I am sorry, but I just need to vent over this. 6-18tks, 30-42tks, 60-72tks and 90+tks per minute are now the ways to search for PVT show costs.

I have had a TON of idiots coming into my room complaining about my price per minute. Who at CB thought it was a great is to put the PVT shows into a lump category system?! The cheap fucks looking for 6 per minute are getting pissed because mine is set to 18. You have tags for every damn thing under the sun, but you cannot sort PVT shows by one price anymore? Good Lord, add it back in please!

When girl accepts pvt the account stays on the page it was on. So say if the girl was on the front page everyone can see that they are in pvt.

No, the room is removed from the public pages and put on the private shows page. Vixen is right about that. That is why the room loses a lot of viewers when model goes to private, I mean most of the viewers are anons from CB advertising on porn sites and the model gets removed from that
You will never see any room with the below image on any public page, only the private show pages which you seem to think is only for spies to see who they can spy on

Are you running any userscripts that change CB default settings?

I ask because I think that would be the only way to see that . I have checked on 4 different browsers and do not see any rooms that are in a private on the main pages, only on the private shows pages

I did think that at first but nope. Tried cb on phone and yeah pvt don't show like it does on my computer. Ran a virus scan and got rid of a few bugs that Ive managed to picked up. Going to wipe and start computer from scratch to be on safe side, it's not like I've got anything important on it.

IF CB wants to get rid off 6tk users then easy.. minimum pvt 18 per min end of the story. But as 6tk are still available so..... that just made more user going on tour from room to room.

What it comes down to is that some sex workers have contempt for sex work consumers. And that's what I'm getting from reading many of these threads. Sure sex work is not a necessity, that goes without saying but the fact you felt it should be said belies the contempt. 6/min pvts allow me to tip more extra without spending as much. I tip more than 18/min pvt, maybe as much as 30/min in extra tips but I like for that to be a show of appreciation. I enjoy tipping extra to show that appreciation. If i were in a 30/min pvt, I would not be able to show the same appreciation. The contempt and taboo around sex work will never go away when sex workers themselves have an antagonistic and derisive attitude toward a large part of their consumer base.

Also, contempt for sex workers. Most people work to survive. If I was rich, I wouldn't work the job I have now. I make a good living and won't say what I make but if it were hourly, I pay more in sex work than I make hourly. Someone doing sex work to survive does not make them less than someone doing sex work to afford extra avocado on their toast.



The second post was a model telling another that 18/min was too low. There have been plenty of models telling others that they are charging too low.

IMO it kind of depends on how you run the pvt, like if 6 or 18 tok is just the price for the pvt room and then the member needs to tip for what they want to see in pvt it's entirely possible that a model can earn more at 6 tokens a minute than 60 tokens a minute in the same amount of time. I think the bigger issue is making sure that members understand what is included or expected within a pvt show since we all know no one reads anything.

18 tokens is too low. Less than a dollar a minute is really bad. The only site i've seen that encourage this low level of tipping is XCams.
For a cheap private show 30 tokens is great and earns $45 for a 30 minute show which I think is more than reasonable. Consider some members will pay 500+ tokens just for 5 minute toy control which comes out at $25.

One thing you can do @Highlander884 is provide a reminder that the private show cost isn't 6 tokens if you want to stick to the lower 12 > 18 token rates. For e.g. a note in your rules or an announcement when a user joins. It's very easy to make a bot that does this or use a bot that provides this functionality

$3 above min. wage for one person can be double that of someone else in another country (Colombia for example)

For better or worse, that's the way the free market works.

I have always found it strange that when my PVT is set to 60 or 72, I get more PVT inquiries than when set to 6, 12 or 18. Several times I have never understood this.

I don't think they did it to get rid of those rates, it was also done for 30 - 42 I beleive, but I do also doubt they will revert it

Yup. Private is private. Just because members may think that us keeping our clothes on and chatting with a guy one-on-one in private is "easier" (and it's actually not easier imo) doesn't mean we should only earn 30 cents to 90 cents per minute. We are still giving a member our time and full attention, and answering all kinds of personal questions.

Now if I wanted to use a cam site voyeur feature that allows members to pay a rate to watch me do everyday things (relax in bed and watch a good horror movie on Hulu or whatever) without having to interact with them at all, well hey, now we're talking! And of course I'd absolutely be fine with a much lower rate. I'm not sure about 6 tokens per minute, but I think 18 tokens/minute for that would be great. .

An electrician or any other hourly worker will normally have a minimum charge of an hour though (and generally charges in 1 hour blocks) so it's not really comparable, if a job takes him 5 mins he still makes the $33.21 and not the $2.75 he would charging by the minute, so in that case the per minute rate would be $6.64 not 55c.
