Hi, I've been camming for almost 3 months now and I'm having the time of my life, so much so that I'm not even bothered enough to pay attention to how much I'm making per hour (probably less than min wage but oh well it's still more FUN than my vanilla job, which is what matters to me).

I feel like with 3 months under my belt it's now time to change things up a little. I'm getting bored with myself and I don't want others to get bored with me sooo.. I just bought an HD cam yesterday (upgrade from my built in laptop camera) because I feel my top tippers deserve it, and maybe an upgrade in quality will equal an upgrade in income? (Speculation).

I'm nervous to start using this new HD cam though because... imperfections in HD! Eeek >_<

1) Does anyone else ever feel this way and how do you get over it? I feel like my blurry laptop cam was a safety net that hide my imperfections. I don't really wear a lot of make up IRL, and have only starting covering up the really bad blemishes for cam (I also don't show my entire face online so that helps a little), but I get really bad zits on my cheeks and I could see them even WITH makeup and WITH my blurry cam sooo... help! Words of encouragement? Any remedies to take care of bad zits fast? lol. It just occurred to me I could play around with light/brightness settings I guess but I don't even know how to do that. I've only just downloaded OBS and it's like a whole new world to me, lol!

2) I want to launch my Snapchat, like, yesterday. But everyone seems to be freaking out over the T.O.S. update happening at the end of October. As I understand it, nothing regarding nudity/porn/selling access/anything that relates to camgirls is changing, so is there any point in me waiting until after the new terms go into effect (just to see if there's an increase in bans or w/e), or do you think I should just dive in now and launch my Snap alongside my Halloween show, as I am planning on doing? Also, if your Snap has ever been deleted/banned, how have you gone about keeping track of your members and do you just re-add them to a new Snap account or did you give up on Snap and give the members some kind of "consolation prize?" I just like to hear personal experiences of how other cammers have handled things. Thanks!

I’m assuming you’re talking about the metal jewel ones that everyone has? They come in all types of sizes, I’ve gotten mine on amazon. I've considered ManyVids, OnlyFans, and all those other sites but since I'm still so brand new I feel I don't have enough of a following to gain interest (haven't rly started making vids or anything yet), and idk, maybe because I'm more familiar with Snapchat that is why I feel more drawn to it? But then I could see down the road how it might be difficult to provide different types of content if I had both a Snap and an OF... idk idk idk! It's still all so new to me. >_< I was thinking of running my Snap a little differently due to a thread I read on this site. Basically, tip the amount for lifetime access, but you'll only see day to day peaks of my life -- unless I consider you a regular supporter/are somebody I recognise and like, then you will be added to a nsfw private snap story. I figure I'll offer the nsfw private to everyone who pays for it, at least for a month or so, but if I don't see them in my cam room again after a month ish then it's back to my cats and food and cute pics of my outfits n stuff lol. The one thing I will say, pretty much everyone I know that has offered lifetime snap, SEVERELY regrets it. Plus I wouldn’t have people who only tipped a small amount, be added to a private story without paying a much larger fee.
And a little heads up, a lot of people who have gotten their snaps deleted, are not able to create new ones because they’re being ip blocked.

I just suggested OF because pretty everyone I know is moving to it and ditching Snapchat. Members seem to prefer it much more as well.

I've caught your stream once. Never once saw your face and if it accidentally showed, people won't be looking at that part of you anyway. Your outfit was super fucking cool and interesting. You also have a really bubbly and fun personality. I understand that feeling of insecurity with a new and better cam. I think that it's a pretty normal feeling. I personally don't use any filters, but that's mostly because I just haven't found time to go through it all.

I highly recommend OnlyFans. I've never been a social media person so am unfamiliar with Snapchat, but OF has a nice clean interface that I feel is super simple to use. You already have a Twitter, you can just use that as your "glimpse in my life" and OF as the place where you're more sexy.

If that makes sense? Like, once you disappear from my cam room you also lose access to the private story (which I would be upfront about in a "Welcome snap," of course). IDK why, despite the risks, I am still so set on trying Snapchat. I personally hated running my snapchat lol. I was on CB at the time and I marketed it quite a lot and still ended up having way more people join my onlyfans & I'm currently on a site where I can't advertise it all. I'm pretty spacey with stuff like keeping track of subscribers/dates/if they come back etc. I like that with OF's they can join and already have content VS me scrambling to make sure I'm posting enough right away. Also as for the skin thing I totally feel you! I have acne scars, self injury scars and am prone to cystic acne. The logitechc920 is pretty forgiving with flaws especially if you tinker with your lighting and settings a bit. I think my skin looks waaay better on cam than in real life lol.

I don't post daily (usually only once or twice a week) on my OF, but I've made it clear to people that I don't. But I don't just post 1 picture, it's usually either a 5-10 photo set or a ~10 minute video. I think that if you're upfront with people about what they can expect from you, and then follow through with that, then everyone will be happy. You could offer a free month of OF access as a raffle prize and also offer discounts as other prizes. The ability to offer a reduced price on subscriptions is really nice. If you're more comfortable with Snapchat, then by all means go that route. Just know that you will be taking a risk and if your account gets banned, then you'll have to move to a different site anyway.

I do this. I have a main story for nudes, casual stuff basically. And for those that still come around and contribute in some way I have a story where I will post more explicit stuff. I never did much explicit posting before this change so no one was losing anything. I pretty much use a 6-12 month time frame. Imade this change recently and I didn't get any complaints when I announced it(I'm sure some are mad though). I stopped selling my snap for a long period of time so everyone was at least 1yr old.
i will say that I hate snapchat though, and OnlyFans is better. I had a payment issue but I heard it was because they were changing banks. Haven't withdrew yet this month though.

I have very bad hormonal acne due to PCOS, and an HD cam actually shows it less than a non-HD cam, believe it or not! When I got better lighting, it was even better! I like to turn my lights on and pull up my cam preview while I do my makeup, so I can see exactly how much I need to cover what, if my blush is even visible yet, etc. I usually end up using half the concealer I would use for in-person stuff, because my cam is surprisingly blurring! I also have an INTENSE skincare routine that I swear by (by which I mean I have like 10-15 steps, but my skin is way better now than when I had 3 steps), I can send you a PM if you're interested because it's a bit much to post here.

To a degree, but if I logged on with nothing covering my acne during a bad breakout, nobody would stay and tip. People are willing to look past a blemish or two, but when you have a pimple goatee, they're not going to ignore that.
