Not at all. I had a guy tell me he'd been watching my underwater clips for 7 yrs on c4s. He only contacted to ask about a custom. Never once found me on cam - he was looking for underwater stuff. Camming doesn't typically Happen underwater lol

But yeah theres crossover but every clip site i add brings more revenue and traffic and they're usually not super invested in me. Just looking for their specific type of niche porn. Im up to 5 clip sites now, same clips go up on all of them.

Well, as Ms. Amber mentioned already, in social rooms, special occasions tipping is fairly customary and pretty normal for people who tip just because. it's pretty normal to "welcome back" tip someone who has been off cam for awhile too, at least on MFC.

Well, at the beginning of my venture as a viewer I was in rooms without tipping, like twice a week. But after a month or so it became clear that it makes no sense.
reverse question: Do you think every single viewer is either broke or tipping? No middle ground?
When I'm not tipping I don't visit rooms. That doesn't mean I'm broke, just that I also have other financial endeavors.

I can't really be sure if a model is busy, sometimes she might be an it doesn't look like it, sometimes the reverse. Thats why I can't judge her for anything. But I mostly get positive vibes. If not, my first thought is that there might be millions of reasons for her ignoring me that have nothing to do with me.

From my perspective there is no "me" and "you" between viewer and model in the camming context. Its one fantasy persona connecting to another fantasy persona. That's why I literally can't take anything personal against me and can't be pissed off, because its not "me" and its not "her". If I think the performance is not to my liking I leave and try again next time. Maybe one of us had a bad day. On the other hand If someone calls me a liar here in the forum and Isn't able to tell me why, I get pissed.

Its just how I feel. I think I wrote about that far too much already, but if you get a micro shit storm you want to make your point. The wording about being dead, a woman, in jail etc. was meant to be funny. It wasn't funny for you. I can live with that. What I meant was that I don't want demanding relationships on cam and I do everything to avoid it. It might look exaggerated but I have enough beautiful but demanding relationships IRL.

Oh the special occasions thing, I have some customers who've been with me a long time who I wish happy occasions (such as their Bdays), and others who don't. It's an individual thing based on the Member really. Some I'm closer with than others. Some have been with me for years, and gotten more personal. I send personalized cards to one member on his Birthday and Valentines day, and he does the same back to me. We do sex shows but I consider him a type of friend too. I've had intimate personal moments with him for years. He spends a lot on me, but for those occasions money isn't involved. Maybe i blur the boundaries a bit, but he's never wanted to meet or anything, and i'm genuinely fond of him.

I had a few members spend extra on me my birthday month. Its nice, and I'll return the favor w freebies theirs. The members who aren't into that are cool too though, there's no expectation. But ofcourse I'm more likely to favor and have a more genuine sexual experience with someone I feel more personal with. Not everyone wants that though, and I know I don't want that with everyone either. Because variety is the spice of life for me. Its just not black and white like that means a meet up or anything though. But both ways of being a member are cool. No issues either way.

who is "we"? Are you talking for every model now? I've read a few posts of models here who didn't mind having non tipping viewers in the room. Normally I would quote the source but I won't go through the "wtf" or the "users do what you like" threads for that. Naturally its a minority of the models and as I said, when I'm in a room, I tip. But we should respect different approaches and not speak for everyone.

I have made the same experience in most cases. Models AND viewers get pissed by that. So its a loose-loose situation.

Why should models not give their FULL attention to a whale? He's the one putting anywhere from 50% to 80% of her food on table. These guys usually spend one hour and go. Why do members need attention when we are undressed already? Can't they undress us themselves?

If you tip any amount I am sure she would say thank you. The impression I get, whoever, is that some guys want our rooms as slow and we as desperate as we can get... For what you may ask?

So they can give us the minimum and get the highest show potential.

My friend's room, yes. Often.... Mostly actually, as I am not wealthy at all so I cannot tip often, but do tip reasonably well when I do tip.

I guess it's just my luck that I get a lot of THESE. Of course I like and appreciate my small tippers too but SOME are just rude. One guy said to me "have fun I guess" I was being nice and answering while my whale was there so I just typed nice stuff FOR FREE. I got the vibe he was very pissy and said "Sorry you are not having fun" he then asks me "How could I?"

Exactly what you are saying. Best customer should get the most attention. Simple logic. For the others it seems there are a few options

1. Go to another room because you can't afford her attention right now.
2. Be ok with the fact that your not the center of attention, be nice, tip her. Some acknowledgement from the model is great of course. But when she is superbusy you should be happy if you claim to like her.
3. If you only want her then either wait for the next opportunity, or talk to your boss for a pay rise better both.
4. Stay in the room, tip nothing pissing of and be pissed. You're hurting yourself that way, and the model of course.
5. Go to another room, be nice, tip. Its possible you can get the models attention there. She might be happy because there is no whale. Happy model = happy viewer.
6. Pick your nose and die.

I love it when I'm the center of attention. But when I can and want to afford that I'm looking for a private.

If I'd say a slow room doesn't have its merits I would lie. Here tipping is even more important for the good feeling you want to have. But trying to slow down a room is really bad and shows that you don't really like the model.

On gifts.

Personally, I've given them. Both tip gifts, with no expectation of anything in return and physical gifts. I know some models here will find that creepy. It wasn't meant to be in any way and it wasn't taken in that way by the (one) recipient. I've sent flowers, chocolates and many other things. Some of these were for special occassions. Mostly they were to cheer her up. I've even had breakfast delivered.

However, I completely understand users who would rather not do that. I only did that because we had built a personal bond and like anyone else who I value in my life, I want to do nice things for her.

I'm not sure why there is so much anger at users who don't do that though. For me, every model is different and so is every user. As long as users aren't taking the piss and acting like dicks then I think there's scope for a lot of different behaviours.

I can only speak from my experience with the only model I have ever visited regularly.

I'm a binge tipper. The nature of the sites that she is (was ) on are focused heavily on private shows or big set piece tips. As a result, at the end of each week I'd have a blowout and spend a fair chunk. However, she also enjoyed company on other days. We would always have an open discussion about it and I would always fade into the background when someone who was spending came into the room. I'm not talking about every day, and I'm not talking about hours at a time. Most of the time, I would be the only person in the room anyway and so some comic relief was always welcomed by her as a means of getting through a fairly boring shift. Unfortunately, she also had a lot of regulars who came in and chatted and didn't binge tip and that's resulted in a situation whereby last night she decided to quit camming.

Now none of the above was a hard and fast rule. Some days I would tip from her profile page without even entering the room that day. But in general, I did big weekly tips rather than small daily ones. But I would always have something for her every week without fail.

To be clear, on the days where I visited to chat and see how she was doing, I would never make a request or even speak in a sexual manner to her.

I think on sites where traffic is low to non-existent at times, I don't think it's unacceptable to visit for a chat without tipping so long as over the course of the week you give her the same amount as you would if you tipped in dribs and drabs. Certainly with my friend, the money was welcomed at the weekend and the mental health boost was welcomed on the other days. 8 hours is a long time to sit on your own, staring at nobody.

When you are talking about sites like Chaturbate with potentially hundreds of users viewing at any one time then a member coming in regularly, chatting and not tipping is just plain rude.

Like everything we've discussed in this thread, there are lots of different approaches. As long as both the model and the member are happy then I see no foul.

If I don't have enough tokens, I might only go to the room of models I know well enough, just to say "Hi ! Have a good day!".
Sometimes, I just write a quick "hello ! I wish you a good day!" in PM but I don't stay on the site.

If I stay, it's to chat when she's not on the show (on StripChat we can see it) and if she's in a "talkative mood".

But, even if I don't have many tokens, I try to tips a little bit just to "start the fun" and to encourage other tokens owners.

One time, I didn't come back to the site for few days and I was surprised to see some of my models sending me worried messages about me. That's why I try to give news even if I don't tip.

But, as it's YOUR job, I tip when I come "just to chat" as I could do in a Pub if I come to talk to a friend working here.

Look, everyone has their reasons for tipping or not tipping and this thread was created for just that reason -- to find out why. If you're defensive that probably means you feel some type of way about your behavior and that's on you. You're not a customer of mine and never will be. I was asking questions.

I had a situation last year when my account was restricted so I literally couldn't tip and a model asked me to keep visiting but then pretty quick we both felt awkward about it so I just keep it simple and stay away. Sometimes this is tough if the model is someone who I have enjoyed conversation with them, but I would just feel guilty soaking up her time and selfishly it is not that fun to not be able to participate

This is an interesting discussion. If a member always comes in and interacts and tips and is nice to me, if there is one day or even week when he can't afford to tip, I'll welcome him to my room because I'll enjoy the company and I know he's not a cheap freeloader. With some experience I think you can tell some things apart. It's different from members who tipped and interacted here and there and now feel entitled to your attention. Examples:

I had this guys come every day, tip like 10 tokens, those being 1tk every 15 min, and talk and talk, and dirty talk in his 1 tk tip notes, and eventually he stopped bothering and didn't even tip anymore. He was always saying "wow you're so amazing" "wow best ass in the world" - yeah dude appearantly not so amazing since you sent like 40 tokens in 3 months on me???

Yesterday another one, same type, said, "wow your last anal vid was sooo hot" - didn't buy the vid on cb (where he watches me) nor on OF (where he subs - for free mind you) so he obvs saw the preview and wanted me to go "awwww thank you sooo much". Then "your ass is soooo fine". He turned dark blue from light blue, but none of those tokens were spent in my room / ass. So how hot is my ass really (I actually said that to him)?

This other member, on the other hand, likes to come see me while he's taking a break from work, actually talks to me, tips me for my attention and is really nice to me. There are days though because of his work that he'll be online and won't interact much, and because of that I don't feel disrespected that he's not interacting/tippping - I know that he will when he can.

Here's a couple of questions and an answers in one.

Do we users get overly attached? Yes. Do we miss you when you leave? Of course.

Today my model friend announced to me that she was thinking of quitting. By evening time, the deed was done. She didn't come online to broadcast. I Whatsapp'd her to see if she was ok and she told me that she was already finished and preparing to move out. To say I'm devastated would be an understatement. Not in the romantic sense. It was never that kind of thing. I'm too much of a realist for that. But we laughed like drains all the time and I'll miss that connection. We used to have some amazing late night chats when times were slow. The truth is that she was just struggling with the downturn. I tried like a bear but I couldn't do it all by myself and too many guys were giving nothing.

We've already made the promises to keep in touch, but like I say, I'm a realist. Without the cam site as that central, regular meeting place, the reality is that communication will eventually drift and then cease.

I'm telling you guys because there is literally nobody else in my life I can tell.

Thanks to all who offered kind words. Having had a discussion with her today it seems like this is more of an industrial dispute so it may have some legs yet. Sadly it involves the roof over her head so it's a bit worrying.
