and as a new guy in the room, writing a list of 8 users that were trying to steal tippers might've seemed like trouble-making.
I have to agree with you here - causing friction between models is certainly not the way to go.
Please note, all models are performers and they all want to do the best they can therefore, they all aim for more traffic and new users to their rooms.
Models are free to contact users via PMs as this is not forbidden.
Should you not wish to interact with the model contacting you, either delete the chat, ignore the message, or say 'no thank you, not interested'.
But..
If a model is advertising herself in another models' public room or poaching users via open discussion in another models' public chat, this is not OK and it is not allowed.
You should report the model doing this.
Off topic, sort of, but I have sent in a few reports on "models" who sent me friend requests out of the blue, usually after I've tipped or was the room king. None of them were actual SC models, but level 10 users with a female sounding nick and an open profile advertising an escort service. They tend to come in waves. Wait a minute. Mods get discounts? I thought the only perk was silencing jerks.12 token privates to the mods. 150 tokens to everyone else. Then they wonder why no one wants to do privates.
Probably depends on the model.Wait a minute. Mods get discounts? I thought the only perk was silencing jerks.

Not exactly, but on CB a model can change their private show price whenever they want. So it’s not a built-in “mod discount” but any model that wishes to charge the moderator less has an easy way to do that.
I’ve never encountered a moderator discount, but I’ve visited models that will lower their private show price by around 40 percent for fan club members. And If they change the price during a public show, there is a message in the chat window telling the room what the model changed the price to.
It can be a little awkward when they forget to set the price back to normal after a fan club private show, then they remember after another visitor has already seen the discounted price and begun discussing a private with them.
May not be the case here, but sometimes there can be other reasons for doing this.I shouldn't care because in reality it does not affect myself what so ever. I just find it amusing reading the reactions from others in the room who payed the 150token rate then see a mod get a 12token special treatment.
K, moving on. I'm coming across as one of 'them'. (One of 'them' being someone who obsesses over something that does not concern them)

Generally I'm really against lowering private rates, because it suggests preferential treatment, creates resentment amongst viewers, and devalues the model's time.
But I have agreed sometimes when I can see that the model just needs to create some space off public view, can't go home early, and would still benefit from the tokens. I did ask her to keep the rate the same, but she's the boss..... gotta pick your battles sometimes.
I understand about the idea of a fan club member 'discount', but I've lost count of how many times I've seen a fan club member sit all through a show and never tip.I think it’s fine in the context of a fan club discount. Fan clubs are commonly understood to come with small perks, and to also cost the member something up front. So it’s easier to accept preferential treatment when it’s been “paid for,” in sense. The special rate is part of a transaction, as opposed to a straight-up “I like this person so I’ll charge him less” type deal. And in theory, it’s a level playing field because anyone can buy a fan club membership and get the same perk.
But otherwise, I’d agree that it looks odd when different members get different rates. Even if there’s a good reason for it, as a member watching the rates change, it can make you wonder how you landed at your price point.
Exactly. I don't care if someone else gets a cheaper rate than me, I figure the model has a reason.Personally, I don't care if some get special treatment for any reason, it could be anything (they could be big tippers, you don't see if they tip offline or maybe the days they tip when she is online, or maybe there was an agreement - they could have bought things from the amazon wishlist, lovense list, etc).
I have always hated the fact on CB the price shows in public chat, I get why, it's so the model can't trick the user and go "yes bb I changed the price now it's lower" or quickly change the price to be really high. I understand all of this, however, I think it should be like other places and not shown to the public, as it can create problems.
Exactly. I don't care if someone else gets a cheaper rate than me, I figure the model has a reason.
I like the fact that on SC you do not know if the rates change for different users, unless the model forgets to reset the rate after the private has finished.

I was more or less joking. The model I mod for is very generous with me.Not exactly, but on CB a model can change their private show price whenever they want. So it’s not a built-in “mod discount” but any model that wishes to charge the moderator less has an easy way to do that.
heard that some do it, but surely they'd have to be doing something pretty spectacular to drive up the model's earnings enough to deserve payment in kind?Is anyone aware of models tipping out mods at the end of a shift? Like waitresses to busboys?
Yesterday I found a new room, and was enjoying the show when the model's dog appeared and pushed his muzzle into her crotch while she was pleasuring herself.
She kept pushing the dog away, but it just persisted, over and over. 400+ other people didn't seem to mind, but I left the room because of it.
I was volunteered . I would never suggest such an arrangement but a couple of mods that I talk to put in so much time and energy. They conform thier sleep schedules to Europe and Asia. But obviously there are worse ways to spend your days.heard that some do it, but surely they'd have to be doing something pretty spectacular to drive up the model's earnings enough to deserve payment in kind?
I put in plenty of hours, but am strictly an amateur volunteer - the model volunteered me
I have seen similar, and all I can think is "Just put the damned animal outside and shut the fucking door!"Yeah, that would be off-putting for me too.
The closest thing I’ve seen to that was a cat, which came across awkward and didn’t help the mood, but was also kinda funny. The cat thought the model pleasuring herself was trying to play (not entirely wrong) and would sneak-attack, running in quickly, swatting at her danger zone with its paws and then running away. The model did her best to make him go away, but cats in play mode are persistent.
I'm kind of the opposite. A few years ago I spent time in a model's room on MFC. She spent most of her time in public chat and her cat was usually behind her on the bed while she was at her desk. It was an interesting cat and it even did tricks. She had a couples of tip items to give the cat a treat or a special treat. If there was anything sexual other than topless she put the cat out of the room. She was the bubbly type and it added interest to the chats and was actually pretty popular. She eventually gave up sex camming and moved to Twitch.I have seen similar, and all I can think is "Just put the damned animal outside and shut the fucking door!"
I find the situation with animals on beds frolicking amongst toys etc to be quite off-putting.

Can't help wondering how many guys got disappointed when they tipped for 'please my pussy' without realising what it meant then! She had a couples of tip items to give the cat a treat or a special treat.
I think some models will hug their cat or dog but it's nothing bad, they don't do it with bad intentions, but I understand exactly why this is forbidden, I have seen it happen on CB where a model has clothes and hugs the cat or dog, then you will have guys start to ask to hug more and other stuff.. a lot of gross and fucked up guys turn innocent stuff into bad things, it's unfortunate
Perhaps I should have specified (didn't think I had to, as we are talking web cam models): by toys, I meant sex toys, not cat toys.I'm kind of the opposite. I guess it depends on the context.
Yeah, that would put me off too.Perhaps I should have specified (didn't think I had to, as we are talking web cam models): by toys, I meant sex toys, not cat toys.
I have seen cats cavorting across te bed over Lush, Domi and whatever. Even if they aren't in direct contact with toys, there's cat hair all over the place, those things shed like a bastard. But the model I was thinking of in particular, the cat was actually pawing at her toys, so.. y'know... cat paws are in kitty litter, dirt, licked by a tongue that has been licking its arse; and then touching something the model is about to put inside herself??
As we say down here: "Yeah, nah." it did not appeal to me, so I did not tip and I left.
ETA, there was NOTHING sexual in the interactions, as a Virgo, my concern was entirely regarding hygiene
