looking in the wrong place. Thanks.

Obviously that won't work if PMs can't be read.

After experiencing similar situations, I wrote some code that allows me to 'private notice' a user in chat. If they are registered with CB and currently in the room, they will see it.

One bit of code allows the user to type back, making it possible to have a conversation with private notices (/pn user02 Hey, you're acting rude! /pn user01 No!!! How?).



^^ 1st line typed by user with bot permissions is hidden from chat. 2nd line is the sent receipt, only they see this. 3rd line is the recipient notice, only they see this. 4th line is the exchange notice, sent only to the model (so they know who is saying what behind their back).

The other bit of code allows you to target users by name, group, status (etc) and send private notices to one or many users at the same time (/notice [ grey01,grey02 bold #FFFFFF #000000 ] Please refrain from saying those things in chat!).



If something like this would benefit your model, please let me know. I would be able to put together something quickly in the v1 API for a moderate amount of tokens.

That's when you go to start a pm convocation right? If the model messages a grey user first they can then reply to the message, as long as greys are allowed to chat in the settings

Definitely this. greys can definitely reply to messages.

I can confirm that as a grey user I've received, and responded to, PM's from the model. My tipping account has also been blocked from responding to PMs because I hadn't tipped (or whatever other criteria the app/bot was enforcing). So there might be something getting in the way of the PM.

Or the grey could just be lying.

I don't let greys chat and haven't for 12 years so cool that this is possible, just don't see any reason to be talking to greys.

I agree with vixxen here, I'm 100% sure greys can respond because I've seen them get the model banned on purpose through conversations in PMs. Don't think those trolls only use the main chat.

Never PM them.

Usually I agree about not PMing greys, but there is 1 model who I have visited for years who streams on multiple sites. There are a few guys who will tip her on Site B and C (A = CB), but if she doesn't stream there for a few days, they tend to come over to CB to see and chat with her. Not sure why they never buy tokens on CB to tip her, maybe they cost more for them or whatever, I don't know and don't pry, it's not my business. But she will always Pm them guys and talk with them because they are tippers so she is keeping them sweet.

So there are maybe some ok/legit reasons
