What volume of PMs do you get???

I'm curious as to your volume of PMs? I hear some models telling people to stop pming.

I rarely PM, unless it's something I don't want to say in public (like when a model's amazon wishlist had her real name and address).

Too bloody many! And they all just say 'hi'. I used to have a auto reply saying I prefer to chat in my room and don't PM me just to say hi, and I'd have some numpties PMing saying hi, then having a convo with my auto reply! And it takes the piss when no one is chatting to me in my room and no one has for ages and it's obvious, then some idiot comes along and PMs me to say hi, grr, why couldn't they say that in the room, pfft.
Since when is hi a PRIVATE message anyway!! Never knew saying hello was such a big secret, I'll have to remember to whisper it next time I see a neighbour or someone I know!

And of that 12, 10 of them is chit-chat with regulars who are actually having chats that perhaps wouldn't be appropriate for public, and *2* of them are new viewers genuinely interested in negotiating a private.

Although my friend list has grown quite a lot in recent months, I try to keep it under control. With my PM limited, I still juggle between 10-15 a night.

When my PM wasn't limited, it would be upwards of 50. And like LL said, I'd only end up replying to a few of them. I close any that just say "hi" or something that could be said in public chat. Hell, there are still PMs I get with the PM limit that I end up ignoring/closing because they're just idle chit chat that should be said in public.

So... if you notice your message to me being ignored... maybe that's why. TALK IN PUBLIC!

I hate PMs!!!!!!!!!! I wish everything took place in public chat or MFC mail for me to respond to at my liking. People think just because they sent something private I have to respond to it immediately because if I dont I get like 12 "PM" "MFC MAIL" messages from them in my room

Each model has to pick what she is comfortable with PM wise just as each premium can choose what room environment he likes. Some guys have certain things they just aren't comfortable saying in public (I don't mean "hello"). I unfortunately am one of those guys that needs pm access. I will say I also don't mind when a PM sits for 45 minutes cause a model is working. I have stopped visiting a couple models over the last year that decided they would take no pm's while on cam. I don't think they are wrong but it doesn't work for me. Just my 2 cents.

I used to get as many as 200+ each time I was on, but it's also a game I found out that members are playing, called "PM WARS" to try and distract the model for attention seeking purposes and because they tipped so now they feel they can just start talking to her on PM the entire rest of the show. I have yelled a few times "OMG who is PM'ing me, please tell me on the wall because I can't see it as it is minimized and I dont want to sit and answer them unless it is an emergency during certain parts of my show. I hate to sit down as it gives me anxiety unless I am done with first half of show and doing the second part which is the talk show and that is when I try and answer them, also I toggle in between shows and set it to PM from Friends Only!!! Problem Solved....

I honestly think that they should be something that comes with the font change and such when you hit 1000 reward points. I do not like to be one of those models you see looking at the screen typing, even for a few moments, because you never know who is popping in or out... I like to be entertaining the whole time, not sitting and typing. that is the only thing that i liked on streamate... there is nothing more irritating to me that legs spread eagle Hitachi in hand and seeing ALEXA PM... and its to say something like non life threatening... 90% of the guys on there abuse every privledge they get on that sight.

I had open PMs for a while but got asked too much stupid shit, or just the "hi". I made it friends list only and my peeps are definitely not abusive with their PM priviledges. So it's cool.

I get about 10-20 PMs when I'm on, depending on who else is on as well.

I usually get between 25-40 pm's a nite but I don't charge for friend add/PM privileges so thats why its so high. I think I do a good job maintaining them and my chatroom at the same time though. But I also make it clear in my room rules that I'll outright ignore anything consisting of - "mmmmmmmmmmmmm", "look at my cock/cam bb", or "hi, *insert question that can be answered by reading my profile*

I've just decided due to the stupid amount of PMs I get when I have them open for anyone, and the fact that when I have them set to friends only i get randoms asking me to add them to friends just so they can go 'mmmmmmmm'/look at my cock bb/hi/u look sexy (delete as applicable), that I am for the first time setting some rules for my friends list. I'm hoping that it works. I've updated my profile to tell people that they can either make friends with me by hanging out in my room when I'm on on a regular basis and showing that they're genuine by contributing to the chat and shows...or they can bypass the time and effort involved by tipping me 100 tokens and get added straight away. I'm hoping that sorts the wheat from the chaff and ceases the amount of people being added to my friends list whom I have only ever seen once in my room and may not ever see again.

It's a difficult line to walk running our rooms on MFC. On the one hand, you don't want to alienate people who could become a valid part of your regular crew and have a laugh, but there has to be some way of cutting out timewasters and asshats...I figure that 100 tokens is high enough to put off anyone who would be part of the second lot *crosses fingers hopefully*

The amount I get totally varies but generally it is too many. I sometimes have it set so anyone can PM me and then when I start getting backed up with messages I set it to friends only. I set my pm's to anyone. I still get people who want me to add them to my friends list. Why? I'm not one for talking when I'm not being approached by the other person, with a few exceptions.

Too many PMs!!!! It's just sooooo hard to keep multiple conversations going in PMs while keeping the room's conversation going. I love the occasional PM from friends, but I appreciate even more when people chat in my room and help keep the momentum going. I think the guys I enjoy PMing with the absolute most are the ones who help cover for me when I'm responding to them in PM by helping keep the room conversation going. It shows they really understand what is going on and that they want to help me.

Thankfully on SV I only get maybe 2 or 3 PMs a night since anons can't PM and most members enjoy talking in public chat. I have a feeling though the PM abusers will eventually find SV and wreck that, lol.
