SEALs were reportedly upset at the white house talking so openly about the raid because it could expose operational tactics etc that might get SEALs killed. That was before one of them wrote a book on it without getting it checked to see if there was anything sensitive or classified that should be taken out. This guy, despite his service record, is using this to make a buck which is despicable. Anyone who's ever worked for the government knows they sign papers when they leave agreeing not to discuss anything they've done on the job without prior clearance. You really, REALLY think a DEVGRU member is going to be exempt from talking candidly about this? REALLY??
The whole point of the discussion was what SpecOps think about Obama, which is pretty clear by now.

It is a pointless point, and useless rhetoric. Is anyone really surprised that most military members usually support republicans? The military is not a representative sample of the US population. They are no better at critical thinking than the average American. They believe what they hear in the popular culture, that the republicans are better for defense. My experience and that of my late father who spent 27 years in the military, is that while the democrats are willing to cut defense spending they are generally better for the troops while the republicans are better for the military industrial complex.

So now you are posting RNC ads as some kind of proof that Obama is a bad president? Really? What would you think and Republican National Committee ad would say? I have to say this is the most asinine thing I have seen you post here. At least with Fox News they are attempting to be "fair and balanced." (They fall woefully short) If this is what this thread has turned into I can certainly post all the DNC ads here about Romney if you want some counterpoint.

A pointless point? We weren't discussing the military, it was about SpecOps. Maybe you should use some of that critical thinking and learn to pay attention to the discussion.

Once again, try to pay attention. It was in reply to LL's post highlighting how Obama has an excuse for everything while saying he doesn't make excuses.

And since when have SpecOps not been a part of the military?

Use some of that critical thinking you always talk about and you might find it.
BullFrogBlues said:Bocefish said:Did you know what the elite special forces think about Obama?
No I don't, all that you show is what four former special ops officers want. By your reasoning if 4 former ACF members did the same thing that is what ACF members want.
Nordling said:Strange turn of the thread. So, now you judge candidates by how he's liked by unique groups? So, I guess since the Teacher's Union dislikes Romney, that means we should vote for Obama? Or do you think soldiers and other military people have some kind of direct line to truth? If that were the case, no one would ever be elected but Republicans. I can guarantee that's not a winning argument.

Oh yes, as usual when you can not prove your point it is suddenly up to the other person. I can't prove a negative. :handgestures-salute:
Big whoop. To prove something that isn't a point. Again--military people tend to vote Republican. I did too for a couple years after I separated from the Navy. Eventually, ex-military get their minds back.Bocefish said:Just Me said:Bocefish said:Just Me said:When you point out where any but military SpecOps was talked about, you might have a point.

I already proved my point, I don't need to prove it twice just for you when you jump into the middle of things without going over what was posted first.

This is something I do not do. I read every post and not once was a SpecOps group outside the military ever mentioned. You jumped on my post claiming you were not discussing the military. If you are going to make a claim, the common courtesy is to back it up.

What's wrong with putting your society first? Luna and I say it and you call us socialists, but when Kennedy said "Ask not what your country can do for you - ask what you can do for your country" I expect you call it patriotism. Frankly, I don't give a damn what "ism" something is if it helps people. I don't remember anyone ever telling me selfishness was a virtue.Bocefish said:It sounds like y'all would rather live in a socialist country.

Exactly. The one person who whines constantly about OTHER people's "lack of respect" has no apparent respect for the office of the President. Of course if the President was a right winger, he'd be demanding we respect him.The_Brown_Fox said:WildFingers said:Oh, like this edumacation is a great thing Thank you
It's interesting and kinda funny watching you and Bocefish throw around slang phrases, such as 'edumacation' and 'drinking the Kool-Aid' when speaking about the president of the United States.....
Since we only have one side of this story, we really don't know the particulars of why that particular franchise failed, but we DO know that the parent company, Mr. Rooter, seems to be doing pretty well in the Great Recession:WildFingers said:Sorry this is still a point that needs to be thought of prior to your voting. I don't like dealing in plumbing issues. I prefer to pay someone else to deal with the excrement, You would think that a plumbing business would be recession proof.
At the start of 2010 Mr. Rooter Plumbing was included in the 2nd Annual "AllBusiness AllStar Franchises" list.[2] The "AllBusiness AllStar Franchises" list is compiled by Dun & Bradstreet's subsidiary AllBusiness.com, and ranks the top 300 franchises in the United States.
