I haven't yet, but I am definitely inspired to now! I saw an ad for teaching your dog to herd sheep etc, definitely thought of him and figured that after he learned his basic commands (which he is pretty good at now) I would.

The only issue is that Ive been turned away from a few groups (mostly the Humane Society) because when he gets tired or cranky or isn't getting his way.. well lets just say he has "nipped" at a few people, including myself, servers, and random passerbys. No one has ever said that he has actually bit them... just a nip, no mark or anything. And he can get VERY vocal in his tantrums, people look at me like I'm murdering him and a lot of the time I'm not even touching him, just looking at him sternly. So embarrassing!
I suppose you could say I'm nervous of being turned away or worse...

Im actually about to begin private lessons with a trainer, Ive never had such an intelligent... needy... Independent... anxious... rude to certain humans he doesn't like- dog before.

I keep him on a chain... it can be intense. No blood drawn yet thank Dogs!

He definitely needs a Job, and more training.

Thank you!! Pixie... her pics make my heart Melt she is so friggin adorable I can hardly stand it ahhh!
The Huge smile cause she loves her Mommaaaa awwwwwww

I just had a suggestion about Ghost if you don't mind. Have you looked into any "Working dogs" obedience groups? As a shepherd his drive to have a job can be incredibly strong. They are protectors by nature and if they aren't given a structured job they will sometimes take it into their own paws to create one, and that can be no bueno.

I'm looking at a group right now to help my Pixie work well around other dogs and they are actually not too spendy but can save him and you a lot of anxiety and stress.
:-D I'm happy he found such a sweet person to give him a home!
This is so true! I found that I suck at training dogs anyway and getting a German shepherd wasn't as bright an idea as I thought at the time. Just before his 1st birthday, however, Grendel (my shepherd) and I moved in with a new gf. She already had a dog, an older Australian shepherd/border collie mix named Samantha. Well, as fate would have it, Samantha (Sam) turned out to be what it took to train Grendel properly. She took no crap from him and taught him what's what in being a "family dog." When Sam passed on a couple years later, Grendel mourned for several months, but never forgot Sam's training. :)

This is why I love Petco so much. Every time I go I always see at least one furry child riding in a basket or in its human parent's arms. Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy, especially when I'm allowed to pet them.

Not sure if this fits in this thread. Gonna post it anyway.

Fairly sure if a model suddenly turned around on cam and was wearing this I'd have to tip just for the sheer awesomeness factor. :-D

Pixie got hot on our walk today so she laid down in front of a sprinkler and let it spray on her face! :-D

Ha I used to work there for two years. One time my dog was sick and needed medication during the day but I had no one to dog sit while I was at work. I brought my dog to work with me and he stayed next to me at the cash register all day.
This one lady saw my dog and said "they let you bring your dog to work with you?" (all snobish like)
And I said "well yeah, he's sick and I don't have a sitter for him today."
She says "well my boss would never let me bring my dog to work".
And I was like "oh, what do u do?"
She says " I'm an accountant."
smh I thought to myself, well duh, I work at a pet store lady.

This is my dog ;) His name is Randy (I'm kinda South Park fan, so named him.... aaah :D like Randy Marsh) he is 4 years old now, and this September we will be living together for 4 years ;) His mom is Scottish terrier and dad is dachshund :)

P.S. sorry if it's too long post
