I'm new to the forum but i wanted to share what i find very annoying. I used to be a reg in a models room, she did countdowns like most people, usually low member traffic(she struggled to keep 200 ppl in the room), but still had rather high camscore, some highrollers ect.ect. But she had a raging temper.

When she finished a countdown she used to announce it via newsfeed to flock people, totally normal. And of course beggars and general a**holes came rushing when the newsfeed was posted. And with them came the general stupid crap they say and post.
She would start the show and the trolls would troll(can troll be used as a verb?)But instead of pleasuring herself and doing the show, she started answering the trolls and get her self worked up and mad to the point that she ''rage quited'' from several shows(i.e more than 4 that i saw) untill the next day with a new topic and with only a dry ''sorry'' as apology. And well after that i lost all intrest in her and her room.

I know you models have to put up with alot of stupid and frankly inexcusable shit from us members and bless you all who can handle the trolls and still focus on the good guys, but her behaviour really bugs me. Some of her other regs accepted it as her way. But i mean we would finish around two(naked and cumshow) countdowns about 5-6K total, and then she just rage quits on us. i could accept it once or twice, but i learned from her regs that its happend ever since she started. I MFC mailed her and suggested having a little lower countdown for group or a private, but she wanted to generate traffic to her room and shows in public get more ppl. I've never seen anyone else do something like that, is it something that happens normally?

Well that turned out longer than i suspected
tl:dr models that rage quits out of show because of trolls

Oh God, this. There was one model in particular who used to do this all the time (maybe the same girl you're talking about) and I think it was just that she had one of those personalities where she could not let ANYTHING go. (She did the same thing on Twitter, answering every troll and following with a dozen rage tweets about it). If you feel you can't function unless you tell off every single troll to the point that it disrupts the room, maybe you don't have the temperament for camming.

Agreed! If you're going to have a career on the internet, you should know how to handle trolls (ignoring or blocking them), or you're not cut out for an internet career.

My little speeches are almost always 100% in defense of my regulars being EXPECTED to do it all and me refusing to let them continue picking away at it without any assistance.

I appreciate this kind of thing so much! Maybe I need to start a thread called "What is the Most Awesome Thing a Model Can Do?" :)

One night I started banning premiums bc for aaaages I had a whole load of lurkers who refused to contribute to a count that my regs had carried. So when there were 5 tokens left I instructed my regs to stop tipping. I gave the non-reg freeloaders ample warning that if one of them didn't clear the 5 tokens, then all of them would be banned. (Anyone who was a reg got to stay, even if they couldn't tip that night.) I offered to let the freeloading lurker prems split up this massive sum of 5 tokens among multiple people. No dice. So I started banning them! I warned everyone new who came in the room before I banned them. My regs loved it, and before too long a new guy tipped 500tk and we got our show. I wouldn't do this on a regular basis, but it was fun that night and a good stress reliever for the whole room. :thumbleft:

Oh, also? I let my regs know "X til rent is paid" in my room topic along with show goals, etc, at the end of almost every single month. It gives them something solid to contribute to on top of show goals, and reminds everyone that I can't continue to do this every night as a full time job unless I can also pay my rent from it. My guys know when they help with the rent/show goal that they're getting a great combo of contributing to something very important for me and sexytimes to boot! I am very lucky to have a group of amazing, awesome, sweet regulars who care about me and want me to succeed.

I don't expect Hollywood A-List levels of acting in videos, but I wish models would at least look as if they're enjoying their vids. Recently picked up a G/G vid of someone who I've spoken with for ages and the other model, who has been on MFC for 2 years, had a face that basically read "Look at me, I'm licking a vagina. Are you happy now?"

Was pretty unwatchable.

See, that's what keeps me from buying videos, and even frequenting models who sell videos. I figure I'll be disappointed, and that disappointment would carry over to my chat-room interactions with the model. In all my time on MFC I've only paid for one video, and that was from an ACF model I never visited. Mercifully, she never delivered the video, so I was spared disappointment.

I said something about this exact thing in another thread once, and how exasperating it was to watch a camgirl (who definitely was *not* going for the "bitchy domme" thing) get pissy and interact with every. single. troll., and got all sorts of snippy "it's her hustle, don't judge her" hellfire for it. :icon-rolleyes:

The same goes for interacting with trolls/haters/instigating melodrama on Twitter. Just UGHHHHH STAAAAHHHHPPPPP.

In other words; pick the models you purchase videos from the same way you pick models to hang out with.

Can agree on the counterpoint. I purchased this one based on a model I did enjoy hanging out with being in it. They teamed with another model who I hadn't visited, but was easy on the eye, and it was the other model that really brought the mood down in it.

Some do overdeliver, but for others the whole thing looks like a chore. If I wanted to watch someone looking miserable whilst having sex, I'd start dating again.

I totally agree! Almost all the girls on MFC list "bisexual" on their profile, and I know not that many really are. Fake bisexualism/lesbianism really irks me! I really am bisexual and have been in relationships with women, and it's irritating when girls pretend they're into other girls when they're really not. I don't think most men give a shit if camgirls are bisexual or straight, as long as they like guys. And yeah, it's so obvious whether or not a girl is enjoying herself during a g/g video or if she's just doing it for money.

Models not controlling their rooms.

I posted about guys fighting in the annoying members thread.

The other side is, when guys fight and models don't do shit about it.

It's your fucking room. Tell the assholes to stfu.

I watched a very popular model not do anything about a fight in her room. There was one guy being a total asshat troll to another member. He was also a big tipper in her room, so when people ask her to put the smack down she kept playing dumb. "What? I didn't see him say anything? What did he say?" It was just really really sad.

another great reason why i think showing *some* form of preview (beyond a tiny screenshot) is helpful.

I know this is a bitch-bitch-bitch thread but sometimes reading this thread makes me so paranoid. It'd be *really* helpful if when bitching about something people were able to add something constructive to help models know how *specifically* we can avoid making these mistakes.

Example: I hate when i get disappointing vids!

Adding "so it'd be really awesome if a model shows previews of vids in chat, or has small preview clips available or a sample vid..."

It really helps when you tell us how to fix the problems we create for members sometimes.

(obviously does not apply to things like "i hate it when models are scam artists.." cos you know, the constructive thing there would be "DONT BE A SCAM ARTIST")

I do also want to say that while I'm firmly bisexual (as in.. date girls.. sometimes..) there are situations where I thought the chemistry would be better but its just *not* for whatever reason. It can be really hard to get around this... so just because a video has weirdness in it does not automatically mean the girl is not bisexual. I have a few vids ive retired because watching them back one or both of us was just 'off'.

Will agree with the previews, and take your point on constructive criticism even if that's not really in keeping with the thread subject. But the thing that then gets annoying is that, in most cases, if a suggestion is made people are then told not to tell camgirls how to do their jobs!

I can't see the situation being anything other than lose/lose in those circumstances.

Isn't this entire thread about how 'not to do your jobs'

I think when its phrased as "I find it SO annoying when camgirls do this and I don't visit those camgirls or buy their stuff. If they were to do x y z I'd be much more inclined to visit them", personally I don't find this any more annoying than I find this thread. It's the person stating a personal preference about what kinds of things they personally dislike/like in camgirls... that can actually be really helpful.

I think camgirls mostly get annoyed when people make blanket statements about what we 'should' do.
Example: "camgirls should just show video previews! i don't understand why they dont"
Girls will respond with "dont tell me how to do my job" because they may have other reasons for not showing previews. They may have big concerns with piracy, or feel that they dont like to give away ANYTHING for free.

However, when you just say "I buy more vids from models who show previews because its helpful to know what I'm getting"
or "i buy more vids from models who price low because I feel like I'm getting a better deal/less risk"
or "i buy more vids from models who price high because i feel like it will be a quality product"
That's just a personal statement about your personal buying habits and if anyone jumps down your throat about that, i'll kick their butt. Srsly.

when someone makes statements like the personal ones i made above, it empowers me.. because I now know specifically how I might attract your tokens. It's market research. I can then make a decision if doing the things you LIKE is something that fits well for my brand/marketing/comfort levels...

I should just mention I wasn't aiming this specifically at you - just this thread in general. :)

I realize it's NOT the point of this thread to be constructive. I guess I just wish it was.

I understood wasn't aimed at me, don't worry! I agree with your wording, and have previously worded such statements in that way. It's all down to interpretation with those statements, no matter how they are worded. From my own experience of offering constructive feedback, I've always just had the "Don't tell me how to do my job line", which I then interpret as "I don't care what you think". Also fine, but then does lead me elsewhere.

It's a case of trying to find the flexibility. I can understand models not wanting to give things away for free, but selling someone a bad product is likely to put them off making future purchases. Other edge of the coin is a bad preview could also put them off, at which point I could see a model would believe they have lost out twice there. I'd like to disagree with that, as I cannot remember for the life of me rewatching a preview of anything I've disliked.

Needs more balance!

Eh, don't know if it's so much a bitch-bitch-bitch thread than it is "This are the things MY ultimate camgirl would not do."

I mean, I've read through quite a bit of this and most of it (except for the most aggregious), I'm not really that concerned about. I've posted my pet peeve at least twice. It's pretty self-explanatory and easily correctable.

Paranoia is helpful in some situations, in this one? No quite sure it's advantageous.

Related:

Once saw a really well known/successful camgirl who had been on mfc for at least a year (she was definitely experienced with camming) let this guy say the most horrid things..telling her to kill herself, saying he hoped she was sexually assaulted, starting fights with members etc and everyone one was asking her to ban him...

Her response was that she had never banned anyone and wasnt banning him because she "would feel bad"

I mean I know she is successful for a reason and that probably didnt happen a whole lot in her room but I was shocked that that was her reasoning and that she was letting it go :?

I've seen that in alot of models rooms, all kinds of models. And it not only annoys me but it also makes me sad. Not only does it make guys like me to not want to come back, but she's also willing to take the abuse or let the a-hole wreak havoc in the room. And its usually really sweet models who do it, models that i would love to comeback and talk to, but when they lets stuff like that go on then most likely I wont.

I've tried to tip some models to ban a-holes like that and i get all kinds of reactions from raging ''who the fuck do you think you are? Trying to decide who i ban and don't ban :angry4: '' to ''I don't like banning, i feel everyone should be able to talk  ''. I don't know, maybe the a-holes are big ninja tippers and they tip the models to be able to be a-holes, but when they let basics do it then I just face palm hard enough to split atoms.

And partly due to losers signing up just to slam a model and never post again.

As far as videos, this is not just ass-kissing, but Amber does a great job! She adds nice, clear screencaps; the size; time; resolution; codec used; and a brief description. And everyone I have purchased has lived up to what she stated. Lily and Jolene both do a great job in previews, and while I haven't bought any, the way they are presented, MAKES me want to buy them.

This is not surprising, because they show the same amount of dedication & preparation for their live cams. I believe this is a conscious decision. Do you want to sell videos based solely on your "reputation"? Or on your reputation AND because you are proud of your quality product?

***Note: there are many others here who do a good job on presenting their videos (like the C4Sale stores), these 3 came from the top of my head. ;)

I wanted to give my opinion on this. I am only speaking for myself here and not anyone else but I think it's unwise to ever tip a model with a request to ban someone. I just don't think that is fair to the model. (I am not referring to a model that may encourage this as a type of room game) I prefer to simply let the model run her own room. It's her decision who stays and who goes period. Now I will admit that sometimes the guy in me wants to "save" these poor damsels in distress from the mean old trolls but in reality most any female who has enough courage and strength to be a cam model certainly doesn't need my help with a troll. She is already a strong enough person who is more then capable of taking care of herself. And maybe not banning but rather simply ignoring a troll is showing much more strength then banning them would. I also wouldn't be shocked to know that some guys are getting off by forcing a model to ban them. That's just my :twocents-02cents:

Not annoying but I've always found the "tip to ban a basic" thing kinda weird. I get that some guys enjoy doing it but it just seems boring and mean spirited to me. Like really? Thats what were doing in this room? Can I at least tip for something sexy or entertaining or are we just banning basics? Not fun to chill in rooms that are doing this, unless you enjoy banning basics I guess.

THIS! Especially coming from a newbie who doesn't know me or my room well enough yet to understand my personality or sense of humor.
I have a very tongue in cheek, slightly "frat boy" sense of humor and way of socializing. My friends and I all pick on each other and give each other shit. Every once in a while somebody will stumble into my MFC room who just doesn't understand or like that sense of humor and start wielding insults at my pals... thus putting themselves in the 'asshole who's getting banned' boat. If some newbie stumbled into my room and tipped me to ban someone without actually KNOWING me, they would at least get a very stern talking to about how to sit down and face the front.

Pretty much every model I've seen do this makes it entertaining, with little speeches and flashes or whatever r0ght after they ban the person. As I have said I target basics who have been basics for years, many of them getting banned have been on MFC longer than anybody in this thread. I have no sympathy for anybody who watch MFC on semi regular basis, went through the trouble of making a basic account and still remains a basic 6 month or longer. There are two primary ways of motivating behavior; the carrot and the stick.. The carrot has failed for these people. I figured there are three reason people remain basics, they are minors, they don't have jobs, or they think everything on the internet should be free. In none of these cases are we doing those people or society at large a favor by letting the watch free live shows forever.

Sophie Locke recently posted on her twitter/tumblr an account of a long-time Basic who was banned during her ban a basic game. The guy got so pissed of about being banned that upgraded to premium just to send Sophie a MFC email complaining about being banned. As Sophie said you got to count that as win even if he tips some other model with his 200 tokens.

Not annoying but I've always found the "tip to ban a basic" thing kinda weird. I get that some guys enjoy doing it but it just seems boring and mean spirited to me. Like really? If you call Sophia "Sophie" one more time I'm going to punch you in the ear.

Also I know MANY good tipping premium members who like to lurk on long standing basic accounts when they "browse" new models. LOT'S of those basic accounts also have premium accounts. I don't really understand it but I do know it's a thing.

I don't do it, but I understand it. Sometimes you see a pretty model and you want to see what she's like/what her room is like before you tip her. But if she doesn't have a lot of guys in the room, she sees a new premium and starts trying to engage with you and then you feel awkward if you want to leave. Even though she's just trying to get conversation going and she's trying to be welcoming, it feels like you've been called out. So I can understand why people do it.

Me, I just own the awkwardness, tip her a few tokens, and hide under the table.

Sorry SophiA, here is her tumblr posthttp://sophialocke.tumblr.com/post/78258058707/a-post-for-the-basic-members-on-mfc worth a read IMO.

I am not sure why it matter that premium have basic accounts? Many/most? high tipping premium have multiple premium accounts also.. I check out new models as guest.
If premium is perving on model who is playing a ban the basics game, he either logs in on his premium account, or as a guest or risk getting ban. There is always plenty of warning what is going on.

I guess I just don't care enough about basics to find it fun or entertaining.

I really hope as a society we can put a stop to this whole myth that free things should be free.

I do not do that, but I can understand it. You cannot really learn about a new model from the lounge, because you cannot see what shenanigans are going on in her chat. I have had to leave rooms before, because of excessively creepy stuff going on in the general chat. I do not make a big deal about it, I just say my good byes then flee. Being a basic lets you have a short friend list to organize your investigations also.
