I assume you're adorned with PvP gear for WG fishing? Or do you really just roll into raids like that? :D

As my offhand suggests, the last time I logged on was during Noblegarden. I think this is my shield. Possibly the heroic version, since I did do H Gunship once. But I'm pretty sure it's just the regular.

I do miss him... But I'm not sure if I'll ever get back to WoW.

Edit: I also just noticed that I have my Super Simian Sphere on. I was probably having some fun. This should be where that is

Looks like Id have to restart my account again for you kids to see my profile. So i'll post it when cataclysm comes out :-D

I stopped playing in October. Raided on my rogue had practically everything I wanted out of Ulduar and a sprinkle of an item or two from that one place with the champions and the things, i can't even remember what it was called.
 
Hmm... Your prot spec is weird. You have points in Benediction, but no points in Vindication. And you have full points in Reckoning. I know I haven't played since March, but I can't see how things could have changed so much that Vindication isn't required and Reckoning isn't bad. And why Benediction? There is NO reason you should be OOM. Ever.

And Glyph of Judgment? WTF man?

Bah my character's been inactive for over a year so I guess they removed it from armory :(
I was getting all nostalgic though so I dug up a couple screenies of my hunter

Resentfully running guild alts through TOC 10 :p


First hunter on US realms to reach 100% armor pen, almost certainly best geared hunter in US realms when I quit...heroic death's choice, deathbringer's will, 25 man t10 2 piece, heroic 25 t9 4 pc, heroic hellion glaive, heroic waistguard of deathly dominion, heroic bracers of the silent massacre, heroic charge of the eredar, algalon ring, icecrown exalted ring, everything socketed armor pen marks hunter. The fact that I can remember most of that shit off the top of my head kind of worries me.

Fuck I took that game way too seriously, I get maudlin about it sometimes but I feel like I kicked an addiction.

The guild I was in is the top ranked horde guild in the US, 8th in the world (Blood Legion), and it was like having a second job, where you get yelled at if you fuck up or don't perform perfectly. I'd pull 11k dps in icecrown and get a lecture that it should be higher and my rotation must be out and then have to spend an hour (after raiding for 6) discussing my combat log parses with the hunter officer...sweet jesus...

Wow hunter gear now looks kinda bizarre...

Edit: wow wtf it shows all my gems as crit gems on that link lol?
 
Yes, after you stopped playing they took armor pen out of the game as a stat. Arp gems were turned into crit gems. We aslo do not use mana anymore we have focus that works like a rogues energy.

Yeah I remember they announced they were gonna take out arp and change mana to 'focus' at blizzcon a couple years back. I was so annoyed, they said arp was too "confusing and mathy". WTF??

I can only presume they're talking about when arp had higher or lower returns per point compared to other stats, depending on the level of those stats....but that was the same with agil, ap, crit....any stat had a differing return per point depending on your build and level of gear. Agil was worth 2.2 x 1 ap for a wide range of hunter gear, sometimes more, sometimes less. But as your crit increases past a certain point the benefit of agil compared to ap steadily decreased, until at my gear level it was like 1.9 or something so in fact it was worse to have an item with 10 agil than 20 ap. Whereas for most other hunters the agil was definitely superior. My point being all stats have increasing and diminishing rates of return depending on your other stats and arp was no different.

The only people who would have found it confusing were people who didn't run high end raiding physical dps classes and basically - if you didn't know how arp worked you didn't need to know.

It was really really nice, for once, when your other stats were already getting diminishing returns, to actually have a stat at the top end of gear that had (until 100%/1436 rating or somesuch) increasing returns.

It makes perfect and beautiful sense that the more damage you're outputting, some of which is mitigated by armour, the more increase you will get per % of armor that you take out of the picture.

I bet they nerfed the hell out of crit too, cos when I quit, with only the level of gear that was out in jan 2010 I was somewhere around 55-56% crit - with raid buffs I was pushing like 65% and from talents most of my specials like chim and aimed and steady were like 80-95%.

And focus..yeah I wasnt happy with that either. I'd be interested to hear how it turned out ingame. I guess I was scared I'd end up energy starved like rogues, whereas no raiding hunter with sufficient raidwide buffs ever really had much problem with mana. I'd end most fights at 75%+.

IMO they ruined Org. It's overly busy looking (not people, just the design) and confusing as all fuck. Too big and overdone.
 
It's like saying the dow-jones index is "too confusing and mathy" so we're going to replace it with the Dollar Score (brought to you by McDonalds, I'm lovin' it.).
