Kinda wanna see this. Partly 'cos it looks like someone took Amelie and replaced all the whimsy and joie de vivre with dirty sex (as in unhygienic sex), anal-sex-poo, and period blood; and also partly 'cos it's based on a book that I haven't read but have heard is very good.

So this is on Netflix US now and... it's quite something. I'd recommend it to anyone who can handle being bombarded with bodily fluids, haemorrhoids, improper use of tampons, gaping asshole wounds, and questionable sexual practices. And buried beneath the superficiality of all that stuff, there's a quietly affecting, sad tale being told. And the opening credits take place inside a pube. So...

I started this a couple nights ago! I have to watch it in 2 parts because I don't know why eating a late night meal and watching this was a good idea at the time :lol:
I had to stop at the second shaving scene, which is actually not even as bad as the stuff that happens before that ie. the first shaving scene. It's pretty gross, but charming! I can definitely see the Amelie resemblance. Watching the rest right now!
