30 Second Freebie

First off Streamate has been my highest earning sight by far since I’ve been back and I more so just want I to vent to someone that isn’t my boyfriend and understands lol. Why do they allow this 30 second freebie ?!? it was like this when I left 4 years ago and I’m assuming not one single model on the site likes the feature so clearly they don’t care and it’s not going away anytime soon but that paired with zero control over someone taking us private is absurd.

I like how the exclusive plays out, with a 10 second timer to accept or deny. But when I’m in the middle of discussing a block session or a gold show with a room count of 20+ and BOOM some freeloader pops in takes me for a 30 second private. Knows it’s free. Clears my entire room. Ruins the potential block session I was discussing and then takes off at 29 seconds. And I can do nothing about it. Who does this help? Not the models. Not Streamate. Why is this a thing It happened over 5 times tonight and I finally had it and logged off because of it.

No other site does this, they pay the second they take you. And even if that was the case I want the option to say no. Why would I say yes to a random when I’ve spent 5 minutes wheeling in a whale. This cost me a lot of money tonight and I’m just extremely frustrated.

I’m thinking the only way I can combat this is to make exclusive lower and private like 25$/minute in hopes it scares everyone away so that never happens

I do not like it and feel EXACT frustrations. I’ve started to just try as hard as I can to not get too much going on in the first 30 seconds now but it is hard because you think a) try to keep them interested and if don’t get to “action” they may leave sooner but then b) if they were gonna leave earlier they would have so i just try to tease ... maybe just take the bra off slowly etc but not jump into any hardcore anything until after 30 second mark. But not always easy for me to be completely honest ! There are members who definitely abuse this feature , when they do i make a note in their name (all you can do) about it, I report to SM (don’t think they care) and when I see that person again on another day I decide to maybe block or kick etc but feels like a ton of homework to do to just try to prevent it from happening and even if you block one of them there is a sea of 29 second dudes abusing this rule so my only solution is basically : don’t really start the show until 31 seconds . Just my thoughts maybe not necesssrily correct or best actions and appreciate better suggestions

What I don't understand is, even if you are about to nut, why waste anyone's time by starting a free 30 second show just to try and see boobs/ass (or whatever you need to nut).. why not just use google and get an image, I mean, if 30 seconds is all you need, it's only a quick visual you clearly want.. i don't understand these people.


As a user, I truly don't understand this either.
I guess I can understand it from a "connection" perspective for legit reasons, to make sure all is well in the pvt show then you can continue and spend the money, but surely you can determine this from watching a model in public.

THIS!!!! -- You took the thoughts right out of my head!! I've even tried "Oh I'm so sorry xyz I was about to do a block with someone" and they'll reply "oh sorry" and then sit there till 29 seconds, by the time i'm back the whole room is gone. I also tell guys when i'm doing my Goldshow counts because you know, that's when everyone wants to say they'd love a block lol "I'd love to do a more personal show with you but it'll have to be after my Goldshow or count down" and they spend the entire count trying to convince me to cancel it and if it doesn't go through and I say "XYZ i'm free for the block!" 9/10 times they leave instantly. I think you hit the nail on the head, they know what they're doing and they get off on fucking with our money. I do NOTHING in 30 seconds unless the customer talked to me first then I'll make sure to be in just panties and a handbra at 15 seconds and as soon as it hits thirty * release the Kraken * out come the boobs and right into the show we go lol. Personally though I don't like this either, in a perfect world we could trust the guys we spent time planning a show with and i'd have no problem starting right away and not delaying but because of this feature i'm stuck.

Either way, saying "i'm sorry I was just about to do xyz" or "sorry i'm only doing Goldshows right now I was just about to start a countdown" does not make them exit until 29 seconds and if I try and roll with it "Hey babe what kind of show were you looking for?" they don't respond and I just stare at them waiting for something -- all in all nothing good comes from randoms being able to take us private in my opinion. I'm glad/sad to see others agree -- it's frustrating when we all have a shared concern and are ignored. But i'm thankful I found this place and can vent without hearing " babe you make way more than any other job " I know that sir, but I still don't deserve to be fucked with just because someone can. I even had someone do the 29 second exit and then call me a time wasting bitch who only cares about money. LOL of course, i'm at work, they want to be paid when working too. Rant complete

I do agree with you, you want to see who you're buying time with, but as you said this can be determined in public chat. I stand up regularly, my hips and up are always in view, and it's only 3$ to have me stand or 5$ for a 7 min Goldshow buy in so there's many cheap options to see what my body looks like that also are much more effective as they never get to see what they're after for free in those 30 seconds anyways lol.

Yes, it is annoying as Hell. Like you said you put in the effort, build up your room, have a bunch of people asking about longer shows, and ready to bite. Then one silent asshole, that no one knows, and who wasn't adding anything to the room does it. Personally, at 25-29 secs I start doing something sexy like starting to take my shirt off, or saying something really wild, then the majority of them fuck up and stay for 32 or 35 seconds. It's not much, but its something. Then if they get charged for a really high rate for 1 minute, because they did that accidentally, then they are unlikely to come back or continue to do it with models who have a premium set high. It's the only solace I get, and surprisingly often it totally works hehe.

Not only are they messing with the models, but some guys might be doing it to spite other members. Especially if they see some guy working toward a private show, or even just getting more positive attention from the model than they are. They might be starting a 30-second private just to screw with the other member(s).

This has happened a few dozen times to me and I swear it’s like a mini orgasm beating them at their own game It’s sad we have to resort to this but we have to level the playing field somehow. My rates were 13.99/15.99 and I’ve been going quite well with those, I do mostly goldshows and then my privates come from the high tippers of those shows who want 1:1 which is why it’s so annoying to me because I’m 9/10 times talking to a member I know likes me enough to tip 50 gold into my show so I know is actually going to take me for a block annnnd then they go away when the 30 second dork comes in. I just made my exclusive 12.99 and my private 20$ I think MAYBE this might make them leave me alone lol 1 second too late and boom 20$ for nothing at all.
I think if anyone actually wants a legit show they’ll just opt for the cheaper exclusive which yes they can still get me for the 29 second bs but at least I can say no if I’m doing something. — feeling smart as f over here right now

In this thread I will contribute appreciation for both y'all's decisions on how to deal with this. For some reason I haven't had much of a problem with this lately, possibly due to the kind of discourse I hold -- maybe just I'm not online long enough.

I have decided on a campaign recently where when a rando invites me to exclusive without free chatting first, I just deny it. Usually they just don't come back, but today I was able to explain to someone why I did it when they came back like an hour later and they were very understanding.

It seems like whenever a rando invites me to exclusive it's like because they think they are beautiful and want to show off for 30 [paid] seconds (see losing out on full room of true customers) OR more frequently they tell me to do something against TOS. LOL no.

Kinda wondering if that's a problem with anyone else, maybe raising my prices would prevent that *looks for another thread to read about prices* *also reads @EliMarie717 's kindly reposted thread on this subject.*

I think the 30 seconds is wrong because they already can talk for hours in free chat why they would need the 30 seconds? In my 30 second i dont do anything i dont even stand up , and then in private we get all the time the 30 seconds come up thats is very bad , i like to get pay per second since the begging and i am sure streamate would benefit more from that, as its very rarelly when we get 2 guys in our room stay for the show they just come for the 30 seconds

This is exactly what I did 2 years ago and I only lower the pvt price to be exactly the same as pvt when I'm trying to work a pvt day depending on traffic.

Oh my god reading this thread was so therapeutic!! I don't do anything until after the 30 second mark, unless it's someone I know/someone that's been talking. If someone gives off the vibe that they're gonna leave in 30 seconds (aka like you guys said, the ones that don't talk in the room at all and then don't say anything in the private) I try to mess with them a little by just asking if they can see and hear me over and over again, getting progressively more obnoxious and loud. It feels so good when they leave knowing that all they got to jerk to was my face up close to the camera going, "hey can you see me? can you hear me? can you SEEE AND HEEARR ME???" over and over again.

Not only are they messing with the models, but some guys might be doing it to spite other members. Especially if they see some guy working toward a private show, or even just getting more positive attention from the model than they are. I discussed (in private chat) doing an anal show for extra money with a customer who tipped and then we started a premium. While in premium another costumer comes in and starts barking at both of us what we should be doing / asking who has the bigger cock etc. This person definitely had some negative energy and I am unable to block them until they return again to my free chat. This person was definitely trying to screw with both a model and a member. Very rude energy all around.

In the first 30 sec I usually ask what they want, if it wasn't previously discussed and I take my time with that until the 30sec mark to ensure they aren't getting a "free show" and are serious. I particularly like that because it builds the interaction with that person in hopes to be memorable enough for them to make a connection and want to come back, and also to know they are serious and not just getting a free look at you.
On the other hand, if I already have an idea of what they are looking for in the pvt show, I usually tease them for those 30 sec and keep the communication going, ask them what they are doing right that moment, etc.

For me at least and my viewers, I find communication and dirty talk is an aspect you can use to your advantage to peak their interest initially and to 'pass' some of the time without seeming like you're wasting anyone's time. I find some performers give too much right away or for free, or expect a lot without giving their viewers anything in return to entice them. This also hurts those of us who don't give it all away because it becomes an expectation to some viewers. It's very much like sales, you need to "play the game" and know how much to give in order to receive imo.

Some of the other girls showed me where they tried to bring this to the attention of a Streamate rep and her response was "they're our big spenders" I've never rolled my eyes so hard lol. The only thing i've found to combat this, and all you really can do is raise your private more than exclusive I think that's what a lot of models are doing now. My private right now is 15.99 but if I get atleast 2 of these idiots in a night I max it at 20 and exclusive is 13. If it's any consolation I promise it makes your soul happy when they do this at 31 seconds and get bing'd for 20 bucks and you get 7$ for 31 seconds lol.

I changed my whole private show and no longer do penetration or even full nudity. I stand by my computer and mark EVERY single loser who does this. Very few of them have EVER paid me a cent. SM is full of shit. I manage to keep people in pvt with just teasing and dirty talk maybe a BJ tease. It is a very small percentage of my income and I hate it. It is so stupid because if they didn't offer a repeat of the free or more than 10-15 seconds I wouldn't mind. I wish I could pull up more than one guys notes at a time. I make more money in private then I used to but I think it is because I work more, different hours, better dirty talk, etc.

If it’s any consolation to you, I haven’t read anything in this thread that was surprising to me or particularly revealing in a “they didn’t mean to say that publicly” sorta way. And even if I did, who cares? I’m a just one member.

But this does add fuel to my imagination that there is some incredibly epic member-bashing going on behind the Models Only wall, so that’s… fun.
