Off topic, sort of, but I have sent in a few reports on "models" who sent me friend requests out of the blue, usually after I've tipped or was the room king. None of them were actual SC models, but level 10 users with a female sounding nick and an open profile advertising an escort service. They tend to come in waves. Been a while since I had one.

Not exactly, but on CB a model can change their private show price whenever they want. So it’s not a built-in “mod discount” but any model that wishes to charge the moderator less has an easy way to do that.

I’ve never encountered a moderator discount, but I’ve visited models that will lower their private show price by around 40 percent for fan club members. And If they change the price during a public show, there is a message in the chat window telling the room what the model changed the price to.

It can be a little awkward when they forget to set the price back to normal after a fan club private show, then they remember after another visitor has already seen the discounted price and begun discussing a private with them.

May not be the case here, but sometimes there can be other reasons for doing this.
The model I mod for sometimes asks to go private just to chat, listen to music etc; generally if she's having a bad day, feeling unwell, or has had to deal with too many idiots.
She suggests dropping the usual rate because it doesn't involve her doing anything physical, and puts the spy rate to zero which (on CB at least) stops anyone being able to listen in.
Generally I'm really against lowering private rates, because it suggests preferential treatment, creates resentment amongst viewers, and devalues the model's time.

I understand about the idea of a fan club member 'discount', but I've lost count of how many times I've seen a fan club member sit all through a show and never tip.
Sure, some do tip, but others seem to see their green username status as an entitlement to sit there, like 'I've paid my dues'. And let's face it, most fan clubs are very reasonably priced.
It was a long time ago, but I remember one room where the model was running a bot that provided discounts to users based on cumulative tip amount per month. The discount % increased by how much they had tipped.
Seemed like good motivation, and obvious to all how the discount functioned.

Only problem was that towards the end of the month, all the regulars wanted their discounted privates, jostling for the model's time.

I think that if people don' see it get changed, then they never know, then it doesn't cause problems and bad thoughts. The fact is, if you are and have been happy paying XX price for that model and enjoy her shows, then keep paying that. "Out of sight. Out of mind" so to speak, not seeing it makes you not even think about the model changing the price.

I was more or less joking. The model I mod for is very generous with me.

But I was curious, I know a few mods that seem to do it full time. I know some are retired but they spend 12 hours or more per day with sometimes two or three models. Is anyone aware of models tipping out mods at the end of a shift? Like waitresses to busboys?

I was volunteered . I would never suggest such an arrangement but a couple of mods that I talk to put in so much time and energy. They conform thier sleep schedules to Europe and Asia. But obviously there are worse ways to spend your days.

It was an interesting cat and it even did tricks. She had a couples of tip items to give the cat a treat or a special treat. If there was anything sexual other than topless she put the cat out of the room. She was the bubbly type and it added interest to the chats and was actually pretty popular.
